Call 390 : FRUIT SHOP

Hello Son,                                                                                (continue from Call 389)

SATURDAY, JULY 21

We left the mall about 5 pm or so.

We were fetching Justine from the condo for dinner.

Your sister wanted to have crabs that day.

Dad suggested Fatty's Crab.

We had not been to that restaurant for many years. It was at this place that You first discovered the pleasure of pounding your crab with a small food hammer and having the bits and pieces splatter everywhere.

We arrived at about 6 pm.

The place was already quite crowded. Of course there was a table for us.

Are You kidding? It's your 21st. We're celebrating together.

Dad ordered crabs, chicken wings and satay.

We will always miss our family meals together, Daniel. :(

After dinner, we drove to school to pick the maid before driving back to Taman Desa.

Mom said she wanted to get some fruits for juice the following week.

Approaching the shops, your mother suddenly heard a familiar music that had come on.

Oh ---- My ---- Gosh ...

She pumped up the volume.

Justine said intially, "What song is this?"

The first lyric hit the air. Mom sang out loud.

Daniel is traveling tonight on a plane ...

By Wilson Phillips

Oh My Gosh ...

The time on the dashboard showed 8:08 pm.

Decode : 4444

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

How awesome

How awesome

Omg, how awesome ...

Mom said aloud, "Eight O Eight ... Omg ... I sang this at the garden this morning ..."

Justine intercepted, "I sang first ..."

"Oh yeah ... You started with the one line ... What line was that?"

Your sister replied, "Daniel, You're a star ..."

"And then I sang, Daniel is flying tonight on a plane ... and You asked whether it's flying or traveling ..." continued your mother excitedly, recalling the event that enfolded this morning.

Justine was like, "Yeah yeah ..."

Gosh, Dad, Mom and Justine were there at the garden - we all heard the conversation - and now we were hearing the song together in the car. It was surreal.

What are the chances?

Angel chance.

Omg ...

The mood in the car was an incredibly all time high. :D

Dad parked in front of the fruit shop.

Mom said, "Don't turn the engine off yet ..." and continued singing along until the song ended.

Your mother said, "You see ... all the white trails I saw this morning ... 4 before the garden, one at the garden ... then Justine and me singing DANIEL at his garden ... we only sang that song, we didn't sing anything else ... and now at the end of the day, we all hear the song together ... If we had reached here one minute ago, You would have turned off the engine and we would have missed the song ... Omg ... "

What a perfect close to a perfect day.

The song ended. Mom had a big happy smile on her face. She got out of the car. Maid R followed her. Dad and Justine remained in the car.

As Mom and Maid R were walking to the fruit store, Mom said, "You asked me this morning why I took the photo of the white lines in the sky? That was my son. He sent them. You heard the song in the car? We sang that at his garden this morning ..."

Maid R smiled and nodded ... she understood.

Oh, the feeling at that moment was just incredible.

It was the knowing ...

The knowing that You are with us all the time ...

The knowing that the signs and the zaps are from You ...

The white trails ... the garden ... the jeans ... the 1234 I Love You ... and now the song Daniel in the car ...

Omg ...

Thank You, Son ... for being with us all the time ...

We love You very much and we know You're right beside us all the time ...

If we forget, remind us.

Again and again and again ...

God is so good to us ...

Keep the zaps coming, Son ...

Call 389 : SUPER HEROES

Hello Son,                                                                                (continue from Call 388)

SATURDAY, JULY 21

At the flower garden, the first thing Mom did was to check the sky ... like she were a weather reporter.

Grin.

Having seen the 4 trails this morning, she couldn't help but wonder if there might be a trail of some sort in the sky above your garden plot.

Oh ... Oh, wait a minute ...

Isn't that like a white trail? A plane must have flown past several minutes ago ...leaving a thin white trail in the sky above us. Mom took a picture.

You must have whispered to her to take all those white trail photos that Saturday ... because by night fall, something awesome happened and boy, was she glad she had all her trail eviDANS. :D

Taken 9:24 am at the flower garden.

