Call 20 : LITTLE MOTH

Hello Son,

It's Saturday Oct 16.

Gonna write out this call-entry that Mom couldn't finish last Saturday Oct 9, and have not been able to continue during the week because so much has happened in the short time of one week.

No, not complaining ... Are You kiddin' me? Extremely grateful. <3

So on Friday Oct 8, Grandma and Aunty Carol came over for dinner. You remember, Dad was cooking CRABS. Dinner was absolutely delicious. Wish You were with us, Son. Miss all your hmmm-mmm-ing during meal times. Honestly. Dad too. It's just not the same anymore. :( We can still hear your hmmm noises in our heads though.

Kish was here too that night. Aunty C said she had brought her for the SPECIAL BLESSINGS for PETS on Monday Oct 11. Said there were many dogs, even snakes.

EEEEE-YEWWWW!!!

Two teenage girls were seen carrying their pet snakes around the shoulders, says Aunty C. So so - sleazy. :S

Then, Aunty C said there were this cat and dog couple, came from the same family, and she was watching them. The dog and the cat were on the ground, both apparently facing each other at a close distance, like nose to nose - almost. She said, the dog was just resting his head on his paw, and observing the cat. We're not sure if the cat is female or not, but judging from what the cat was doing, licking its paws oh-so-very-seductively, and just sitting there, all princess-sy and haughtily, like an egyptian goddess on a pedestal expecting to be worshipped, we feel she's very much female.

What do You think?

Awww, how cute it this ...

Ahh, this Mom really has to tell You ...

During dinner, there was a lil baby MOTH (about one inch in size) that visited and had perched on the floor, about a foot away from where Mom and Aunty C were sitting. Aunty C saw it first. It was such a good lil moth, it didn't like disturb us, or try to fly to the table to bless our dinner or anything like that. Just minding its own business, but making sure we know it's there. Mom knows. It was just RIGHT there, a step away from her. Had the MOTH been a large size, Dad would have shooed it away, for obvious reasons.

Couldn't find a picture of a nice looking moth, so this will have to do. We continued eating, and the MOTH was just RIGHT there. Not disturbing, not interfering. In no way was it a nuisance.

Then, after dinner, Mom was washing up. Grandma, Aunty C, Justine and Kish were at the TV area. Dad had gone downstairs to throw the garbage. Mom was ALONE in the kitchen. She was clearing the dishes and cleaning the sink when suddenly, something brush against her hair and landed with a soft THUD on the door beside her. She turned to look.

It was the MOTH. It had crash landed and now perched on the door (to the laundry area). It was nearby Mom, who was at the sink at the time. Had she reached her hand out, and stretched just a bit, she would have been able to touch the MOTH.

The picture that she posted on Call 15 (Special Blessings) sprang to mind, with the lyrics Mom had written (MJ's song) :

You are not alone, I am here with You

That was pretty special, Son. Mom's ALONE song, and not so ALONE time. :D Did You send the MOTH over to say Hi? Felt a connection there.

THE BOND.

Mom finished up the dishes with a smile on her face, while the MOTH just quietly stayed by her side. You know how eeky Mom gets with any kind of insects, especially if they crawled or moved about. She would have fled out of the kitchen, faster than a runaway train, and speedier than a speeding bullet, had the MOTH threatened to jig about.

It didn't. It was just a very good MOTH. She was surprised too when she didn't yell and experienced a spasm when she discovered that it was the MOTH that had brushed against her hair a minute ago. It was all very peaceful. Too good to be true.

That night, Mom told Dad about the MOTH. Reminded Dad, "You remember the image I posted on Call 15? There was a lil butterfly following the sad girl who is all ALONE? And the : YOU ARE NOT ALONE lyrics by MJ?"

Dad said, "Yeah ..."

Mom said, "Well, tonight, I felt like I was acting out the picture. Except that a MOTH stayed by my side. In the picture, it was a butterfly."

Dad said, "It was night time. Butterflies sleep at night. So he has to send You a MOTH."

That made Mom smile. You sent the next best thing. A tiny baby MOTH. A small one - So it's not scary or uhh, life-threatening.

Sometimes, it's good to be dramatic ...

Anyway, this is the song that Mom found after dinner that night.

THERE YOU ARE

from the movie

JUST LIKE HEAVEN

Talk to You in a bit, Son. Justine says HI, she's eating her nasi lemak at the moment. Second packet. :D

Call 19 : BEST FRIENDS

Hello Son,

Just posted Poem 2 on the Poem Blog. Was trying to find a picture of a boy-angel but You know what, there are hardly any images of boy-angels. Felt like taking one of your photos and add angel wings to it, but didn't know how to do that.

So the little girl-angel basking in the radiance of God, and sitting in a beautiful place that looks like God's garden will have to do. It's perfect for the poem blog, don't You think? So tranquil and very pretty to look at. (Click on PRETTY PINK POETRY icon on the left of the Blog for easy access).

