Call 477 : ANGEL SINGLET

Hello Son,

Saturday, June29

Mom was walking to the basement (4 levels underground) to get the car.

It was a Saturday and the maid needs to do some cleaning in school. As she was walking down the stairways, she found herself thinking of what Aunty D said the night before, in Aunty D's sms to the family.

Aunty D had sent a photo of Baby M in their new apartment.

Aunty D said (@ 5:16 pm):

"Megs arranging her own room."

Justine commented (@ 5:19 pm) : OMG SHE HAS THE HAND BEAN BAG CHAIR! D;

Aunty D replied (@ 5:24 pm) : That chair was free.

Mom read the text and her heart skipped a beat at that - that 4 letter F word.

Your mother commented (@ 5:25 pm) : FREE?

Aunty D said (@ 5:25 pm) : Haha ... yes ... FREE ...

Smiling broadly, your mother texted back (@ 5:27 pm) : Awww FREE ...

After that, there was no more texting. We went back to do whatever we were doing then. Aunty D was unpacking in her new apartment, which is one floor below our home by the way, whilst Mom was on the carpet, thinking of how to choreograph a dance routine for the children's concert.

Awhile later, your mother checked her cell and found Aunty D's reply (@ 6:33 pm) :

Yup ... thanks dans (and inserted the logo of an angel at the end of the msg)

Mom quickly noted the time.

633.

Why that's 21.

It's so easy.

FREE ...

Aww FREE ...

Everywhere we are, there You'll be ...

So anyway, (remember) Mom was still going down the stairways ...

She found herself spiralling back to a certain FREE gift that You gave her through Aunty D. It was a handbag accessory and a mirror. Both FREE. Aunty D had given them to Mom and at the time, Mom knew - she knew - You had found a way to give your mother a present for Mother's Day. The distance between heaven and earth did not stop You from giving your mother a small gift.

Correction, two small gifts.

She walked over to the car ... got onto the driver's seat ... turned on the ignition.

The radio came on ... a song was on ...

Gasp.

Omg ...

What are the chances?

Seriously, what are the chances?

Whitney's Houston's A Moment In Time ...

The time no the dashboard showed 8:09 am : the 2nd verse of the song was on.

Decode : 44

Gosh, we all know this song ends loud and clear at the end with a :

"I will be ... I will be ... FREEeeeeee ..."

Omg ...

That was unbelievable ...

You must have whispered to Mom :

FREE Ma ... FREE ... :D

Otherwise why else would she be thinking about that FREE inciDAN so specifically at that moment in time? You definitely whispered to Mom, You definitely did - she knows You did. It's too obvious.

Also, You know what?

On Mom's birthday on Tuesday, June 25 ... Yes, the same day Michael Jackson died ... Dad and Mom went to Bangsar Village for lunch ... We drove into the parking area, and lo and behold, we saw two vehicles coming out of their bays at the same time. Wait for the good part. This is not it. Not yet. You know this place is not known for having unoccupied bays.

Dad said under his breath as he was reversing in, "Thanks Son ..." :D

Mom repeated loudly with a big grin, "Yeah, THANKS SON ..."

So anyway, after a really nice lunch at Botanicals, about an hour and a half later, we went back to the car.

The moment Dad started the car engine, the song that came on immediately on the radio was one of the same : ONE MOMENT IN TIME.

Mom had commented then, "One Moment in Time ... I will be FREE-eeee ... It's Son ... He wants me to know he's with me ... It's my birthday, of course he's with me ..." :D

Her birthday zap, she had thought happily.

Thank You, Son, she had sent You a telephatic message.

We had a really nice dinner with the family in our home that Tuesday night. Mom insisted on having dinner at home. So Dad tapau-ed crabs ... butter crabs and kam heong crabs ... and Grandma made laksa and mango pudding with glutinous rice ... your aunties tapau-ed pandan chicken and brought the cake. :D Oh, Dad also made shitake mushrooms with the brown sauce -- the one that Aunty Iris made on your last birthday before You left us a month later. :( Don't tell Dad but Mom doesn't fancy that dish. Your aunties and Grandma loved it though.

Grandma bought a pair gold ear-rings for Mom.

Aunty D said, when they came through the door, "When we were at the shop just now, Megan was playing with their calculator ... and the number that appeared was 484 ..."

Mom listened.

A big smile spread across her face. You must have seen that.

Aunty D is aware of your mother's angel numbers.

