Call 359 : TWO DIGITS

Hello Son,                                                       (continue from Call 358)

Saturday, April 21

Shortly after, about 20 minutes later or thereabouts, it started to drizzle. Gentle drops of water falling from the sky. Mom looked up into the clouds. Are You watering God's garden? :D

Dad said to keep the candles and the camera.

Dad went to the car to get the umbrella, and continued to arrange the flowers ... whilst Mom got the cue and ... um, started singing ...

Did You hear her?

Could You?

Has she ever mentioned that it's quite an experience singing at the top of your lungs in a cemetary - memorial garden - especially with all the tomb stones standing attentively as your audience.

The only thing that was missing was a mike.

Mom was sure You were singing with her.

You were, she knows ...

How gentle is the rain
That falls softly on the meadow
Birds high up in the trees
serenade the clouds with their melody

By Kelly Chen.

Mom said, "Dans don't want us to stay long today ..."

After planting the flowers on the garden bed, we packed up. We were slowly driving down the slope, and passing by several garden plots with flowers that had withered.

Dad commented, "And that is why we use everlasting flowers ..."

Would You believe it but no sooner had Dad mentioned that, about two seconds later, we both heard the lyrics :

Roses are red but not forever ...

that came on the radio. A song from the Golden Years obviously.

The time was 10:56 am.

Decode : 21

Omg ...

Zzzzaaapppp!!!

How perfect is the timing?

You must have whispered to your father. :D

How else then?

Gosh, what are the chances? Mom was shaking her head in disbelief. Dad had a smile on his face. As we were driving out from the memorial park onto the highway, a car with the registration plate 21 drove passed us, on our right.

Mom pointed and started to scramble for her cellphone. Where is her cellphone? Where is that darn cellphone? Where is it? Where is it?

Oh, oh forget it. There was no time to take a photo. Her mobile and the camera were at the back seat.

Dad saw that vehicle. Yes, yes, Mom made sure he saw it. Your mother has been trained to always have a witness when it comes to things that really uh, matter.

21?

Oh Wow ...

Before she could digest the - zap - believe it or not, a few seconds later, we saw a second vehicle with the two digit number 21 again, in front of us, this time on our left.

"Two 21s, one after another. One on the right, and one on the left," Mom announced excitedly.

"That was definitely son telling us he's near. It's him ..." your mother continued happily.

That evening, Mom was relating to Justine about the inciDANs that happened that day.

After listening to everything your mother had to say, your sister said, "Listen to this song ..." (which she downloaded on her cell)

Mom has not heard of the song before. No comment, please.

She googled YOUTUBE for a video, downloaded below.

By Taylor Swift and The Civil Wars.

As she viewed the video, she caught sight of an image of a DEER at one point ...

That made her sit right up.

Mom did not say anything at first, it was too random ... but a second image of the DEER appeared and she then found herself exclaiming, "Omg, DEER Jus..."

(Call 353 : Deer Pants)

Justine and Mom then replayed the video to check the times the DEER appears.

The first : 2:51

Decode : 44

The second : 3:32

Decode : 44

Omg ... both times at her angel numbers.

Oh wow ...

ZAP ZAP ZAP.

How amazing ...

What are the chances?

Angel chance for sure.

You were definitely with us, we could tell. :D

Soon after, Mom heard the lines "WE ARE YOUNG" coming from Justine's cell.

"Hey, a YOUNG song," Mom said. "What song is this?"

(Call 357 : Young Songs)

Your sister said, "WE ARE YOUNG by FUN."

And then added, "It's right after SAFE & SOUND."

Pause ...

All YOU.

Yes, YOU.

Nobody nobody but You.

By Fun.

Call 358 : ELECTRIC BLUE

Hello Son,

Saturday, April 21

This Saturday morning, Dad and Mom went to your garden. It's your 27th month anniversary today. Justine did not go with us. Your sister was having classes that morning.

We were almost reaching the memorial garden.

Mom muttered under her breath that she has yet to receive a zap that morning. The radio was on. She found herself glaring at the player. Not one single song made sense that morning. All the songs that had come on had been so darn weird.

Frown.

Think.

Argh, she gave up. Mentally, she sent a dial-up connection right up to heaven. Yes, yes, only mothers with children in heaven are able to do that. Hah.

Hello?

Hello God?

Is Daniel there? Where is he? We haven't heard from him today. Why hasn't he said anything? Is he still sleeping? It's his 21st today. Could You please wake him up and get him to send us a zap?

She put down her invisible phone in her head ... and sighed heavily. Something always, always ... ALWAYS happen on your 21st ... apart from all the other days of the month.

Today, there was like - nothing ...

She hates that feeling ...

Mom began to feel quite irritated with the song that was on at that moment. She kept hearing the same line being repeated over and over and over again ...  Shouldn't it end already? Gosh, it's been going on like forever?

We're about to reach your garden ...

