Call 502 : SWEETEST WORD

Hello Son,

It's Saturday today.  :D

Got up early this morning to send Dad to the airport.

Mom was getting ready ... correction, still getting ready, whilst Dad went down to get the car. Excuse her, but let her remind You that we women have the 3 steps, minimum.

The cleanse.

The tone.

The mosturize.

And then of course, we have to cover up and disguise our dinosaur age with um, high tech creams. So of course, we would take a minute or two longer than the men.

Finally, Mom was done.

She hurried to the lift.

The lift took some time to appear.

Tap tap tap ... her foot on the pavement impatiently.

Is that her fault that another minute was wasted there?

Lift doors opened ... she got in ... pressed the G button ...

Ground floor.

Got out.

Run run run ...

Dad was waiting in the car.

Approaching the car, Mom saw Dad kinda looking at her, and pointing to the radio.

Her heart felt -- light and breezy.

A zap song.

Her son is calling from heaven.

Hi Ma ... :D ... she knows he's saying.

Mom couldn't wait to get into the car.

IF I DIE YOUNG ...

the band perry

Aww Son ... how long has it been since she last heard IF I DIE YOUNG?

Dad grinned and said, "It just started ..."

She glanced at the time on the dashboard.

It was 6:44 am as she saw it first, before it turned to 6:45 am.

ZAP ZAP ZAP.

Smile.

Both You. :D

Lord, make me a rainbow

I'll shine down on my mother

She'll know I'm safe with You

as she stands under my colours

We listened to the song in silence.

Silence -- is powerful.

In other words, your parents were experiencing a powerful moment in the car.

Mom's pretty sure Dad was thinking about --- stuffs .. just as she was, as our senses soaked up the song like a sponge.

We arrived at the train / tube station.

After Dad left the car, Mom climbed over to the driver's seat. She somehow found herself changing the station, despite having heard the zap song. You must have whispered to her.

105.7, Ma ...

And so she did ... clicked on that 105.7 station.

Let it be ...

Awww ...

She glanced at the time.

It was 6:54 am.

Decode : Forever 15

Let it be

Let it be

Oh, let it be

Whisper words of wisdom

Let it be

At the point of writing this call, would You believe it but Mom came across this image as she was scrolling about, for the second image just now?

A Let It Be picture.

Gosh, what are the chances?

No chance.

Angel chance.

You were reminding Mom about the LET IT BE song, that greeted her like two minutes after her IF I DIE YOUNG zap.

She knows.

A mother knows when her son is communicating with her.

Oh, by the way, Dad's just sent this photo via mobile.

C21.

Mom sms-ed back, "Wat's dat?"

Dad replied, "Gate ..."

Mom text back, "That luks like the sky ..."

Dad said, "At KLIA ... 8:45 am flight ... waiting to board ..."

Oh ... the passenger waiting room overlooks this C21 -- scenery.

Mom's all smiles.

See 21?

Do you See 21?

Up in the clouds?

She does. Of course she does.

Which mother is not able to spot her child --- anywhere? Not even the impossibly crazy distance between heaven and earth can stand in between the link, the bond, the connection, between a mother and her son.

Impossible?

Ah, let her remind You, that nothing is impossible with God.

By the way, the court ruling came out a day after the Marian Rally (Sunday, Oct 13), and that is, that we are not able to say the word ALLAH anymore.

Pause.

Pause a bit more.

Hahaha.

Hehehe.

Hohoho.

Good one, good one.

Isn't it amazing how Mother Mary intervenes?

Do You C it?

It's so clear that she wants everyone (who believes in Her Son) to learn to just say His name :

JESUS CHRIST

And not to be confused with the more general word Allah.

Yup, the sweetest word in the world is a person's name.

Did You know that?

Our own name.

Everyone loves to hear their name mentioned, did You know that? This was brought to your mother's attention at a network marketing seminar many moons ago. We learned so much at these MLM seminars.

Smile.

Anyway, where was she?

Ah ...

She checked the time the photo was sent.

8:31 am.

Her heart skipped a beat.

Decode : 21

ZAP ZAP ZAP.

Mom sent a text right back.

"U sen at 831. That's 21."

Thumbs up.

C21 ...