Aunty D, Baby M and Uncle C

Aunty D walked over to the computer desk and picked up a scissors. She wanted to remove the plastic covering over the baby chair for Megan to sit. Looking at the scissors that she had picked up, Aunty D said, "Eh, this is Daniel's scissors ..."

Yup, your name is written on the blue scissors.

Aunty D continued, "This afternoon, I picked up a stapler in Mom's car, and it has Daniel's name on it too ..."

Your stapler? With Grandma? In her car?

Grin.

Hmm, guess we should just cut and staple together all the little pieces to see the big picture, huh ...

So anyway, dinner was lovely. Everyone knew where Mom wanted to sit ... and they left that seat empty for her. It's the chair nearest to your portrait. :D

We were soon at the living room huffing and puffing with our bloated stomachs when Megan spilled some water on her dress. Grandma asked Justine to find something for her to change into.

Your sister brought Baby M into her room, and some 10 minutes later, they both re-appeared, causing immediate laughter around the TV room. Mom turned to see what the commotion was all about.

Oh my ...

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

Baby M was wearing an overly large singlet that showed her -- everything :D ... but that's not what Mom was looking at ... She couldn't help but stare at the word that was spread across the singlet :

ANGEL ...

Oh boy ...

Mom whispered to Dad, "This is Son's idea ... He's behind it ... I know it's him ... He must have whispered to Justine to choose that ANGEL singlet ..."

Dad agreed with a laugh, "Yeah, that's something Son would do ..."

Mom confirmed with a knowing smile, "It's definitely Son ..."

How many times has Baby M come to our place? Not once has the babe had to change into your sister's clothes. The maid would always carry the baby's bag of stuffs everywhere they go ... but that night, the maid didn't.

Strange?

Nah ...

It's part of the plan ... :D By the way, that ANGEL singlet is not the above purple tee shirt. Justine changed Megan into that purple tee shirt after the big laugh.

Here's Kish with her new friend ... :D

Haha ...

Haagen Dazs ice-cream cake ...

Justine, Aunty C and Grandma

Here's Grandma with Baby M ...

Make a wish ... and let's blow out the candles ...

Thank You, Son, for being with us and making your presence felt.

On Friday, June 28 ... after school ... which was probably around 8:00 pm ... Dad, Justine and Mom were in the car. We were driving home. In Taman Desa, Dad asked whether we wanted to have nasi kukus for dinner.

Mom would normally say yes to that. The nasi kukus here is really delicious. However, she heard herself telling Dad, "Let's have KFC tonight."

KFC ...

Yup, KFC ...

Dad parked the car by the side of the road, and went into the eatery.

He came out some 10 minutes later, hopped into the car, and announced,

"The moment I stepped in the shop, IF I DIE YOUNG came on ..."

"In KFC?" Mom asked with raised eyebrows.

Dad said, "Yes ..."

Mom pounced excitedly, "The beginning of the song?"

Even if it wasn't - the beginning of the song - did it matter?

Dad said, "Yes, I stepped inside, and the song started ... from the beginning ..."

How sweet to hear that.

How perfect.

We would have eaten nasi kukus that night ... except that You must have whispered to Mom : KFC Ma ... :D

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

Call 476 : NOOB WORD

Hello Son,

Mom's at the computer, listening to songs for the year end concert. She had given Dad a list of songs she wanted him to download from the internet a week ago. Dad has done so. Today, she has some time and was going through the songs, with your headphones ... that Dad reminded, he bought for You. :D

Selected WONG FEI HONG.

Then, Mulan's BRING HONOR TO US ALL.

After that, Dana's ALL KINDS OF EVERYTHING ... reminds me of You.

The next song was SUKIYAKI. Mom saw the name of the artist and exclaimed to Dad, "Woah, Daniela Mercury ..."

Mom listened to the Japanese song, and suddenly thought of googling the lyrics.

She keyed in the words : lyric sukiyaki japanese

A page appeared.

Mom glanced at the first link ... then the second link ... and next, the third link.

She found herself clicking on the third link ... she saw the words kittycurious and the line, I am in no way fluent in Japanese ... and suddenly felt a connection ... with what, she couldn't tell.

Perhaps, kitty ... as in HELLO Kitty ...

Like HELLO -- OOOO ... :D

And the words I am in no way fluent in Japanese ... why, that's her already.

Hello - ooo ...

She came to this page ...

Ue wo Muite Arukou (Sukiyaki) lyrics

Dancin' - Kitty

Yesterday I was trying to find the kanji lyrics to Ue wo Muite Arukou, aka. Sukiyaki, by the artist Sakamoto Kyu. However, despite my best efforts (Which probably weren't that great) I couldn't find them anywhere. The most I could find was the romaji version of it, and that's basically everywhere.