Maybe the next song is IF I DIE YOUNG ...

or or or ... 21 GUNS ...

or or or ... SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW ...

The song continued to grate at her nerves and all her functioning senses ...

this that this that - ELECTRIC BLUE ...

that this that this - ELECTRIC BLUE ...

bla bla bla - ELECTRIC BLUE ...

more bla bla bla - ELECTRIC BLUE ...

Yes, it was one very irritating Electric Blue song ...

Mom reached over to change the station, grumbling to Dad,

"None of his songs are on. Not a single one today. Why ah?" :(

The station was switched.

Mom leaned back.

Another weird song.

Dad said, "That was Electric Blue ..."

Pause ...

Your mother turned to look at Dad.

Should that mean something? You want the truth? It was unusual to hear Dad making a statement in an attempt to make a connection to You. Why, that was her expertise. Her God-given natural effortless expertise ... and nobody can take that away from her. Hah!

She clicked back to the Electric Blue station.

The song was still on. Aiyohhh ...

Your mother heard herself saying out loud, "Oh you mean, electric blue like ... like ... his ELECTRIC BLUE guitar?"

Or rather, your blue electric guitar ...

Dad said nothing.

"Why, what do you mean?" Mom asked.

Dad fell silent.

She hates it when Dad makes a "Oh time, stand still ..." statement and doesn't explain.

Grimace.

So far fetched.

She's trying too hard.

When it's a ZAP from her son from heaven, it shouldn't be so difficult. It's like SNAP!

Snap your fingers, please. You'd just know. You don't have to deduce or try to make a hypothesis.

You'd -- just -- know ...

Mom glanced at the time.

"Hey, it's 10:21 am ..." she said, with a reluctant smile.

Decode : 4

Hmmm ... it's always good to see her angel signs. Was that supposed to be a ZAP, Son? That ... that Electric Blue song, she wondered. Maybe it was ...

She wasn't sure ...

We reached your garden a few minutes later.

Mom took the candies and walked over to your garden plot. She brought a trolly filled with chocolates for You for Easter.

No, no, of course not. They are not all for You.

You're meant to share them ... :D

Chuckle.

Reaching your site, your mother stopped abruptly.

Hey, what's that on the ground?

She walked closer, narrowing her eye-brows ...

Oh my gosh ...

The blue towel was right at that spot as in the photo
when your mother found it.

Is that a blue towel?

BLUE???

Oh My Gosh ...

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

OMG honestly ...

Are You kidding her?

What are the chances of finding a BLUE towel at your garden spot?

Had it been pink or orange or yellow or green or purple or black or brown or white or grey ... it would NOT have zapped your mother at all.

No no no, not at all.

OMG ...

It was BLUE ...

Gosh, what are the chances?

Seriously, what are the chances?

Honestly, what are the chances of Mom finding a blue towel just right after all that Electric Blue lines she had been hearing and on top that, was she not wondering whether it was a zap from her son?

Omg, You were responding to your mother ...

  By Icehouse.

It's me la, Ma ... Slow la you, Ma ..

Replay ...

Just before we reached here, the song was going on and on about Electric Blue. Mom would not have thought much about it except that Dad for some reason made a statement ... that um, caused her to think.

You must have shook your head when Mom changed the station, and whispered to Dad.

Tell Mom that was Electric Blue, Dad ...

Dad approached.

Grinning from ear to ear, Mom pointed to the blue towel on the ground, and said to your father,

"Finally ..." :D

Call 357 : YOUNG SONGS

Hello Son,

Have to tell You about these inciDANs that happened a day after Easter. :D

Monday, April 9

This morning, on the way to school,

TONIGHT IS WHAT IT MEANS TO BE YOUNG

came on the radio.

The time on the dashboard showed 6:51 am.

Decode : 21

Oh Wow ... Mom must say she was really surprised to hear the song on the radio. Tonight Is What It Means To Be Young ... You don't ever hear this song on the radio. No ...  the radio station only play this song like, once a year maybe.

This is a very very very old song ...

Another one of your dinosaur songs ah, Ma ...

Mom can almost hear You say. :D

Your mother was introduced to the song during her college time in 1984. Note the year. Do your calculation.

See all the angel numbers?

4 4 4 4 4

CoinciDANS?

Hmmm, 1984 ...

That was the year when Karate Kid (Daniel Larusso)

and Together in Electric Dreams were also out.

Tsk tsk tsk Ma ... Brontosaurus and Tyrannosaurus ...

Isn't it funny that your mother is able to remember the YEAR of these songs? Who would have thought that her favourite songs that year would turn out 28 years later to zap her in a way that would help connect herself to her son in heaven? How incredible is that?

Gosh ...

Truly, everything's been planned out nicely by the Lord.

Anyway, that song is from a movie (Streets of Fire). Mom doesn't remember the story, only the part where Diane Lane sang the song. That's her only favourite part. Big time favourite.