Today is Friday. :D

Our favourite day of the week because the weekend's here. Yeah, it's POEM DAY too. It's funny that this morning, Mom should come across this photo (below) as she was searching for a nice angel image which instantly reminds her of Aunty Jee. Aunty J had emailed several painting images when Mom was attempting to find pictures for your Fall For You video last month.

One of the images she sent stood out among the rest, she called it Justine and Dans, an image of two little BEST FRIENDS, exactly like this photo here, but in painting form. Was somehow drawn to that one, and picked that, as one of the images for your video that appeared to the lyrics : "Could it be that we have been this way before?" For our purpose, this line seems to be referring to a familiar connection.
This photo of the two children sure looks like Justine and You at the beach once upon a time. The two of You will always be together, somehow, the connection remains and cannot be broken. You'll always be watching out for her, we know. And Jus knows that too. She said so to Mom a few days ago. Which reminds Mom of yesterday's incident.

Before Jus left for school yesterday morning, she was at the door wearing her shoes, when she called out to Mom to get her Dad's watch. She's been using Dad's watch for her exam purposes the past few days. Mom hurried to look for the watch, in her room, on her table, here there everywhere, but there was no sign of it anywhere. Jus was getting impatient waiting at the door and was like, "Hurry up, I have to go, I'm late already..."

Yeah, yeah, I'm lookin', I'm looking', Mom assured her, as she checked under the sofas.

Justine kinda burst into the house after that (with her shoes on - how many times does Mom have to tell her not to ... okay, just this once then) and started searching high and low, from one place to another. Highly agitated. Papers were flying as she rummaged through her table. In our family, when we can't find what we're looking for, who do we call???

YUP!!! Who else ...

So, Mom called out to You and St Christopher (in her mind) and then she took a step back, to stay out of Justine's way, and more importantly, to watch and see what would happen next.  0.0

Lo and behold ...

Almost immediately, Jus stopped in her tracks. For a brief 5 seconds or so, she was standing still like she was trying to recall (Mom thinks You were whispering to her then), and then she turned abruptly to give Mom a knowing smile and a happy nod. She patted the front pouch of her school bag with a look of extreme relief.

"It's here, it's here," she said cheerily, before she turned around and fled out of the door. :D

Woah ... That was pretty awesome to watch. Yes, Yes, You are watching over her alright. :D

(10am ... continue later)

Went to school this morning. Was in the car and the first song that came on Mom's station was FINALLY. 11:50am. Yup, that same song, FINALLY. FINALLY ... It came on again, like some kind of confirmation. A reassurance. A guarantee, perhaps?

Whatever it is, it's a powerful song of HOPE for the future. :D Thanks for the repeat, Son. Mom certainly appreciates the reminder. It's certainly comforting to know that now, FINALLY, her destiny can begin. Whatever destiny that is ...

Oh by the way, just came across something quite interesting. Did You know that the video FOR THOSE TEARS I DIED (the song that Mom sang to YOU at your farewell, after You left us) appears on the same page as your YouTube video FALL FOR YOU (the song that YOU sang to Mom the night before You left us)?

What a coinci-DANS ... One song, Mom sang to You, and the other song, You sang to Mom and BOTH our songs appear together on the same page in YouTube. That's kinda special, isn't it?

What are the chances of our songs to appear together on the same page in YouTube? Oh, wait a minute, is this like a random thing where the list of videos will change from time to time and it's just a coinci-DANS? Oh well, when Mom checked it just now, both our song videos were on the same page.

THE BOND. <3

That's all she can say.
Called Dad to ask him to click on your FALL FOR YOU video on the left side of this blog and see if it brings him to that same page too. Dad sms-ed back a few minutes later and said, "Yes, BOTH videos are on the same page!" :D

Aww, that is just so special, Son. How could our songs appear on the same page??? The videos are different - one is religious and the other is pop, different singers, different titles, different category of music. Wow ... Incredible.  <3

It's 6:12pm now.

Aunty Carol just called 2 minutes ago, and said that Grandma bought some crabs and could Dad cook them tonight?

OMG ... CRABS??? Called Dad again and asked him, "What did I say about CRABS last night?" (Mom wanted to make sure her exact words)

Dad replied, "You said, let's cook CRABS. Why? What happened?"

Mom told Dad, "Carol just called and said my mother bought CRABS. She wants You to cook for dinner tonight."

Heard Dad laughing on the line, "Your Son really knows what You want ..."

Grin. Ask and it shall be given. Isn't that the message You reminded her of just 2 days ago? :D While we're on this, think You could get us some tickets to Adam Lambert's concert? :D

Oh boy Daniel ... Just google-searched for a crab image under the key words : "GLITTER GRAPHIC CARTOON CRAB" and guess what??? 2 images of SEBASTIAN the CRAB popped up on the FIRST TOP row.
Boy O Boy ... You and Sebastian ...