So, seeing as the kanji lyrics were lacking, and I really wanted them, I decided to make them. These are mostly for my personal use, but I figured since I spent hours on them I would put them out on the web for anyone else who maybe wanted them. (For the five of you out there that may have been searching for them.)

Also, please note I am in no way fluent in Japanese, and my Japanese skill is 'noob' at best.

Gasp ...

W-what???

Noob???

Omg ... that's your word.

You used to like to say this word at one point in your young life ...

Mom looked at the top of the page and saw the date this entry was posted.

Gasp some more ...

April 12, 2009 @ 1:03 pm

She exclaimed excitedly to Dad, "Omg ... April 12 ... that's 214 ... 21 and 24 ... and 103 ... that's 4 ... Look at the lyrics ... this is how I need to read it ... the suku kata way ... Son is helping me with the Japanese song ..."

Awww ...

Justine came through the door a few minutes ago. Mom showed her the website and read the above paragraph until the noob word.

Your sister gave a big grin.

Honestly, what are the chances?

Truly, all kinds of everything, remind us of You ...

Call 475 : 41st MONTH

Hello Son,

Thinking about You and missing You on your 41st month with JESUS and MOTHER MARY in heaven.

Here's a video with the song BECAUSE YOU LOVED ME ... the song that You asked Mom why she was teaching her kids such a difficult song.

Remember?

Not only that, but this video has clips of the animated movie UP ... the first and last movie that You and Mom went to watch at the cinema together ... that weekend, Justine was away at camp (Mom did not allow You to go for that) and Dad was outstation. Mom remembers regretting watching that movie with You then when that death scene appeared ... she remembers the loud silence when that scene came upon us.

Now, she sees the reason why we were there watching UP together.

It's all part of the Plan ...

Pause ...

There is never a moment that You are not on your mother's mind, Daniel ...

It's just too amazing how You zap Mom daily and remind her tirelessly that You're near.

God is good to us.

Love You and Miss You so very much, Son ... <3

Dad, Mom & Justine

Call 474 : BIG RAT

Hello Son,

It's Saturday today. Justine is at home with Mom. Your aunties are planning to go shopping in a bit but Mom said she would give it a miss. She too behind all her long-distance calls. :D

Sigh ...

If only she could have like ... 30 hours in a day ...

You're on our minds all the time, You know that, don't You? There's not a single fraction of a moment that You're not on your mother's mind.

Not a single one, Son ... and that's okay. You know why? Well, some weeks ago, when Mom was at the medical book store, she came across a book that, upon flipping the pages, said : Do no underestimate the time period of grieving ... people may still be grieving even after 7 years after the loss of a loved one ...

Seven years ... and still grieving ...

What's seven years? That's nothing ...

Huh ...

Mom will easily break that record, she'll tell You now. :D

It's been such a hectic, crazy two weeks. Mom received all your zaps and signs and is constantly reminded that You're right by her side. Thank You for that, Son.

God is good.

So anyway, she must tell You about this inciDAN that happened to Grandma ... before Grandma's birthday on Saturday, June 1.

Tuesday, May 28

4 days before Grandma's birthday do.

Grandma sent two photos to the family (Whatsapp) @ 3:26 pm & 3:28 pm :

Mom saw the photos but didn't really pay much attention to them.

Aunty C commented about half and hour later @ 4:05 pm :

"Where did you get that, Mom (Grandma)?"

Grandma's reply came in at 4:19 pm, and it was a mighty long one.

"Hi. surprise. I got a trolley of food stuff for my sat karaoke all free. as we were paying at the cashier, my friend aunty theresa was helping me to unload the trolley. suddenly the whistle blew n the security officers came n told us, you r lucky, yr shopping this morning is all free. i was surprised n told the officer u must be kidding. n he said, not kidding. n true enough, my long bill worth about rm200 was just written off. then they garland me. placed crown on my head and plenty of shots were taken together with my friend. wow. i told them this shopping was for my bday and they said happy bday. and for once i thought Big Aeon is ok."

Pause ...

Then ... just as the stars and the moon and the sun were aligned in a straight line in her head, she let out an excited outburst.

Omg ...

Mom was with Dad at the time, and she was like ...

Omg ...

Jaw-dropping and all ...

Grandma - was - chosen - as - that - morning's - lucky - winner?

Huh?

W-what?

At that BIG (Carrefour) hypermart?