Mom suddenly remembered that 21 GUNS came on immediately in the car two days as she was going to school. Dad was at the wheel. The moment your father turned on the ignition, the song 21 GUNS made its entrance and zapped her.

Immediate.

Wait a sec. Let her check her memo.

Yeah, that was on Thursday 24th @ 6:49 am.

Decode : 144

Her angel numbers.

Thank you for always reminding Mom that You're near, Son.

Keep the zaps coming.

Mom will always be able to C21.

No matter how far.

Love You, Son.

Over to You, Daniel. <3

Call 501 : 45th MONTH

Hello Son,

It's your 45th month with Jesus and Mama Mary today, somewhere over the rainbow.

We're thinking about You ... wondering what You're doing, what You're up to.

You know, Mom just got home. It's lunch time.

You sent your mother a ZAP just now. :D

She had hopped into the car, to drive homw.

As she was turning out from our school lane, she did the usual U-turn. At the same time, she turned on the radio and immediately ...

IMMEDIATELY ...

these lyrics came blaring out :

I always feel like ...

Somebody's watching me ...

I always feel like ...

Somebody's watching me ...

Woah ...

Mom's first thoughts.

Your 21st. You would definitely send Mom a zap.

She wondered what your second zap would be. There should be two for her to take her zaps seriously. That's the understanding between a mother on earth and her son in heaven. :D

She was turning into Taman Desa.

No zaps.

All along Jalan Desa Utama --- nope, no zaps.

Approaching the condo, she suddenly heard the word TITANIC 2 mentioned on the radio.

Smile ...

Just on time ...

Titanic ...

Her second sign ...

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

Near far wherever You are ...

I believe that the heart does go on ...

That was a loud, HI MA ... for Mom, Son. :D

You always know how to make your presence felt, Daniel.

Always.

Talk to You in a bit.

Happy 45th month with Jesus and Mary, Son ...

We're thinking about You ... <3

Call 500 : DINOSAUR ZAP

Hello Son,

Saturday, Oct 19

On Saturday, Grandma and Mom spent the whole day together. :D

We left the condo about 10:30 am to go to Subang to meet up with an architect. Long story, not gonna bother with details. Suffice to say that Grandma was supposed to pass some documents to the architect.

Dad had printed out the directions to go to that place in USJ.

Of course, we got lost.

We took all the turns that did not take us to the architect's house.

Anyways, we were talking in the car, Grandma and Mom, so the volume of the radio was way down low. You could hardly hear anything. We were too engrossed with our topic of conversation then.

Yeah, the family's Christmas trip in December.

Finally, at last, in the end ... we found the place.

Grandma and the man was talking.

Papers were brought up.

Fingers were pointing here and there on the documents.

Mom's attention was drawn to a rather large cat that was in a cage beside where we were all sitting. She couldn't resist taking a photo.

Grandma said to the man, "My daughter likes your cat ..."

The guy replied with a proud smile, "That is my daughter's cat ... she lives in a condo ... can't have pets ..."

We were there about 20 minutes or so.

Grandma was soon done with her business.

It was time to leave.

We were in the car, all ready to drive off.

Mom started the ignition, and at the same time, she put up her hand to say "bye."

Suddenly, she found herself opening the car door and calling out to the man, "Excuse me, excuse me, by the way ... what's your cat's name?"

The man replied, and Mom thought he said, "Dee - No ..."

H-huh???

"What's that again? Dee No?" Mom repeated.

The guy confirmed, "Yes, Dee No ... Dee No ..."

Pause.

Oh My Gosh ...

What are the chances?

Dee No ... as in like ... DINO???

We were doing dinosaurs this whole week.

From Monday 14 to Friday 19.

And it so happened that Saturday, the next day, she came across a cat by the name of DINO?

Omg, what are the chances?

You must have whispered to Mom. You must have. it was just weird how your mother had to find out the name. She didn't have to ask the man for the cat's name. We were in the car, ready to drive away. Yet your mother had to open the car door, with the engine running and all, popped her head out to ask, what is the cat's name.

Isn't that weird?

She did not have to ask the man about the cat's name.

But oh, she did.

She did.

Ask the man what the cat's name is, Ma ... :D

We drove away ...