Mom is totally Speechless ... there are no words to describe this moment ...
Just Wowww ... <3 You must tell God that Mom said Thank You for the very clear call connection today. :D Don't forget. Do that please, immediately kay ... :D

Love You Son. Talk to You tomorrow.

Call 18 : THE BIBLE

Hello Son,

Last night about 11pm, Mom was walking to the kitchen to get a drink of water. Our family's BIBLE, that has been on the same spot on the fountain display cabinet the past several weeks, somehow,  called out to Mom. Oh-so-silently. The last time she had a hunch to get the BIBLE to read, she received the GUARANTEE message. Some 2 months back. Remember???

It was late, Justine was studying, Dad was listening to a self-development tape. It just didn't feel like THE BIBLE moment, You know. Mom seee-riously didn't think she could get them all excited ... by her about-to-be-made-announcement :

Can we read the BIBLE tonight?

So Mom walked past the cabinet. A few steps later, she felt guilty - like a criminal - and turned back to the display table. The BIBLE was sitting there, beckoning her to pick it up. Her hands laid on it, but she did not pick it up. The thought of having to call Dad and Jus to come to the table when they were both quite absorbed in what they were doing, made her shrug and think: We'll do it tomorrow. With that, she walked away.

You couldn't put that to rest, could You, Son?

Because Mom only walked a few steps away and felt AWFULLY bad. Did she not just read an email this evening about spending some time with The Lord in good times and in bad? Could she not remember sighing loudly at the part where a question was posed why we only think about God during sickness and at funerals? Her conscience was pricking her and she found herself turning back to the display table. For the third time.

This time, she picked up the BIBLE and casually made an announcement. To Dad. To Justine. To God. To You. To herself. To anyone else who cared to hear. She said to her imaginary audience, I'm going to read today's BIBLE passage.

No response from anybody. Never mind. She's sure God would have clapped and You, You would have flashed your famous SpongeBob grin. :D
Mom checked the diary for daily scripture reading, wondering what could the message be or if there were any message at all for her. Strange that she was experiencing an over-powering instinct, that familiar gut feeling, that she HAS to read today's message. Anyway, there were 3 readings from the books of : Galatians, Psalms and Luke.

She began to read the first two passages. Didn't quite see a connection to a possible message. No spark. No light bulb. No EUREKA! She didn't stop there though. This time, she remembered to read ALL the given passages. If You remember, the GUARANTEE message was in the LAST passage at that time a similar READ-THE-BIBLE hunch struck her some 2 months back.

Good thing she did because, it was the third reading that made her sit right up.
O - M - G ...

were the only words she could mutter under her breath at that moment.

Luke 11:1-4, 9-10

A disciple asked Jesus to teach them how to pray. That kinda struck a cord. Jesus taught them the Our Father Prayer.

So okay, she's getting a vague signal here. When she finds it difficult to talk to God, at least say the Our Father.

She read on and stopped short after reading Verses 9 and 10, blurted out in disbelief, to Dad : Listen to this.

"And so I say to You : Ask, and You will receive; Seek, and You will find; Knock, and the door will be opened unto You. For those who ask, will receive, and those who seek will find, and the door will be opened to anyone who knocks."

KNOCK??? Dancing EUREKA lights overwhelmed her.

Gee, haven't we been Knock Knock Knocking on Heaven's Door the whole day today (Wed)? (See Call 17)

Felt that instant BOND there, Son. <3

Woah, imagine that. There must be like a million words in the BIBLE. Yet, somehow she was lead to read this KNOCK KNOCK passage on the same morning she hears the song Knocking on Heaven's Door and the same evening that she writes a KNOCK KNOCK entry on your Call-BLOG? What a profound realization that was for her. You truly are guiding her from one thing to the next, aren't You?

This is a really beautiful reminder from God. Ask and it shall be given. Seek and You shall find. Knock and the door shall be opened unto You. Yes, she's gonna be asking, she's gonna be seeking, and she's gonna be knocking. Tell God that, will You please, Son?

Thanks for the reminder, Daniel. Timely as usual. Here's one of Mom's dinosaur songs that we sang as the closing hymn at your farewell : There's A New World Somewhere.

No, not gonna upload Guns N Roses. Don't really understand the lyrics to that song except for the one and only one line that makes sense : Knocking on Heaven's Door.

Knock Knock ...  <3

Call 17 : KNOCK KNOCK

Hello Son,

It's a beautiful day today. Mom and Aunty Hayley are having brunch with a friend today in Petaling Street. She helps to manage a family toy shop business there. Need to go to Petaling Street anyway, to look for hand-bells for our Jingle Bell Rock performance. Most of the bells on the existing hand-bells have fallen off and need to be replaced.
On Tuesday yesterday, left the house at 11:30am to go to school. Reaching the school area, saw some policemen writing out summons for cars parked along the side of the road in front of the school. Good thing Mom saw that, because she normally parks right THERE (where the vehicles were receiving summons then) when she is in school. Had she gone to school earlier today, she would have parked exactly THERE, and probably get a ticket too. She was on call with You yesterday morning, and so only arrived later.
You saved her from getting a ticket, Son. :D

So no choice but to drive into the proper paying car-park that is directly opposite the school. Will have to pay RM1 for parking. Either that, or a RM100 ticket. Don't under-estimate the 2 zeroes. Arghhh, so will have to turn into the parking row, the last time Mom parked there, she had to drive ALL - THE - WAY to the end of the row, one car space before the exit, before she found an available space, and then she had to walk ALL - THE - WAY back to the school. Almost a hundred meters. One way.