That same BIG supermarket where only a week ago before that day, Grandma and Mom were there, and we saw a RAT scampering across our section to another, right before our eyes? That same supermarket? We were so shocked to see the RAT.

Eeeee ...

Grandma had in fact complained to one of the staffs who was standing near us about the RAT and the staff's lazy tak-peduli reply was, "Semalam punya tikus lagi besar ..." (Yesterday's rat was bigger ...)

We left the place and vowed never to ever shop in that place again.

So what was Grandma doing there that morning?

You must have whispered to your grandmother. Would You please take a look at the TWO FREE signs in Grandma's text?

Not only that, but look at this sign :

Mom enlarged the photo in her cell and showed it to DAD.

She said excitedly, "Omg, it's Daniel ... I'm telling you, it's Daniel ... He's giving my mom a birthday treat ... look at the sign ... a big fat FREE ... and the numbers ... 24 ... and 6/2013 ... that's 21 ... Omg ..."

What are the chances?

24 being your date of arrival and 21, departure.

Free?

Gosh Son ... everywhere we are, there You'll be ...

Grandma's purchase amounting to RM200 was written off and she got all her Karaoke food stuff and containers for absolutely FREE.

That was really fantastic! What a super birthday treat for Grandma. She was crowned and had her photos taken like she was a celebrity. :D

Free ...

Who would have thought that your pink FREE tee shirt could connect us in this way, Son? Why and how we bought that tee shirt, Mom will never know. Of all the words that could have been on the shirt ...

Free ...

It was all part of the plan, wasn't it?

God' plan ... which You now can take a peek into ... and probably say :

Oh, I see ... that's why this happened, and that's why that happened ... no wonder ... no wonder ... it all adds up now ... it all makes sense now ... and then You holler down to your mother :

God's plan is good, Ma ... :D

Mom hears You ... <3

Loud and clear ... :D

Call 473 : AMAH's BIRTHDAY

Hello Son,

Saturday, June 1

Grandma's birthday.

We were spending the afternoon at the karaoke and a Thai dinner celebration in the evening. :D You were with us the whole time, Daniel.

Mom knows.

Megan is ready for the party.

Aunty D and Aunty C took some time getting ready, so Mom and Justine left for school. The satay man was supposed to deliver satay to the school at 12 noon. It was about 11:30 then.

In school, while waiting for the satay man to arrive, Mom showed Justine the ART box Dad brought to school the day before. The art works that Justine and You did when she was 6 years old, and You 5, are nicely kept in this box.

Justine went through one by one, exclaiming at each one.

Your sister showed Mom your dinosaur art, and said, "Daniel did this ... orange ..." :D

Mom took it and put it on one of the tables, before snapping a photo.

She shared it on WhatsApp (Family).

Upon uploading, she noticed a black shadow across the photo.

Mom deleted it immediately, and proceeded to take a second photo, before sharing with the family.

The photo was quickly uploaded.

As soon as it was uploaded, she saw the time 12:04 pm on the bottom of the photo.

Gosh ...

12:04 ...

Decode : 21 / 24

Your date of departure and arrival.

Pause ...

Gosh ... that first photo had a black shadow across for a reason. Just so she had to take a second one ... which would zap her. The first one, by the way, was taken at 12:03 pm.

Smile ...

She could feel her son's presence ...

He's near ... :D

The swan is by Justine ... it's one of Mom's favourites.

It was almost 1 pm and the satay man had not arrived.

He was an hour late.

Mom called Dad.

Dad said he would drive to school to wait for the satay man, and Justine and Mom can carry on with whatever that was planned ... which at the time, was to pick up Aunty C, Aunty D and Megan to the Karaoke place.

Anyway, along the main road of Taman Desa, Mom noticed a car in front of us with the number plate 6821.

Smiling, Mom said to Justine, "Look, 21 ... and 14 ..."

We watched the car making a left turn after Faber Heights Condo, and at the same time, another vehicle turned out of that lane. Mom saw the plate : 798 ...

and said, "That 24 ... "

"Hey, 21 and 24 ... that's the dinosaur zap just now ..." your mother exclaimed.

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

Fast forward ...

At the Karaoke ...

It was a nice cozy place.

Then Mom walked into the pantry, and saw some photos and snippings of newspaper articles on a wall board. Glancing at the articles, she spotted the caption - words MY HEART WILL GO ON.

Near, far, wherever You are ...

I believe that the heart does go on ...

Aunty D and Megan ...

M was so cute, cheering and clapping loudly for each of the singers.