We were tidying up your garden.

Dad was planting the flowers and Mom was giving You a facial ... your cold hard procelain photo that is.

Justine posted a message on your facebook.

They, she tried to check on youtube for the song that was on as we were on the way to the garden. Your sister said it was a new song, and kept saying, hey, it's a nice song. Mom didn't have any opinion on that until she heard the word "angel" sung in the song somewhere and decided she too likes the song.

Grin.

Mom said, "Hey, why don't You post that song on his facebook?"

Justine replied, "Cannot la ..." and explained that the lyric says

"It's too cold outside for angels to fly ..."

By the way, the title of the song is A TEAM.

Anyway, at one point, Justine sang out loud, "DANIEL, YOU'RE A STAR ..."

in the tune of the song DANIEL ... which prompted Mom to start singing the song too,  just as loud.

Hehehe.

Daniel is flying tonight on a plane ...

sang your mother, as she tidied up your plot.

Your sister interrupted, "Flying or traveling?"

Mom stopped.

Oh yeah ... it's traveling ...

Your mother started again ...

Daniel is traveling tonight on a plane

I can see the red tail lights heading for Spain

Oh and, I can see Daniel waving goodbye

God, it looks like Daniel

Must be the clouds in my eyes

At the "cloud" line, Mom found herself thinking about Aunty D's cloud inciDAN.

That was a totally incredible inciDAN.

See Call 377 : Cloud Sign

So anyway ...

We left the garden about an hour later.

Dropping Justine off at the condo, Dad and Mom drove on to town to have beef noodles ... again.

Yeah, Dad was craving for those noodles.:D

After breakfast, we went to Gardens Mall. Justine said we had to watch DARK KNIGHT. Mom wasn't really into Batman stuffs as You'd remember, but this coming week, our theme in school is SUPER HEROES ... and so she thought she had better get in touch with all the super hero ... umm, excitement.

Arriving at the mall, we went to the cinema to get tickets.

There were several shows that day, but tickets were sold out for all the shows ... except for seats on the first row nearest to the screen.

No tickets?

Serious ah ?

Dad said, "Your son knows you'll be sleeping in the movie la ..."

We didn't take the first rows tickets.

We're not that desperate. :D

We went instead to PappaRich to have a drink.

Mom ordered her usual D44 Iced Milk Tea and Dad had an iced coffee.

Whilst enjoying our drinks, Mom asked Dad to post a message on your facebook. She didn't have the time to do it that morning.

When it was time to go, Mom said to Dad, "Let's see if it's the same guy is at the counter ..."

The last time when Dad went to pay at the counter (Mom was at the table), the words :

Hi, I am Daniel

had appeared on the screen of the till. Dad told your mother about it later.

This time, your mother followed Dad to the counter.

Yes yes, it was the same guy. He punched onto the keyboard.

Chuckle.

955 ...

Decode : 44

ZAP ZAP ZAP

Code 44 : Everywhere we are, there You'll be ...

We browsed through some shops whilst making our way to Jusco.

We were at the household department. Mom bought some aromatic candle in a glass cup for our next visit to your garden. There was a 50% discount on the candles. That was nice. She bought 2 sets. There were two candles in one set.

Then, Mom went down one floor to the children's department.

Whilst on that floor, for some reason, she found herself strolling to KIKO children's wear section. Since You left us, Mom has not gone there, although she has passed the section from time to time. Today, she found herself spending several special moments nearby the corner where the jeans were displayed on shelves. There were some open boxed-like containers with tee shirts and Mom had casually picked one up ... to admire the color ... and to reminisce ...

Flashback ...

You will remember that Mom had asked You to try on a pair of jeans ... at that corner.

Not in the changing room, oh no.

She was helping You to change just by the KIKO shelves. There were no people around that area at that particular time. You had stripped to your underwear before trying on those jeans. She cannot remember exactly how old You were then but You were at the age where You could take off your pants in public without feeling embarrassed. Chuckle.

