Who would have thought that seemingly simple and unsuspecting word could lead her to something so startling ...
This reminds Mom of a time of your life when You started to use the 4 letter word starting with F ... It was during a stage when You thought it was cool to say it ... and it wasn't the word Free by the way ...
How your mother would tick You off whenever she hear that word shoot out of your mouth ... especially when You were too over - engrossed and You lose yourself in the video games etc. Even when You tried to play it down, and say, "Ffffffuh..." just to stay out of trouble, You would land straight into trouble.
Don't say it! Don't You say that 4 letter word, Daniel ... Mom would warn. Remember?
Now You have found another F word to replace that. She just has to smile. It's a beautiful day. You're a good boy, son ... :D You really are a good boy ...

We were in the car.
Dad was driving us to the mall.
Just before reaching the mall, Aunty D's cell-phone rang ...
One, twenty-one guns ...
her ring tone ...

Mom's eyes shot to the dashboard.
The time showed 4:24 pm.
She called out excitedly,
"Look at the time. Four twenty-four. We were talking about him. Just before we get out of the car, he gives us a sign ..."
24 being your birthdate, and 4, your mother's angel number.

"Daniel is confirming that those presents are from him la ..."

Mom is speechless, Daniel ... How did You manage to do that? And how would Mom know how to put the pieces together? She's so not known to put clues together and solve any kind of mystery. You really are whispering to her, aren't You?

Meanwhile, Aunty C sent a text that she had finished work and was on her way to meet us.

Dad was at the computer. He turned on the television ...
Mom was in the room then. She heard a line from a song that sent her hurrying out ...

17. Flashback to the day before
Thursday Noon ...
Mom was doing some work on the computer.
Don't Stop Believing was on the television at the time. She wasn't watching the show nor was she paying much attention to the songs and performances until she heard the song ...

which was performed by Supergroup, as she learned later ...
Mom had turned to look.
On hindsight, You must have whispered to Mom to turn to look ...
She found herself being quite intrigued by the choreography. She had sang along, to whatever lyrics she could remember ... only those 2 lines ... if You heard her. She must say she was pretty captivated by the performance, for some reason.
Still, it wasn't a ZAP moment. No, it wasn't ... she just likes the song, and that group of performers were quite entertaining in an awesome way ... Besides, she hasn't heard this song for a long time now ... That's why she had stopped her work, and turned to watch.
Then, OMG ... just when she'd decided this wasn't a ZAP song, one of the guys broke into a second song and sang these lines :

That Thursday night, Mom was trying to tell Dad about the song. Dad had listened but he didn't really quite get it. Probably because Mom was speaking in tongues again ...
So back to Friday, after the mall, Mom came home. Dad turned on the television ... a line came on, and Mom found herself almost running out of the room.
OMG, this exact performance was on!
What are the chances, honestly!
Had she come in a few minutes later or earlier, it would not have been right smack spot on the dot. Is there such a phrase? The timing was immaculate.
Mom was all hyper, "This ... this is the song I was trying to tell You about last night ... I'll keep on loving You ... and the Karate Kid song Glory of Love ... this is the one ... OMG, son's playing it for You... OMG ..."