Mom was deep in her own thoughts.

Time stood still in the car for Mom.

What --- was --- that?

You know huh, that we were doing Dinosaurs this week ...

Was that it?

There was just something strange about that DINO inciDAN... that she couldn't put her finger on.

Next, we were supposed to drive to the VIVA center, which office has now shifted to Subang. We were in Subang area then, so it should be close by.

Believe it or not ... we got lost again.

Grandma would say, "Turn right ... turn left ... aiyah wrong already ... turn in ... where are you going? where is this place? etc"

A text beeped in.

Mom glanced at it.

Aunty Jessie sent this photo ...

... and with the message, "Recognize anything?"

That was at 11:31 am.

Decode : 24

We were still lost at the time, and trying to find our way to the VIVA center.

There were plenty of wrong turns, U-turns and bad turns. We didn't know where we were.

Your mother was just driving -- aimlessly -- and cluelessly.

So anyway, Mom saw the photo, and immediately a big smile spread across her face.

Of course, she recognized it instantly.

Two sms-es came in almost immediately.

Dad sent a text @ 11:31 am : Scarf

Aunty C sent a text @ 11:32 am : Scarf

Scarf ... two times.

Hmmm ...

This photo of You in that scarf sprang to mind.

Aunty J has said before that she likes your smile on this photo.

Yes, your handsome smile, Daniel.

We miss it very much. :(

We continued to drive here and there, trying to locate Subang Airport. The Viva Center is near the airport, Dad had said. As we were driving, at one point, Mom heard a faint but familiar tune that was coming from the radio.

She turned up the volume.

The sound was very, very faint. She could have easily missed it but she didn't. You must have whispered to her.

Listen Ma ...

But hold your breath,

because tonight will be the night that I would fall for you

Over again, don't make me change my mind ...

Oh Gosh ...

Mom glanced at the time on the dashboard.

It was 12:04 pm.

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

Mom had to smile. She felt her son's presence immediately.

That was a clear secret code 21 and 24.

You're near, Mom knows. :D

Your mother did not mention anything to Grandma, choosing to enjoy that precious zap moment all by herself.

Fall For You ...

by secondhand serenade

How long has it been since Mom last heard this song?

You sang FALL FOR YOU for Mom, the night before You left us.

Yes, that song, and HOME WITHOUT YOU.

Two songs You sang for Mom that night before Jesus carried You home.

Both songs that (strangely) had one similar line :

I won't live to see another day (Fall For You) ...

I may not make it through the night (Home Without You) ...

Nostalgia ...

A dull ache is beating in her chest, as she writes and recalls.

If only You know how much we miss You, Son.

Do You know how much we miss You?

The word describing the extent of how much we miss You, does not exist.

No, it has not been created -- this word.

We finally reached the Viva Center at about 1 pm.

Nice place that area.

There was a nice selection of buffet dishes for lunch.

Dad counted and said, "17 dishes."

After we were done with our meal, Grandma whispered and said she had to go. She was attending a wedding the next day, and she needed to do her nails. Dad took a photo of us at the entrance of the Viva Center before we left.

Dad posted the photo in our Family Wassap.

At the time of writing this paragraph, Mom checked the time the photo was posted, and gasped when she saw it.

1:24 pm

Again?

Gosh, what are the chances?

You're with Mom, aren't You?

Every little thing reminds her of You.

We arrived at the mall.

We went to the Nail Shop. Since Mom obviously had to wait for Grandma to get her nails and toes painted, Mom thought she might as well also treat herself to a nice foot spa.

Grandma had no appointment.

Mom had no appointment.

It was a Saturday.

The shop girl told us their appointment book was full for the day, and said that she could only do us at 6:30 pm.

It was 3:30 pm then.

Yeah yeah, we got lost again ... we couldn't find the Federal Highway from the Viva Center, and it took us ages and ages (2 hours) to finally get on to the right highway.

So anyway, Grandma left her mobile number with them, and said, that if they could do us earlier, to give her a call.

We left the Nail Shop, and walked to a nearby boutique.

Browsing around, Mom spotted this pink jumper.

FREEGO ...

She had to smile. :D

You're with Mom, she knows.

So anyway ..