Your mother will always remember that incident because right after that, she realized that her pink handbag was missing.

She had left it on one of those open box containers (what do You call them anyway?) (should have taken a photo), nearby where we were, and had left it there when she spotted the jeans.

To cut a long story short, she had hurried to the customer service with You running by her side, to report her missing handbag. How relief was she when she was told that a customer had handed in a pink handbag a few minutes ago.

Her handbag was safely returned to her.

With that, Mom and You went back to the KIKO section, picked up the pair of jeans and went to the payment counter.

Memories ...

Memories ...

Memories ...

Mom found herself staring at that corner ... and wishing ... wishing ... she could turn back the time ...

With a heavy heart, she slowly walked away.

She must have taken about 10 steps away when she was suddenly alerted to a familiar music on the overhead PA system.

Gasp ...

Omg ...

Are you kidding?

1234, I Love You ???

Omg ...

Mom grabbed her handphone to check the time.

It was 2:44 pm

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

Immediately, Mom texted to Dad :

244 hear d song. Im at the plc where i bot jeans for dans

Dad replied with a smiley.

There's only 1 way

2 say

those 3 words

4 You-uuu

I Love You

Plain White T's

Yes Son, that's easy ...

Mom felt your presence throughout the song.

She lingered around the area, listening to every word that was sung.

That zap made her day, Son. Thank you for that.

You do remember that jeans / handbag incident, don't You?

Isn't it funny that Mom had to lose her handbag that day all those years ago? She probably would not remember the jeans incident quite so distinctly, because that wasn't the first time your mother made You try on clothes. However, that was the one place she lost her handbag. How could she forget that? She was meant to remember that inciDAN somehow.

Mom wanted to get a Batman tee shirt. She soon spotted some Superman tees hanging on the promotional stand. Mom walked over. It was about 20 steps away from the KIKO section.

Mom called Dad.

He appeared shortly.

She coyly showed him the Superman tee shirt.

Dad asked, "For who?"

She mumbled, "Me ..."

"Isn't this for children?" Dad asked with a laugh.

"Yes yes ... but I think I can wear this ..." She insisted impatiently.

The adult sized tee shirts are normally too long. The kids' size was just right.

Dad said, "Go try it la ..."

Recoiling in mocked horror, she replied "No way, I'm not going to try it here ..."

What would the sales girls think?

Your mother ended up buying 3 sets : one Batman and two Superman tees.

Hahaha.

Aiyoh Maaa ... tsk tsk tsk ... :D

Call 388 : 30th MONTH

Hello Son,

SATURDAY, JULY 21

Saturday 21st was your 30th month in Heaven with Jesus and Mother Mary and all the angels and saints.

The day before on Friday 20th, first thing in the morning ... yup yup yup ... FIRST zap in the morning happened when we were in the car.

Dad was fetching Mom to school.

The second he turned on the engine, the song RING RING came on and filled up our senses.

Ring Ring ... Why don't you give me a call ...

Omg ...

Oh --- My --- Gosh ...

What are the chances ???

Honestly, what are the chances of us hearing that the moment the radio came on?

Mom sang along, "Ring ring, why don't you give me a call ..." before blurting out excitedly, "Omg, Ring Ring ... Son's asking me to give him a call, can you see that? He knows I've been trying to write the daily entries this week ... " but didn't and couldn't as she was just too tired at the end of each day after school.

Mental and physical exhaustion.

Sigh ...

Mom spoke out loud, "I must start taking AgeGuard again ..." AgeGuard being her anti-aging pills.

Pause.

Don't You laugh.

By ABBA

So anyway ... on Saturday, Mom fetched the maid to the school for her to do her cleaning  as usual.

As we were walking to the car, that was parked outside the condo, this white trail in the sky greeted her. :D

Taken at 8:12 am.

Mom found herself smiling to herself.

Yes Son, we are going to your garden in a bit. Dad and Justine are getting ready.

Then, Mom saw a second trail in the sky ...

Smile Smile Smile ...

