Hello Son,
Dad and Mom were at the corner-shop coffee house along the Viva office this morning.
Justine's in school, sitting for her History paper.

We left the house about 10am.
Yes yes, we went for a morning swim. Today was much better, the water was not as cold as the day before and your mother enjoyed her her swim.

In the car, the song FOREVER YOU AND ME (HIGH) was the next song that came on after the first that was half-way through. Mom told herself that she would check on the video when she has the time because the lyrics are quite nice.
Mom had a really nice breakfast of toasted bread with curry chicken and teh si peng kurang manis (ice milk tea less sugar).
The curry was really very good.
The curry was really very good.
Dad only had a cup of coffee.
Whilst we were having breakfast, we couldn't help but hear the song:
... that was being played faintly in the background.
SOMEWHERE OUT THERE
... that was being played faintly in the background.
Dad heard it.
Mom heard it.
We both heard it.
It may have been soft and mild and almost insignificant to the other patrons, but it surely impacted your parents very much.
Memories just caved in.
Your parents looked at each other, and exchanged a weary sigh.
Somewhere Out There, the song from the cartoon An American Tail ...
The second video that Aunty Carol created for You on your 3rd month with Jesus, instantly sprang to mind. This video has some photos of our family holidaying together with Aunty Jessie and Uncle Craig in the States when You were 10 years old.
The family members, including your aunties have commented on more than one occasion that this song makes them think of You and Justine singing together.
Somewhere out there
beneath the pale moonlight
Someone's thinking of me
and loving me tonight
Somewhere out there
someone's saying a prayer
That we'll find one another
in that big somewhere out there
And even though I know
how very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing
on the same bright star
And when the night wind starts
to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping
underneath the same big sky
Somewhere out there
if love can see us through
Then we'll be together somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true
Viewing your video again makes the eyes all misty.
Blink blink blink.
Your family misses You very much, Daniel, more than You will ever know. <3
