Call 243 : BIRTHDAY RAINBOW

Hello Son,

Saturday, June 25

Today is your mother's birthday.

If your angel friends ask ... she doubts if they would, but just in case they do ...  she is still um, 33 years old. Remember that.

Don't ask why or how come.

It's ... it's just the way things are ...

Anyway ...

Today, of all days, your mother would be attending a seminar. You would have heard about that. A full day seminar supposedly from 8 am to 4 pm, according to the letter that she had received from the authorities calling all kindergarten operators to a meeting on Saturday, June 25.

She had received that notice about a week ago, and had openly groaned her frustration. Following that note, she had tried to entice Grandma to go instead. Grandma flatly said no, remarking that Mom should make a point to go and that the meeting would be good for Mom.

How in the world could this meeting be good for her, she had thought in annoyance.

On her birthday last year, You had made your presence felt all day long. OMG, she would never forget that. How would she get her birthday zaps this year when she'd be cooped up in a lecture hall ...

... all day long?

You answered your mother by zapping her on Friday,

a day before the seminar day. :D

Call 242 : Birthday Wish

The timing, once again was impeccable. You must have known that Mom would be stuck in a seminar all day on Saturday, and so You brought forward all her birthday zaps to Friday.

Anyway, because she had received her birthday message from her Son the day before, she must say she was in a pretty good mood when Dad drove her all the way to the seminar place.

She had registered at the front desk. Her number was 105

That's 4 ... :D

Her angel sign.

A smile appeared on your mother's face. That would be You with your morning greeting, reminding her that you're near. She collected the books that were allocated for each participant, and made her way into the lecture theater.

Everything was as normal as could be.

The lecture started.

The lecture ended.

Lunch time came.

Mom checked her handphone and found that there were a few missed calls and some text messages waiting for her. She scrolled down to read them one by one, and began replying immediately.

Then, she came to an sms from Dad.

He had apparently forwarded a text message to her.

Mom began to read it ...

"Hi Bryan,

Early this morn, while out 4 b'fast, I saw a beautiful double rainbow. (Gasp!) I then thought about what date it is today n immediately remembered Lynn's birthday! Pls send my birthday greetings 2 her! Rainbow reminds us of God's covenant. May all the covenant blessings be upon Lynn n u n fmly.

Call 109 : Nobody Nobody

This friend who sent the Double Rainbow message to Dad ...

We met like 10 years ago. Mom has not seen him in years. Yet, when he saw the DOUBLE RAINBOW he immediately thought of her? What are the chances? You must have whispered to Uncle P. Besides, he didn't have to tell her about the rainbow. How many people do You know who sees a rainbow and starts sms-ing to their friends about it?

Her point exactly.

When she least expects it, that's when she gets the most ... :D

What an awesome birthday ZAP !!!

Thanks for that, Son ... <3

That was so incredible ...

Honestly, that text message truly made Mom's day. Everything was just so very good for the rest of the day. She could hardly pay attention, she found her thoughts fleeting from one point to another ... but did she care?

Nah ...

Not at all ...

Her Son had sent her TWO rainbows from Heaven ...

There was no way she'd be concentrating on lectures after that.

Anyway, it turned out that she could leave after lunch because the lecture from 2 pm to 4 pm was on Pendidikan Islam.

Oh boy, Mom couldn't wait to hear what Dad had to say about the Double Rainbow ... :D

Here are some photos taken in the evening at home.

Justine is posing with your BB Gun ...

She attended her Interact Function this afternoon and had a nice time meeting up with her Juniors.

Grandma, even after telling her not to do anything, went ahead and prepared Singapore Laksa ... and a big pot of green bean dessert soup. Oh, she also brought 2 mangoes. There were only 5 of us. We could have fed 50 people. :D Wish You were with us, Son ...

Dad really nailed this petai recipe ...

Sunday, June 26

On the way to church this morning, Mom asked Dad,

"What time did P sent the rainbow sms?"

Dad pulled out his handphone and appeared to be scrolling over the messages.

He gave a laugh and said, "Are You sitting down?"

Your mother was all kan cheong, "Why? What time?"

Dad handed the handphone to her.

Mom grabbed it and checked the time.

She saw the time ... and inhaled deeply ...

It showed 11:44 am ...

Oh My ...

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

Mom said,

"OMG, yesterday I wrote the number 144 three times in

Son's blog..."

Call 242 : Birthday Wish

Mom hears You ...

Even the time is perfect ...

She couldn't ask for more ...