She must say she was pleasantly, pleasantly surprised, when at the automatic ticketing machine, right after the parking barrier lifted, the car on the very FIRST space, reversed and drove out. Kinda felt like he had to do that for Mom. That's the NEAREST paying-parking spot to the school. :D

Felt THE BOND instantly.

You must have remembered Mom's complaints the last time huh. Thanks for that, Son. Was smiling to herself as she parked the car, and the parking attendant thought she was smiling at him, and he smiled back. Seeing that, Mom gave a curt nod and returned a crisp smile. He continued to smile.

Oh okay, enough already.

Yeah, quite a bit of smiling going on at that split of a second moment. :D :D :D

All the :D ... You make us smile, Son. :D

Turns out, we had a really good practice. Teacher L reminded Mom about the hand-bells. When will You be getting them, she asked. Told her tomorrow (Wed). Grandma has mentioned that she has not seen these hand-bells selling anywhere for a long time now, so Mom wasn't really sure where to get them. She was just gonna check at Petaling Street since we were gonna be there to meet a friend on Wednesday today.

Left school before 1pm.

As You know, it takes less than 5 minutes to drive home. Turned on the radio, and wondered what song-message Mom would get today. First song that came on her station : JUST ONCE ...

"I did my best, but I guess my best wasn't good enough
Cause here we are back where we were before..."

Mom shook her head and thought, Nahhh, this can't be it. We're not back anywhere near where we were before. Plus, she doesn't want to think that her best wasn't good enough. Why, that would mean an awful lot of regret regret and more regrets kinda song. Nah, that's not the message from You today.

She was about to reach the condo. Oh, will You hurry up already? Turning into the lane leading to the condo, at the corner of the school, JUST ONCE came to an end. Right after, the DJ played a quick combination like a preview of 3 songs that went :-

We'll always be together
Together in Electric Dreams

If You love me, let me know
If You don't, then let me go

My heart will go on and on <3

All in one breath. Only those lines. My, that was a pretty fantastic message for the day. :D Mom was quite overwhelmed by the sudden pouring of song-messages, she had to stop by the side of the road, just outside the condo, to jot them all down, in case she forgets. Thanks for that, Son. Your timing, as always, is immaculate. :D

It's 9:37am now ... Gotta go. Aunty Hayley is picking Mom up at 9:45am. Talk to You later kay.

Got back by 12 noon. You know what? Aunty H picked Mom up punctually. In the car, Knockin' On Heaven's Door was playing on the radio. Asked Aunty H, Can You hear the song? Knock knock knocking on Heaven's Door (Guns N Roses) ... Station 100.1.

Aunty H said, she was trying to change the station, from one to another, and somehow came back to this one. Haha ... Maybe we were meant to hear that Knockin' Song. :D
Anyway, we reached Petaling Street in like 15 minutes or so. Parked the car in an open space car park. Took out the hand-bell (yeah, Mom brought one along for easy communication with the shop people) and showed Aunty H. Asked Aunty H to help Mom look for that today. Aunty H said confidently, YF will have it. YF is the friend we're meeting.

As we were walking to YF's shop, we came across a large toy shop that occupied 2 shop lots. Thought would try to check and see if they have the hand-bells. Aunty H was like, "No need to go in there. YF will have those. Let's go see her first."

Mom had already stepped into the shop. So went to the counter to ask. Brought out her hand-bell and asked the counter boy, Do You sell this? He said No. Hmm, the largest toy shop in Petaling Street does not have hand-bells. Please take note.

Coming out of the shop, Aunty H once again said, "I told You, no need to go in there. Don't waste your time. YF will have that."

How would Aunty H know that YF will have that? It's not like Aunty H is familiar with the toys she sold in her shop. Also, her toy shop is run on a smaller scale compared to the one Mom just went in. Besides, in the first place, what makes us think that we can find hand-bells in a TOY shop? Shouldn't we like try a MUSIC shop or something? Oh well ... we walked on.

Came to YF's shop. After the initial excited burst of : Hi-How Are You-How's life-How's Business-Wah, You slim down-No, I've put on weight-No, You've lost weight-No, I'm fat already-What shall we eat today? etc, Aunty H told YF, "Lynn is looking for handbells."

Ar-hem excuse me but (clearing of throat) ... Would You like to know what happened next?