Soon we were separated.

At 4:19 pm, Mom received a call.

Grandma called to say the Nail people called to inform that, TWO of their customers for 4 pm appointment, did not turn up.

Pause.

4:19 pm ...

Decode : 444

And 4 pm appointment? Two customers did not turn up?

Smile ...

Did You have anything to do with that, Daniel?

Mom thought of the FREEGO.

Did You ask the two customers to --- go --- away?

Chuckle.

Or was that You telling Mom :

Go for your foot spa, Ma ...

Grin.

So anyway ...

Grandma had her nails done and Mom enjoyed the foot spa.

It was almost an hour later, when we left the Nail Shop.

Grandma walked into a furniture shop to check out their closing down sale.

Mom waited outside the shop ... and was soon staring at the window of the shop next to it.

D ???

Smile ...

You're just everywhere, aren't You, Daniel?

Rediscover past wonders ...

Past wonders, she thought slowly.

Like --- like --- dinosaurs, maybe???

Hahaha ... she laughed to herself.

That evening, at home ...

Mom told Justine about all the inciDANS that happened that day. The moment your mother mentioned DINO, and dinosaur, your sister exclaimed, "We saw a dinosaur bone yesterday ..."

H-huh???

Really???

Justine showed Mom this photo of her seniors making a large spine with polystyrene.

"It was very big ... we call it dinosaur bone ..."

Dinosaur bone?

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

Thank you, Son ... for staying close.

Keep the zaps coming.

We love You and we miss You very much, Daniel ... <3

Be good ...

Call 499 : MARIAN RALLY

Hello Son,

This morning, we left the condo at 7:15 am in the morning.

Grandma, Aunty C, Justine, Dad and Mom.

We were attending the Marian Rally at Kelana Jaya Stadium.

A rally for Mama Mary.

How nice. :D

The rosary session started at 8 am or thereabouts. Believe it or not, but the rosary was chanted in 20 different languages. What did Mother Mary say about that? :D

We were at the first row.

The Marian procession started with the Hail Marys.

Would you take a look and see where Mama Mary's statue stopped at the material time?

Oh boy, She was right in front of Mom.

Here's a bigger picture.

Mom whispered to Aunty C, "Mother Mary is right in front of me ... If I close my eyes and just walk straight, I'll walk straight into Her arms ..."

Yes yes ... even Aunty C who was sitting on your mother's left did not have a 100% straight on face-to-face position with Our Lady.

You must have had something to do with that, Mom thinks.

What a coinciDANS, huh ...

The weather was good, although it threatened to drizzle at first.

The gentle droplets were clear showers of blessings from above, that's for sure, what those were.

Assumption of the Virgin Mary

Mom's um, friend ... was there.

Pakiam.

Grin. There's a long story behind that which Mom has told You before in one of her calls some time ago.

Anyway, the mass only started at 11 am.

So You can imagine how much time we had on our hands.

Mom soon found herself thinking about our Lourdes trip ... the Grotto ... that was like, heaven here on earth, wasn't it? She is planning to visit Lourdes again next year, with Aunty C.

She thought about the baths ...

Yeah, the baths ...

The nine days ...

Your mother remembers everything, as if those events happened only yesterday.

Suddenly, at one point, she felt a jolt in her heart as her thoughts brought her back to a certain moment ... that zapped ... your scribbled note in her pink diary ... Mom somehow found herself remembering specifically that You had written, among others, that going into the bath was like dipping into ice-freezing water ... but You said, each time You went into the bath, You felt better, and that when You came out, You felt happier and that You felt like hugging everybody.

Yes, hugging everybody ...

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

Only yesterday, Mom told You about the FREE HUGS in Call 498.

Free ...

Of all the tee shirts You could have brought to France, You had to bring a pink tee with the words FREE on it. Little did we know then that this FREE tee shirt would be so precious to your family after You left us to live with Jesus and Mama Mary.

You really were giving your mother a hug all the way from heaven, Son.

That thought is certainly confirmed. :D

The stadium was quite packed.

The crowd control was pretty good.

Everything went on very smoothly.

Nobody got stamped or stomped on.

Chuckle.

The above photo shows the crowd on our left, whilst the photo below shows the crowd on our right.