You must have seen that, huh?

Oh, it's so important to have that 2nd sign. :D

It's a definite :

I'm here la, Ma ...

She took another photo.

 Taken at 8:12 am.

Maid R saw your mother taking the photos and asked, "Why Ma'am?"

Mom shrugged and gave her a quick smile ... but did not offer a reply.

What could your mother say?

That's my son ... He knows we're going to his garden today ... It's his 21st today ... ???

No ... she couldn't say that ...

It would sound ridiculous ...

It's a Mother - on - Earth and Son - in - Heaven thing ... :D

For that reason, she has the right to remain silent.

Pause ...

Actually, You know what - the maid would have understood ... her baby is in heaven too.

Then, Maid R pointed to a 3rd white trail that was beginning to form in the sky, "There's a third one there, Ma'am."

Mom looked and wondered for a moment why she did not see the third trail in the first place.

Hmmm, maybe that one's not for her (Mom) ...

Maybe, it's for Maid R ...

She reasoned quietly.

Was she right, Son?

 Taken at 8:14 am.

We drove to school.

On the way there, ME AND YOU AND A DOG NAMED BOO came on the radio.

A quick glance at the time told her that it was 8:27 am.

Decode : 44

Mom found herself smiling. But of course. That song wouldn't come on that Saturday, for no reason.

That song reminded her of the time when we were at your garden many months ago, the time when we wanted to bring Kish (Aunty C's dog) to the garden too. Mom had related the inciDAN in one of the call-entries on the blog. It would take time to look for it so she's not gonna ... look for it.

Arriving in school, Mom went up with the maid to gave her some instructions as to what she had to do that day.

Then, she came down to the car about half an hour later (it was a long list of instructions) ...

and boy oh boy ...

Would You believe it ... but there was a 4th white trail in the sky right across the sky before her.

Omg gosh ...

4 trails???

What a coinciDANS.

Mom could almost feel your excitement.

Yes, You went to heaven with all your emotions.

Emil's mother told her that some time ago. "When they go, they take their emotions with them ..."

That made perfect sense to your mother.

Your mother has been able to feel the whole YOU on the other side.

You're still the same ... happier of course, carefree definitely ... and always by our side. :D

Taken at 8:51 am.

Mom drove back to the condo, but not before sending Dad a text telling him that she was on the way.

Arriving at the condo, Dad and Justine were by the fountain lobby.

They got into the car.

Mom wasted no time in relating about the 4 white trails ... and reminded that the day before on Friday, RING RING was on the radio when we started car.

Justine was like, "Aiyoh, do you have to sing that? It's in my head now ..." :D

Chuckle.

Call 387 : PEARLY WHITE

Hello Son,

SUNDAY, JULY 15

We were going to church. Dad went to get the car.

Mom waited by the fountain at the lobby on the ground floor. Justine and the maid were on their way down from the condo.

As your mother was sitting there, she was suddenly alerted to a tiny white feather that was kinda fluttering on the tar ground towards her before resting quietly and perfectly still.

Mom narrowed her eyes at first.

Was that a feather?

A white feather?

Omg ...

Last Monday, in school, Mom had found a tiny white feather as she was going into the lift. She had stopped to take a photo, wondering if there would be a second white feather.

In school on Monday ...

Half an hour later, a 6 year old boy came with a pink box and said, "Teacher Lynn, X broke the box."

Mom recognized the pink box instantly.

Why, only that (Monday) morning, X, a 5 year old boy, had come to claim a prize from the treasure chest for completing another 10 reading books. Mom had specifically told him that he was not to open the gift until he has shown it to his parents.

As Mom was trying to fix it, she spotted the word ...

ZAP ZAP ZAP.

A white feather just now ... and then ANGEL ...

Ah ...

That's easy. No prizes for guessing.

Eres tu ...

Back to the fountain this Sunday morning ...

The white feather was fluttering from her left side to the right, and finally stopped just as she spotted it.

See that?

Mom walked forward and peered at the tiny white thing.