YF bent over to reach for a box that was on the floor and pulled out a plastic bag filled with coloured hand-bells! Oh my! Was so excited to see that. If Aunty H didn't ask, we wouldn't have found that ourselves because they weren't on the display shelf, they were in a box on the floor. Couldn't believe we found them so easily. Was thinking we had toCOMB ALL THE SHOPS in Petaling Street. Thank God we didn't have to.

Aunty H said, "You see? What did I tell You? Told You to come straight here, didn't I???"

Yes, Ma'am ... (head bowed low and all)

Woah Aunty, all that Knock Knock Knockin on Heaven's Door must have led You there. :D

Bought 2 packets of a dozen handbells each. YF came a-strolling with us. Had a quick brunch at Nam Heong Chicken Rice Shop. Stopped by the famous Tau Foo Fah stall before we came back.

While having my tau foo fah with black sugar, Mom whispered to YF, "My friend told me not to eat tau foo fah anymore because these people put plastic inside. True ah?"

YF gave me a look of complete surprise, and said, "No la, in China maybe they add plastic, but here, no la." Okay, that's a relief then.

SINGING MY HEART WILL GO ON

Okay Son, talk to You tomorrow.

Miss your handsome face. <3

Call 16 : THE SECRET

Hello Son,

About to go to school in a bit. Teacher L called yesterday and said we're gonna have our dance practice today. Wanted to make this call first before going.

You know, forgot to tell You this, but after Sunday Mass, whilst Dad and Mom were on the way home, Mom asked Dad if he received any "message" during the mass that he could connect with. The week before, if You remember, Mom and Justine were at Mass, and both of us got our "signs" that made us feel connected to this church that we have not been for more than 8 years or so.

Dad said, "Didn't You hear what the Priest say? That's why I nudged You ..."

Yes, Dad did nudge Mom at some point during the Homily, but she didn't know why. She had turned to look at him, and he had given her THE look, like she was supposed to "get it." But she didn't.

"Why, what did the Priest say?" Mom asked at last.

Dad replied impatiently, "Didn't You hear? He mentioned about funerals and losing a child and shaken faith ..."

Mom interrupted, "What??? He actually said those words? Funeral, and losing a child, and shaken faith??? Those words came out from his mouth???"

Dad said, YESSS. You were not listening, is it?"

Why does Dad feel the need to repeat that over and over again? So irritating. No, actually, Mom didn't hear the "funeral" and "losing a child" bit, but she did catch the word "shaken faith." How is it that Mom and Dad sat through the same Homily and she did not hear the first two words at all???

She did hear one line though, something like, "It doesn't matter how old the child is, when the child goes before the parents, it's always devastating."

Okay, THAT, she heard. After the devastating word, she must have slipped into a world of her own and everything else just became a blur. She could be a good actress, your mother, how she sat there just looking attentively at the altar, like she was absorbing everything the Father was saying, when in actual fact, her mind had transported her to somewhere else ...

Only GOD knows where. And probably You too now. She won't be able to hide anything from You now. No more secrets. You will know every deep dark (or bright) secret that she has buried in her heart. Which brings Mom to Merlin and Clark Kent ...

You will remember that Mom used to follow these 2 TV shows : Merlin and Smallville. Sometimes, she still hears You calling out as You did on several occasions, "Marmmm, your Merlin is on ..." or "Smallville started already ..."

Or when the preview comes on, You'd remind Mom, "Your Merlin is on at 11 o'clock tonight - Hallmark channel" or "I'm sorry to tell You this Mom, but Smallville tonight - last episode..."

At one time, You were lying on the sofa, and Mom was sitting by the carpet, and we were watching Merlin. Then Mom commented, Merlin reminds me of You.

To which, You gave a surprised jerk and turned abruptly to Mom and wailed, "What? Merlin reminds YOU of ME??? He's so ugly ..." and You kinda dramatise the moment by burying your head under the pillow and ranted on and on, oh-so-loudly about how could Mom say Merlin reminds her of You.

Sorry Son, if You find Mom smiling here, but You were really quite funny. Grin.

Mom had to explain to You, "It's not the LOOKS that reminds her of You, it's the CHARACTER." No, not the looks. That didn't help. You looked up from the pillow, screwed your face up and howled, "The character? But he's so WEIRD. THAT reminds YOU of ME??? The WEIRD character???"

More Grins. Oh, stoppit ... and behave yourself. :D

Mom never told You this before but Merlin and Clark remind her of You because they both have a SECRET. Yeah, a SECRET. A SECRET that nobody must know or ever find out. It can be lonely when You have a SECRET.

Well Daniel, when you were on earth, You had a SECRET of your own to keep. That was what those two characters reminded Mom most of about You. The Secret. It was never about the character.

So now You know ... :D

Gotta go. Talk to You in a bit.

Love You, Son. <3

Call 15 : PET BLESSINGS

Hello Son,

Dropped Dad at the PJ office at noon just now. He's going up north with the staffs. On the way, was sitting in the car quietly waiting for a song message, but nothing seemed to appear.