Here are Aunty C, Justine and Dad. :D

Aunty C took this photo ...

Can You see the procession of priests?

So anyway, mass ended at 1 pm.

It was lunch time.

We ended up in a mall in Subang. Mom needed to get some colored papers for our concert use, and so we decided to have lunch there.

We arrived at the mall.

We had lunch.

Then, Grandma and Mom went to the hypermart whilst Justine, Aunty C and Dad went to a cafe to wait.

At the hypermart, Grandma went to household, whilst Mom spent her time at the stationeries and books.

Some 2 hours later ...

Justine sent your mother a text at 4 pm to say, "Let's go back laa ... I have a lot of things to do ..."

Mom was done by then. Dad came to help her with the cart.

We stacked the trolly with our purchases, and walked over to Big Apple cafe, at the far corner.

Grandma was missing.

Nobody could contact her. Her phone was out, we suspected.

Low bat.

Dad went to look for Grandma.

At 4:30 pm, Dad sent Mom a text to say, "missing person found," and that Grandma was at "counter 22."

Ah, okay ...

Justine, Aunty C and Mom went over to counter 22.

Grandma was like, "Hey, the things here are cheaper than Jusco ..."

Yeah, it's okay ...

We were all walking towards the escalator to go down to the ground floor.

Grandma suddenly said, "I forgot to get my FREE gift ..."

Mom asked, "What FREE gift? What did you buy?"

Grandma replied, "Milo ..."

Ah yes, MILO ... Dad bought a tin of MILO a few days ago and it came with a FREE mug.

So, Mom turned the trolly around to go towards the Gift Redemption counter. At the same time, Mom called out to Justine to tell Dad that Grandma and her were going to the Gift counter to claim the FREE gift.

FREE gift ...

FREE gift ...

FREE gift???

The E = mc (squared) started in your mother's head.

Can You blame her?

She's getting some kind of signal coming in from -- somewhere over the rainbow ...

Grandma was soon at the gift counter, whilst Mom waited with the trolly nearby.

A few minutes later, Grandma walked over to Mom, carrying nothing in her hands.

Mom asked, "Where is your FREE gift?"

Your grandmother replied, "There's no more ..."

No more ???

Oh ... while stocks last, apparently.

Pause ...

Mom did not know what to make of that.

It just felt strange, that moment.

Anti-climax.

Just then, right at that moment ...

ANDDDDD ACTION !!!

Dad appeared.

Your father said, "Eh, take out your receipt, we also have a FREE gift ... a bowl ..."

Mom asked, "Are you sure?"

Dad did not mention anything about any FREE gift before that.

Dad replied, "I forgot ... I bought the toothpaste ... it comes with a FREE bowl ... I forgot about it ..."

Mom reached for her receipt and handed it to Dad.

Dad took it and presented it to the counter girl.

He came back to us with a glass bowl and beaming, "I got a salad bowl ..."

Only last night, Mom chided Dad for using the wrong bowl whilst he was preparing his salad.

Mom had specifically said to Dad last night, "Why are you using that? (That being the wrong bowl) That's not for salad. Use the proper bowl la ..."

And then today, the day after Mom chided Dad, he gets a FREE salad bowl? Which, by the way, he almost forgot to collect.

Dad said, with a big grin on his face, "Son gave me my own salad bowl ... Now I can use this bowl for my salad ... Thanks Son ..."

Hmmm ...

Your mother listened quietly.

She definitely smelt a ... pepperoni pizza somewhere.

Dad handed her back the receipt.

Mom glanced at it.

638-25 ...

Pause here ... as her brains started to work at umm, top speed.

Omg ...

Seriously???

24 ???

Mom hurried towards Dad.

"You actually forgot all about your FREE bowl. Isn't it weird that my mom went back for her FREE gift, and it turns out, it was you who got the FREE gift? Son reminded you ..."

Through Grandma ...

You must have whispered to Grandma.

You must have.

If You had not, we would have all walked to the car ... without any thought to Dad's FREE salad bowl. :D

That was surely You, Daniel. :D

24 ...

Why, that's easy ...

Thank You, Son ...

That is clearly your gift to Dad.

Dad will be using his salad bowl tonight. :D