Oh wow ...

It kinda looks like the white feather she discovered in school on Monday ... and so pearly white.

Here's your second feather, Ma ... :D

Thank you, Son ... everywhere we are, there You'll be ... <3

Truly ...

Call 386 : HALF FULL

Hello Son,

SATURDAY, JULY 14

It's night time already. A whole Saturday just flew by ...

but not without You by our side every step of the way.

Yes Daniel ... You're always with us, always near, always here ...

Always Son ...

It's incredibly amazing ...

How You remind Mom daily ... daily ... gawd yes, DAILY ... that You're right beside her is just super-amazing.

This Saturday morning, Dad and Mom took a drive into town.

We parked the car in an open air parking place, and walked into the streets of China Town. Mom wanted to get little umbrellas ... oh, You know, the ones that we use for dance purposes ... and thought she might find them in China Town.

She did. :D

She bought 8 little ones ... of different colours with different floral pattern and oh, they're so very cute.

Anyway, she was at a friend's toy shop at the material time and had picked several items for the school's OCCUPATION week ... toy sets including doctor, fireman, construction worker, soldier, beauty consultant, homemaker, carpenter, policeman career kits and some rather endearing tambourines. Dad remarked nostalgically that You've played with all of them before at one point or rather in your young life.

Yup, even the beauty set ... complete with your mother's high heels ... both You and your sister, and we have the photo in the album somewhere.

Chuckle.

Dad and Mom went for breakfast whilst the toys were being packed. Mom wanted to take Dad to this nice kuey teow thng coffee shop just down the road from where we were at.

We walked along the five foot pathway.

Then we came across a luggage shop, which BLOCKED the pathway across, as a result of which, we had to make a detour and walk out on to the main China Town street.

The moment we stepped on to the street, Dad pointed out to a tee shirt that was hanging at a mobile stall by our side, "JACK DANIELS."

Mom turned to look.

You must have seen her smile all the way from heaven.

Mom said cheerfully, "You see, there's a reason why that shop blocked that way ... We have to come this way to get zapped." :D

We walked to the kuey teow thng coffee shop.

Arriving there, Mom frowned.

Strangely, the place looked different ... and it wasn't open for business as usual.

A worker nearby said, "Sudah tutup." (closed down)

H-huh? How long has it been since she last came here?

Long ...

Very long ...

Perhaps about a year ago ...

Dad said, "Never mind ...We'll go for the beef noodles ... It's not far ..." which shop was further further further down and across the road ... and walk on a little bit more, please.

No not far ... not far ...

Not far at all ...

Huff huff pant pant ...

And the beads of perspiration on her forehead gleamed like shiny little pearls in the glistening sun ...

Tsk tsk tsk ...

Mom saw You shaking your head ...

Not far at all, she tried to convince herself ...

I can almost see it, that dream I'm dreaming but

There's a voice inside my head saying

You'll never reach it

Every step I'm taking

Every move I make feels

Lost with no direction

My faith is shaking

But I gotta keep trying

Gotta keep my head held high

There's always gonna be another mountain

I'm always gonna wanna make it move

Always gonna be an uphill battle

Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Aint' about how fast I get there

Ain't about what's waiting on the other side

It's THE CLIMB

 By Miley Cyrus

We finally reached the coffee shop.

Ah, that's a good song, no? We should consider singing that for our graduation finale.

What do You think?

We stepped into the coffee shop, and saw immediately one empty table in the fully-occupied place.

The last time we went there for the beef noodles was right before we visited your garden last month.

Mom said, "Son knows you want beef noodles ... Hahaha ..."

Dad was like, "Ma, I know you guys want beef noodles la ..."

Grin.

Since the last time we were there, we have been talking about the noodles.

So anyway, our noodles came ... and so for the next few minutes, we were slurping away on our food. :D

After the nice noodles, we slowly made our way back to the toy shop.

We stopped to buy a drink and some fruits, before arriving at the toy shop some 10 minutes later.