After dropping Dad off, Mom said aloud, "Okay Son, Mom's ALONE now. Give me a message."

Turn Around by Bonnie Tyler was on then. After that song, Michael Jackson's YOU ARE NOT ALONE came on. :D

She had to smile when she heard the song.
Another day has gone, I'm still all ALONE
How could this be, You're not here with me
You never said goodbye, Someone tell me why
Did You have to go and leave my world so cold?

Every day I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says

You are NOT ALONE, for I am here with You
Though you're far away, I am here to stay
You are NOT ALONE, for I am here with You
Though we're far apart, You're always in my heart
You are NOT ALONE

That was a pretty special moment, Daniel. The time on the dash board was 12:20pm. Mom's station. Mom's message. :D

Was going to upload this song on the Call-BLOG, but it seems the video is not available for viewing for copyright reasons. Something or rather to that effect. Oh well ...

Anyway, Sunday morning : Mom was fetching Justine to her morning class at 9am. Whilst driving back, was reflecting on the events that happened the day before, in particular, the HELLO message and the SEBASTIAN DVD.

Would You believe it when at 9:12am, ALWAYS ON MY MIND filled the interspace of the car. How appropriate to describe Mom's thoughts right at that moment. ALWAYS ON MY MIND.

Felt THE BOND right there. :D

Yes Son, You're always on our minds ... <3<3<3

Sunday Noon : Dad called Aunty Hayley and invited her to dinner. Mama was still around and we still had some soup left from our dinner on Saturday night. She said okay.

Sunday 3pm : Noticed 2 text messages from Aunty Jessie.

1st sms : I'm certain dans visited me today. Was in my car and all of a sudden smelt strong seb(astian) odor. On the day seb left with dans, i smelt floral scent. Didn't think about it until today's incident.

Mom's pretty sure You were there on the day Seb left.

2nd sms : ... Asked snowbear if she's seen seb, she gave me her paw. Asked again and she gave me her paw again. :)

Aww ... this picture from the internet says it all :D

Sunday evening : Dad and Mom went to SFX for mass. We were early. There was an announcement on the wall. Mom couldn't believe her eyes when she read the sign on the overhead slide.

It read : Special Blessings for PETS on monday 7:30pm.

What? Special Blessings for PETS??? Why, Aunty Jessie would be so happy to hear that. Imagine, only last night (sat night), we were yelling out SEBASTIAN'S name, this afternoon, received sms about SEBASTIAN, and now, getting info that there will be a Special Blessing for PETS? Yes, Mom read and heard right. Calling all PETS, Sebastian in particular, there will be a Special Blessing for you guys on monday. :D

Sebastian must have asked for the Special Blessings, huh Son?
Aunty C may bring Kish for the ceremony later if she has time. :D

Call 14 : HELLO SEBASTIAN

Hello Son,

That's the tee shirt Mom was telling You about. The HELLO tee. Isn't it strange that we kept this tee of Justine's from primary school? To Love Somebody is now blasting on Mom's headphones.

You don't know what it's like, baby
You don't know what it's like
To love somebody
To love somebody
The way we love You <3

Here's Mama with her birthday cake on Saturday night. An awesome cinnamon-chocolate cake by Justine. :D Mama's just turned 77 years old. We only put on 7 candles. She didn't mind. We think we may have scattered just about 77 rainbow star sprinklers on the cake. :D There's You watching her. :D
Mama is tickled after successfully blowing ALL her candles in ONE pHooooHoOoOo-oOooh breath. Dad announces at the table before the Birthday Song that Mama's birthday is actually on Sept 29 and that she's 74 years old. Mama corrects Dad, and says, Sept 27 and she's 77, not 74. Aiyohhh Dad ... Yeah Son, Mom's sentiments exactly.

We are enjoying our birthday dinner. :D
Wish You are with us tonight, Son.
We all miss your enthusiastic HmmMmm-mMm.

Here's Justine's delightful cake. She's adding a new ingredient for this cake - cinnamon. Nice. We are sprinkling STARS today because STARS remind us of You ... since You're among them ...
Jus says, The ORANGE STARS are for You. <3

After dinner on Saturday night, Aunty Carol and Justine put on a FRIENDS DVD. Kish is with them. Amah and Mama seem to be in deep conversation about Najib, Anuar and the Maid. In that order.

After a while, Kish waddles over to the grandmothers and choose to sit by their feet, her head tilting up watching them. Mom thinks she wants to voice her opinion about the maid too. The maid after all takes care of her, or attempts to take care of her, when Aunty C has to work late some nights.

We are not sure about this but we think the maid may have stepped on Kish at one point in time when Aunty C thought Kish was having arthritis and joint pains, and was clearly limping. Aunty C says Kish cannot put on weight because her legs are now weaker and cannot support her body if too heavy.

So Aunty C tells Kish that starting tomorrow (Sunday), Kish will have to go on a diet. And exercise more. Maybe eat more fish. Fish? No wonder sometimes, she behaves like a cat. Manja and all.