Justine and Aunty C singing A WHOLE NEW WORLD.

Your sister with Megan.

Grandma was singing one of her Mandarin numbers ... before Megan went up platform, took the mike and sang Burung Kakak Tua. :D

Her mike was turned off so as not disturb Grandma's moment.

See how earnestly the babe is singing?

She really is a cutey ...

We dedicated BECAUSE YOU LOVED ME to Grandma.

Justine, Megan, Aunty C, Mom and Aunty D.

Our second song : MY HEART WILL GO ON.

Did You hear us, Daniel?

Anyway, 3 hours passed briefly.

Fast Forward ...

Grandma's dinner guests arrived around 7:30 pm.

That's Father Daniel on the left.

Father Daniel saying a prayer ...

Grandma presenting Father with a gift.

The food was awesome. All the guests enjoyed the dishes.

The pandan chicken ... is out of this world.

We were so engrossed with the food, that we forgot to take photos
after the first two. :D

MAY THE GOOD LORD BLESS YOU ...

The writing on the cake says :

May the good Lord bless you with many more birthdays.

During cake time, the guests played BINGO.

Father Daniel was intrigued by the BINGO wheel.

Each guest was given a BINGO card.

Father Daniel gave his card to Aunty D - preferring to turn the wheel. :D

Aunty D was waiting for the last number 48 for a BINGO.

Decode : 21

And guess what?

That number was called, and she had a BINGO!

One of the ladies also called out BINGO, right after Aunty D.

Aunty D was like, "This is Father Daniel's card ... Father Daniel won ..."

21 ... Father Daniel won?

Okay ... :D

Wink Wink ...

The guests loved the place ...

Fine dining on the streets ...

Justine with Amah ...

The guests left about 10:30 pm.

Something awesome was about to happen. We took a few cars there. So Mom drove the Camry, with Uncle C and Megan, and Aunty C.

Reaching the condo, Mom dropped them off. Then she drove down to the basement 4 to park the car.

At the parking bay, she reversed the car in.

Then, she tried to turn off the car engine --- but couldn't.

Puzzled, she tried several times, to pull the car key out. It wouldn't come out.

Some 20 seconds must have passed before she suddenly heard the introduction music to SOMEWHERE OUT THERE that had just come on the radio.

Omg ...

Somewhere Out There?

Quickly, she glanced at the clock on the dashboard.

It was 10:49 pm.

Decode : 21

Gasp ...

Omg ...

Seriously?

Gosh Son ... that was incredible.

Omg ...

Omg ...

Omg ...

Had Mom been able to pull out the car key, she would definitely have missed the song. She stayed in the car and enjoyed the song.

SOMEWHERE OUT THERE was a video your Aunt C did for your family, with photos of our trip to America. You were ten years old then.

When the song ended, she tried to pull the key out again, expecting it to come out as usual -- but it was somehow still stuck. Then, she suddenly saw the gear still in reverse. Pushing it back up to P, she turned the engine off.

My, just wait till Dad hears about this. How do You explain that, that night, she would forget to put the gear back to P?

At home, Mom was filled with awe and excitement as she related what had just happened to her in the car, to Dad.

Dad asked, "Was there reception down there?"

Mom stopped and frowned for a bit.

She suddenly realized that the reception was crystal clear.

The song was crystal clear.

Omg ...

Normally, the radio is all scratchy and fuzzy at that level (basement 4).

Dad will attest to that. Your aunties too.

Oh boy Daniel, that was a pretty amazing zap ...

Thank You, Son ...

We love You so much ... <3

Somewhere out there

Beneath the pale moonlight

Someones thinking of me

And loving me tonight

Somewhere out there

Someones saying a prayer

That we'll find one another

In that big somewhere out there

And even though I know

How very far apart we are

It helps to think we might be wishing

On the same bright star

And when the night wind

Starts to sing a lonesome lullaby

It helps to think we're sleeping

Underneath the same big sky

Somewhere out there

If love can see us through

Then we'll be together

Somewhere out there

Out where dreams come true

*****************************************************************************

SUN June 2 @ 7:59 pm ...

Gosh Daniel, Dad and Mom just came home from buying dinner outside.

Just as we were turning into our condo lane, guess what?

21 GUNS came on the radio.

Mom was quick to glance at the time.

It showed 7:51 pm.

Decode : 4

Her angel number.

ZAP ZAP ZAP ....

Mom was like, "Omg ... he got my call, he's telling me he got my call ... " :D

Got your call, Ma ... :D

Smile ...