Mom spotted some large trucks under one of the shelves, and added 3 bulky vehicles to her shopping list : cement truck, excavator and a dumpster. What fun will the kids have on OCCUPATION week this week.

The bill came out to RM143.

Decode : 44

A smile appeared on your mother's face.

She's sure You saw that.

You're near, she knows.

We had 4 large bags to carry to the car.

Yeah, walk walk walk ... in the light of the Lord ... (hymn)

We reached the car, Dad dumped everything into the boot, and we drove off. Mom wanted to go to the departmental store next to check on concert outfits - the store of which was not far away, by car that is - and so Dad drove there.

Upon reaching the open parking area, there was a sign that said "FULL."

Dad said, "Eh, full ..."

Mom said, "Just drive there ..."

Dad repeated, "It's full ..."

Mom replied impatiently, "Just drive there la ... See the car in front ... 2122 ... "

Decode : 21

Smile ...

You're near.

Mom did not take a photo. It was too random and it happened too fast. Just as soon as she pointed it out to Dad, the car turned abruptly to the left into the underground basement parking ...  Oh, we were so not going there. It's ... it's ... haunted.

Dark and eerie ...

Dad drove toward the parking booth ... and stopped at the FULL sign. There were limited parking bays in the small parking area. You could see in one glance that every bay was occupied. Then, would You believe it but we saw one car reversing and driving out.

Hah. Did You see that? Does she know her son or what?

The parking attendant removed the FULL stand sign and signaled to Dad to park "over there."

Dad said, "Nah Ma, one parking bay for you ..." before driving in.

A song was on ... but we were not aware ... until Dad drove into the bay, and was about to stop the engine when Mom heard the line :

I BELiEVE IN ANGELS ...

The time was 12:33 pm.

Decode : 21

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

Instinctively, Mom smacked Dad's elbow to get his attention ... hehehe ... and to stop him from stopping the engine.

I HAVE A DREAM was on ...

"I believe in angels ... " Mom sang out.

She continued, "I have a dream ... Just as you parked the car ... I believe in angels ... and look at the time ... C'mon on, Son's talking to us ...It's so obvious ..." :D

Yes, it is ...

Dad grinned.

After the zap, Dad switched off the ignition and we got off the car. We did not wait till the song ended. We did not need to.

I BELIEVE IN ANGELS ... had come on just in time.

Meant to be.

Thank You, Son ... Of course, we believe in angels. That's easy. How not to? It's more difficult not to believe.

Dad said he was thirsty.

Across the road was a McDonald's outlet.

We walked across.

Mom went to the first floor to get us a table.

Dad appeared a few minutes later with 2 hot coffees, a sundae and a large pack of fries.

Your father complained about the sundae and said that it looked miserable.

Half a cup full ...

Once upon a time, we remember clearly, the sundae filled up the same plastic cup.

Not any more ... not in Malaysia anyways ...

Half the cup, half the satisfaction ... and that's why Mom doesn't bother to order sundaes anymore.

So anyway, we were done with our drinks and fries. Dad was scrolling and checking his texts on his cell.

Mom clicked onto her mobile to check the time.

It was 1:11 pm.

Decode : 21

Smiling, she showed the cell to Dad.

"Son's so with us ..." she said happily. You must have whispered to Mom.

Check the time now, Ma ...

We walked over to the departmental store.

Fast forward ...

(need to get ready for church now)

At the counter with the things that we bought, the bill on the till showed ...

Omg ... would You believe it?

Mom whispered to Dad at the cashier, "Look at the amount ... triple one ..."

RM 101-10

Decode : 21

Oh my gosh ...

What are the chances?

Angel chance for sure.

That's You with us on Saturday morning.

Definitely You, Daniel ...

Eres Tu ...

At the point of writing this call entry, Dad is on whatsapps with Aunty J (USA). She says she's at the shopping mall and she sent this picture.

Mom almost shrieked then, "Omg ... I just wrote about beads of perspiration and gleaming like pearls ... and now I see jewelers ... Son's zapping us ... "

Yes Son ...