On top of that, Jus had squealed at how round Kish's body is when Kish first stepped into the house this evening. That didn't help her self-esteem at all.

THAT's when Kish decides to leave Aunty C and Jus with their weight talk, and make her way to the grandmothers. Obviously, she wants to have a more intellectual conversation. :D
Ahh, this I have to tell You, Son ...

A pretty amazing thing happened toward end of Saturday night.

As Mom said earlier, Justine had put on a FRIENDS (DVD). Randomly selected Disc 3 from Season 6. There are 5 episodes in each disc. You remember, right, we always enjoy FRIENDS. Anyway, Aunty C and Jus watched episode 1 (Where Chandler Can't Cry) by themselves. When episode 2 (The One That Could Have Been) was on, we were having cakes.

Resumed watching FRIENDS. Episode 3 (Unagi) started and Amah was like, Shall we go back (to Aunty C)? Aunty C pretended she didn't hear. Mom heard.

Episode 4 (Where Ross Dates A Student) came on.

Amah said again, Carol, tomorrow you're working, it's late ...

Aunty C said, Wait wait, wait, after this ...

It's now 11pm ... Episode 5 (Joey's Fridge) started. Dad and Mom have put away the dishes and we joined everyone at the TV area. This episode, in case You've forgotten, is about Rachel needing a date for a charity event. Monica and Phoebe compete to find her the best escort.

In the middle of the show, Amah was really getting restless, and going, It's late already, Carol. We should get going.

Aunty C persisted and insisted, This is the LAST one, LAST one, LAST one. No more after this.

So we were all watching. Even Mama, even though she doesn't really understand English. And then, just before the the show ended, Chandler said a line that made us all yell out.

He said, "What kind of guy has a name like SEBASTIAN? Isn't that like a CAT's name or something???"

We all caught the name, and instinctively reacted, yelling out, SEBASTIAN, in unison.

Mom : Heard that? OMG, SEBASTIAN.
Amah (laughing away) : Eh SEBASTIAN.
Aunty C: SEBASTIAN? Aww, SEBASTIAN.
Justine (shrieks) : SEBASTIAN hahahahaha
Dad (amused) : SEBASTIAN ... Aunty Jessie's cat.
Mama (blur) : Ping-kor (who is) SEBASTIAN?

By end of the night, just before we ended the night, all of us had called out Sebastian's name. Even Mama, who didn't know that Sebastian is now with You. He went on Thursday (Sept 30).

No one had mentioned about SEBASTIAN the whole evening. And all of a sudden, everyone blurted out his name. That was pretty astounding. Immediately the image of You carrying Seb appeared in Mom's mind. Mom thinks You want us all to give Seb a thought and to let us know that he is with You. The HELLO tee in the morning and the DVD at night. We felt your presence, Son. That was quite a SEBASTIAN moment.

Had Aunty C agree to leave early, we would have all missed that. Someone must have whispered to Aunty C to stay on and finish all the episodes. It was kinda crazy if You think about it, watching all the episodes that night of Disc 3. Also, someone must have whispered to Jus which disc to put on. :D

Oh, You and your favourite cat in the whole wide world ... :D

You both leave us speechless ...

Call 13 : NO BOUNDARIES

Hello Son,

Left the house with Dad early in the morning. Was in the car. Song on the radio was coming to an end. Justine's station. Time on the dashboard showed 7:33am. The lyrics that came on were :

There are no boundaries
There are no boundaries ...
Turned to Dad and said, Heard that? First message of the day - No Boundaries. :D We can contact Heaven and communicate with Angels. No boundaries. :D That last line of the song put a smile on our faces, Son. Thank You for that.

We went to the market this morning. Today is a special day. Mama (Dad's Mom) is coming to KL for her MCA meeting tomorrow. She's gonna be having dinner with us this evening. Her birthday was on Sept 27th, so Justine is going to bake her a cake later. Since Mama likes noodles, we are going to prepare kueh teow thng (rice noodle soup) for dinner. We've done it before, during one of our cooking session : Ipoh Hor Fun and it turned out pretty darn great. :D

And very easy to do. Can't be messing up today. This is simple to do : Just boil chicken, buy noodles, fry onions. Anyone can do it. Wish You were with us, Son. The last time Mama was here, was on your birthday on Christmas Eve in December. Your last birthday with us. Coming December will be your first birthday with Jesus. How cool is that? Amah and Aunty C will be here too. Kish as well, probably. The last time Mum saw her, 2 weeks ago, Kish was like a lil barrel. A little fattie. We don't say that to her face becos, if You remember, she's very sensitive. She's the only dog Mum knows who has - feelings. She doesn't like to be teased about her weight.

Reached the market at about 7:45am. Not surprising there was a crowd of vehicles around the market area, this morning, vehicles were DOUBLE parked from one end to the next. Dad stopped by somewhere in the middle of the row of double parked vehicles, and said, drive further down and see if there's parking, can't wait here, triple parking already. Mom climbed over to the driver's seat, and wondered what You were going to do.

