Call 288 : NOODLE SET

Hello Son,                                       (continue from Call 287)

Lord, make me a rainbow

I'll shine down on my mother

She'll know I'm safe with You

As she stands under my colors

(If I Die Young by The Band Perry)

Call 281 : Garden Zap

Aww Son, honestly ... It's unbelievable. Mom had asked You to give her a sign on Friday morning, on Call 287, and 2 hours later, the sign came ... and it came in a way that Mom knew instantly that it was You. :D

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

In fact, the whole week, You were busy dropping your mother little signs to remind her that You are near.

1. On Monday (Oct  17)
It was early in the morning. Dad was leaving for outstation. Dad had dropped Mom in school. The day care attendant said we were out of carrots. So Mom asked Dad to get some carrots at the nearby market ... walking distance from our school.

Some 15 minutes later, Dad came back with the carrots. He said he needed to leave then, to be in time for an appointment in Ipoh. We were at the door, when Mom suddenly spotted a tiny white feather at the door step.

Mom pounced on the feather ...

Did You see that? She was like a cartoon ...

She exclaimed excitedly, "Hey, a white feather ... Look!"

Picking it up, she held it up, and waved it to Dad.

Call 178 : Manga Message

Mom remarked that Dad must have brought it back from the market.

Grin.

No, she didn't quite get the usual ZAP ZAP ZAP with the one feather ... Sorry about that, Son ... You can't blame Mom ... She just wants to be VERY SURE that the feather is connected to her Son and not simply and carelessly think that every little feather that comes her way is from him.

Dad lifted his foot to look at the soles of his shoes. There was something long that had stuck on the soles ... like a sticky tissue.
Mom watched Dad pulled out that sticky thing ... and before long, found herself gasping.

OMG ... Are You kidding her?

It was a second white feather!

TWo -- WHiTe -- FeaTHeRS ???

The first feather by the door, is the shorter one (1 inch)
and the second feather, under Dad's shoes, is the longer one (3 inches).

Oh My Gosh ...

Dad grinned, "You want two, your Son's giving you TWO."

Can You imagine Dad bringing your mother two white feathers from the market? Mom finds it amusing that the second feather had survived the distance from the market to the school (probably about 100 steps) and was still stuck securely to the soles of your father's shoe when he noticed it.

Mom knows ...

She was so meant to see that.

Had Dad noticed the feather under his shoe earlier, he would have just plucked it out and chucked it aside. Mom happily held TWO feathers in her hand, and ran along to her table to keep it safely in her bag. :D

2. On Tuesday (Oct  18)

So that was Monday.

On Tuesday, Mom has told You about the Hello Kitty and the Hello Hello inciDANs in Call 287 : Rainbow Sign.

Several inciDANs happened on that day.

That morning, after dropping Justine off at college, Mom drove to pick up the first kid for school. She was about 10 minutes earlier than usual. It was 7:40 am.

So she turned off the engine while waiting for YH to come out of the house.

Mom smiled as she heard YH's mother yelling at him to hurry up, and that Teacher Lynn is here ... etc.

YH finally appeared at the house gate.

He was soon in the car. As your mother turned on the ignition, the song 21 GUNS came on the radio instantly.

Hearing that, Mom had to smile.

21 GUNS ...

Yes Son, 3 more days to your 21st month on Friday ... thought your mother quietly to herself.

Then, going home time at 12:15 pm ...

All the kids were nicely packed into the car. We were ready to go. The kids were fighting over which DVD to put on that day. Mom listened to their squabbles.

I want Strawberry Shortcake ...

No No No !!! ... I want Ultraman ...

No! I don't want that ... I want Barbie Princess ...

Mom listened and couldn't help smiling. Then, quite suddenly, just as we were leaving the school area, the following lines filled up the car :

The best thing about tonight's that we're not fighting ...

By Secondhand Serenade.

Mom's eyes shot to the time on the dashboard.

It was 12:24 pm.

OMG ...

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

How precious ...

How perfect ...

How awesome ...

12:24 pm ...

Your birth date ...

December 24 ...

Could it be that we have been this way before ...

FALL FOR YOU ...

The second song You sang to Mom the night before You left.

The children were watching the DVD with the radio on. Meant to be. So meant to be. Mom didn't know how to switch over from radio to the DVD sound. If she knew how to do that, she would have missed the song for sure.

Yeah Son ... Fall For You ... the last and final song You sang to Mom on earth ... Living now with God didn't stop us from singing together ... :D ... Does God sing along too sometimes?

See Call 266 : It's Amazing

Anyway ...

One by one, Mom dropped the kids home. When she was done with the last child, would You believe it, but another zap song came on and filled her senses within seconds.

Do You ever feel like a plastic bag ...

Oh Lord ... plastic bag ...

Sigh ...

Yeah, sure ... sometimes ...

Sigh some more ...

Sometimes all the time ...

Fireworks (by Katy Perry)...

The time was 1:15 pm.

1 Am Number 4 ...

If you only knew what the future holds ...

After a hurricane comes a rainbow ...

Mom went back to the school for a short while before Justine called to say she was ready to go home. A lot of driving today ...

Anyway ...

On the way to college, the song BACK TO DECEMBER came on.

The time was 1:49 pm.

Decode : 14

Oh Wow ...

Today's just so full of ZAP ZAP ZAP song messages.

I go back to December all the time ...

Yes Son, your mother does ... go back to December all the time ...

All the time ... she goes back to December ... <3

In particular, December 24 ...

Arriving at college, Mom picked Justine up.

We drove to one of the cafes for a quick bite. When the waiter came to take our orders, Mom said she wanted the :

"Hor Fun Set - small ..."  (Noodles)

Justine said she was still full from her lunch in school, so she ordered a drink.

The waiter disappeared into the kitchen.

Several minutes later, he came back and said,

"The hor fun, small set don't have, only big one got ..."

Mom stared at him and thought she must have heard wrongly. She didn't want to make a fuss, so she changed her order to the chicken rice set.

The waiter left.

Justine said, "That's so weird ... small set don't have, big one got ..."

Mom grinned, "You heard that too? I thought I heard wrong."

For the next few minutes, we were like, why can't they just take some of the hor fun (noodles) from the big set and put it into the small set? Can't they just take a bit from the big bowl and put into the smaller bowl? What's the difference?

Tsk Tsk Tsk ...

That's so weird, Justine kept repeating.

Anyway ... as Mom was having her chicken rice, Justine was still at the "big set small set" issue. No, she wouldn't let it rest, for some reason ... that would be apparent to us later.

When we were done, Mom called for the bill.

The bill came.

Mom glanced at the bill and let out a lil gasp.

Oh my goodness ...

Would You look at that?

The amount 1480.

All her angel numbers. No wonder she had to change her set. Had the noodle set arrived, the amount would be different.

No ZAP.

You must have whispered to the waiter. That's for sure.

Get my mother to change her set ... :D

Awww ... You were definitely with us at the cafe, Son ...

The poor waiter will never know what hit him ...

Chuckle.