You know that now, don't You?

Here, take a moment to watch the video ...

Movie : Streets of Fire

Say a prayer in the darkness

for the magic to come

Hmmm ... the song. Was that a zap? Mom couldn't be sure. It was too coinciDANtal. If it was, there would be another sign ...

After school that day, Mom fetched the children home.

After sending the last kid, she was on her way home, when WILL YOU STILL LOVE ME TOMORROW came on the radio.

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

Dot 26 : Botak

Mom glanced at the time. It was 1:11 pm.

Decode : 21

She remembered the time of the song this morning.

6:51 am.

She had thought to herself at the time ... 111 ... before she saw the instant, clear bright 21. :D

WILL YOU STILL LOVE ME TOMORROW

By James Durbin.

You must have seen your mother smile from ear to ear.

Was that her second sign?

Apatosaurus, Maa ... :D

Of course it was ... The song had come on when all the kids were out of the car, and she was all alone driving back to school ... There were no distraction, she was so meant to hear it ...

ZAP ZAP ZAP.

That evening, after we had locked up, and was driving back home ... FOREVER YOUNG filled the car and her senses.

It was 7:18 pm.

Decode : 4444

Your mother's first thoughts were ...

Huh?

FOREVER YOUNG?

YOUNG ... Like - again?

Spinosaurus, Maa ... :D

This morning's song was also a YOUNG song.

What a coinciDANs ...

Young and Young ...

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

That night, Mom received a text from Aunty J in the States. The time of her sms was 9:42:04 pm.

Decode : 44

She said :

"HAPPY EASTER ...

Hope your weekend was a beautiful one ..."

Yes, Aunty J would be celebrating Easter on her side then.

Mom replied:

"Hapi Easter ...

Always gud to be reminded that bc of Jesus,

Dans is alive n kickin' ..."

Aunty J replied back, but not immediately.

She said :

Awww ... You'll never need to worry abt dans anymore. He has the best accommodations in the greatest of all paradise in heaven ... we will get to join him some day. He got express tix just like dad n trace ... we have to move on and live our lives n make the best out of it until we meet again n i know u r trying ...

Mom found herself scrolling down to check the time of the sms.

A smile broke out when she saw the time recorded as

11:01:10 pm.

Decode : 4

Did You whisper that msg to Aunty J, Son?

You did, didn't You? :D

Would You just check out the time?

That time was just too perfect. Gosh, unbelievable. You must have seen your mother stare at her cellphone for several um, seconds. Mom went to bed thinking about her two YOUNG zaps and her Easter message. :D

Tuesday, April 10

The next day, after picking the children and fetching them to school, your mother soon realized, some ten minutes later, that she forgot to fetch one kid.

The last one.

Oh dear, he would be waiting with his mother at the condo.

Quickly, she hurried to the car.

She jumped into the car. As she turned on the ignition, would You believe it but the lyrics of IF I DIE YOUNG (the song was half way through) came on immediately.

Mom was startled.

Omg ...

IF I DIE YOUNG???

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

Another YOUNG zap???

The time was 8:37 am.

Decode : 144

Oh boy, how quaint ...

First, she had :

Tonight is what it means to be Young ...

Then, Forever Young ...

And now, If I Die Young ...

OMG ... Somebody pinch her, please.

Mom was speeding all the way to the boy's home, thinking aloud and with a big grin :

You really are with your mother, aren't You, Daniel?

You really, really are.

What are the chances of her hearing all the YOUNG songs at all the right time? Had she gone down to the car just two minutes later, she would have missed the song.

Omg ...

It was incredible ...

The Band Perry. Smallville

Mom reached the boy's condo. His mother did not seem to mind that she was late that day, probably thinking it was the traffic that delayed her.

So anyway, we were on the way back to school.

Drive drive drive ...

Think think think ...

Smile smile smile ...

Just as we were about to reach school, Mom suddenly spotted this car in front, which zapped her.

Omg ...

JES 3396 ...

Omg Omg Omg ...

Aunty Jessie's sms last night ...

3396 ...

Decode : 21

Omg ...

You're referring to Aunty J's sms, aren't You? You want Mom to take notice of Aunty Jes' sms, don't You? Oh gosh ...

It's true what Aunty J say, Maa ... :D

Pause ...

Gosh, that moment for Mom was unbelievable.

We arrived in school. Mom parked the car.

Before getting out, Mom quickly read Aunty J's sms again.

Okay Son ...

Yeah okay ...

Mom got your message, Son ...

How incredible, how absolutely incredible, that You are able to zap your mother ... and on a daily basis.

And that, Ladies & Gentlemen, is what EASTER is all about. Thank You Jesus for conquering death and for saving us ... because of the cross, we will not die in vain but have eternal life. We certainly look forward to the day when we can all be together again. Keep a journal, will You please? :D

We love You, Son ...

Keep the zaps coming.