Immediately, would You believe it, but IMMEDIATELY after Dad got down and left, a man HURRIED (yes, HURRIED) to his car which was double parked right in front of our car. Mom didn't even have to reverse back. He moved his car out, and Mom slid the car in. Well, at least she's in the same double-parked row as the rest of the vehicles at that time, because otherwise our car was triple-parked and was jutting out, amidst morning traffic and clearly asking for trouble.

Thanks for hurrying the man, Son.

Dad came back some 20 minutes later. Bought some chicken for the soup stock, fresh prawns and the kueh teow noodles. Drove back to Taman Desa to get breakfast for Justine. Decided to get the lil packets of nasi lemak for all. Dad went down to buy, and Mom waited in the car.

Alone in the car, with no one listening, Mom found herself telling You about Mama and the dinner tonight, and said she wished that You were with us. Just then, the intro of the next song caught her attention.

TO LOVE SOMEBODY came on Mom's station @ 105.7. It was 8:18am. One of Mom's favourite song ever.

There's a light, a certain kind of light
That never shone on me ...

Will definitely check YouTube for a video to upload tomorrow.
Meanwhile, enjoy Adam's NO BOUNDARIES.

Oh yes, forgot to mention this ... a strange thing happened this morning but Mom only noticed it before she sent Justine for tuition just now. This morning, Mom went to Justine's wardrobe and took out a tee shirt. A dark blue one to wear for the day. Justine has not been wearing this tee shirt for a very long time, and she confirmed later on, that the last time she wore it, she was in primary school. We have not given away this short because it's still in okay condition.
So anyway, was wearing it ...

Then, before fetching Jus to tuition, Mom was in the bathroom, and saw the reflection in the mirror, a WORD that was on the tee shirt. The WORD was terbalik (mirror image), so she leaned forward to the mirror to spell the WORD out carefully :-

H E L L O

HELLO???

HELLO SON, Mom said.

Felt THE BOND instantly. <3
HELLO - on Mom's tee shirt today??? She cannot ever remember noticing this WORD before. You know some tee shirts right, some have very silly words, she normally doesn't notice scribbles on tees, but THIS one is PRINTED. You can't miss it. Funny that this particular tee has not been in her sight for many years. Yet, somehow this morning, she went to get it. She wasn't looking for the tee, all she remembers now is that, she pushed apart the clothes in Justine's wardrobe, and picked up the hanger to this tee. Took the tee off the hanger, and just put it on ... and went out of the house (to market). Oh boy ... She has never worn Justine's old tees before - let alone one that was worn by Jus in primary school!

Went to Dad and said, Look what's on my tee shirt?

Dad looked and immediately said, Aww, Hello Son ...

That was exactly how Mom responded when she saw the HELLO. Why would we respond HELLO SON, unless our Son has greeted us with a HELLO??? That's YOU, Mom's know, saying Hello. Mom thinks You led her to the tee today because You want us to know that You are gonna be with us today. It's a special day. Mama's having her birthday dinner with us. And You just wanna say HELLO ... :D

Also, if this tee had come to Mom before THIS HELLO SON BLOG, it wouldn't have sparked any message. It wouldn't have meant anything. Hello would be just a Hello.

And would not have brought an automatic "Oh, Hello Son," response from either Dad or Mom. :D

Aww Son ...

Gotta go now. Alarm just rang - time to pick up Jus and get her baking stuffs.

Missing You Daniel. Be with us this evening, kay ... <3

Love You.

Call 12 : PINK POETRY

Hello Son,

Finally, managed to publish the first entry on your Poem BLOG.

You will notice that the BLOG is PINK. Yes, yes, Mom knows PINK is not a typical color for a boy but everyone in the family will remember You have no qualms about PINK, or wearing PINK. Dad used to say, if You remember, that only REAL men can associate themselves with PINK. :D

Mom has added a PINK thumbnail on the left side of this BLOG for easy access. She intends to s-l-o-w-l-y transfer all the poems on your facebook site to this Poem BLOG. On this subject, she wants to mention that if not for one of your FB readers, Aunty Jee, Mom would not have started writing poems on your FB site. For that, Mom will always be grateful to her.

The ANY DREAM WILL DO song is still in our heads. Checked on some videos and learned that LEE MEAD was one of the 12 finalists selected from 10,000 hopefuls in an audition to pick the best person to play JOSEPH in ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER'S MUSICAL called JOSEPH AND THE TECHINICLOR DREAMCOAT. In Britain.

Here's the video on the Finals. This happened 3 years ago, but You can still feel the intensity of the competition.

Let's hear the song again. :D Here's Lee singing after winning the Finals.

Such a great song, and great vocals. Don't You think?

Talk to You in a bit. Hope Sebastian's adjusting well to his new environment.

Love You, Son.