That's You ...

What are the chances of Mom seeing this photo, and writing this entry at the same time?

No chance.

Call 385 : BREAKFAST ZAP

Hello Son,

It's Saturday today.

Another week has passed. Mom fetched the maid to school for her to do some cleaning works. It was about 8:30 am when we arrived in school. After giving Maid R some instructions, your mother gave Dad a call.

"I'm on my way back ... Let's go for coffee," she said.

Dad said okay.

Whilst driving back to our condo, Mom asked aloud, "Daniel, what are You doing today? It's Saturday today ..." :D

She peeked at the sky and saw white clouds against a vast clear blue canvass.

No ... no sign of whatsoever.

Oh, what was she expecting. She wasn't sure what she was supposed to see anyway.

If only she could just take a peek at what her son was doing in heaven right at that moment ...

Now is that too much to ask?

Was he having a nice hot chocolate with Jesus? she wondered.

Yeah ... chocolate ...

Your mother assumes You still do not drink coffee or tea. Remember, she had asked You not to ever drink tea or coffee 'cos those bad drinks will not do You any good but only stunt your growth. You never did have to curi-curi consume those caffeine drinks behind your parents' back.

Why, before we went to Lourdes, in September 2009, You were slightly shorter than Dad, but when we came back 25 days later, we were surprised to find You were taller than Dad. Both of you were standing side by side in front of the mirror in the bathroom at the material time ... and You were clearly taller than Dad. :D Mom remembers your smile, Daniel ... when she looked at the reflection in the mirror.

That would have made You about 6 feet 1 ...

"and a half ..."

Mom hears You. :D Mom hears You. :D

Chuckle.

Who says a mother cannot communicate with her child in heaven? Hah!

Truly, nothing is impossible with the Lord Jesus.

Mom arrived at the condo.

It was less than a minute when Dad walked out of the lift.

We drove to a small cafe in the neighborhood.

Yeah, the same one ... the one that serves those delicious mini-sandwiches.

At the courtyard of the cafe, Mom took a seat at a small table for two.

Dad went into the bakery/cafe to get the coffee and sandwiches.

A few minutes later, Dad appeared and sat himself down, placing a number on our table.

Mom turned the number and found 21 staring into her face.

Mom exclaimed, "Eh, 21 ... Did you pick this number?"

Dad said no ... the cashier gave him that number.

"Son's having breakfast with us ..." :D Mom announced happily.

Truly, there must have been at least 40 numbers ... yet it was a number 21 that was given to us.

Dad pulled out a third chair from the table beside ours and turned it around to join our table.

"This is for Son ... " Dad said with a chuckle.

Then, Mom saw the receipt that Dad had left on the table.

RM 20-50 ...

Pause ... as your mother's brains worked umm, overtime, to make a connection.

Hmmm ... nothing there.

No sign whatsoever.

That felt weird, to be honest.

Table Number 21 ... and no reinforcements, she had sighed in her head.

Where is that second sign, Daniel? Where is it?

The waiter came with a tray of our food. A second receipt was placed on the table.

Mom peered at it and found herself smiling.

She pointed to the number 21 at the 3 corners, saying,

"Look, 21 here, 21 here, and 21 here ... enough or not?"

Then she caught sight of the time at the top right corner and remarked,

"8:58 ... Hey, isn't that 21 too?"

Dad said yes.

Mom was like, "Omg, he's talking to me ... I was just asking him for a second sign ... and I suddenly see all the 21s ... what are the chances of seeing these 21s on all 4 corners of this small receipt?"

Clearly, her son had zapped her. :D

I'm here la, Ma ... Dad ... :D

Mom picked up the first receipt again. This time, she saw her sign.

"Oh, you paid, RM 21 just now issit?" Mom asked Dad, pointing at her zap number on the piece of paper.

Dad said yeah.

"Omg ... no wonder la ... I was like, why is this receipt showing 20-50 which makes no sense ... pada halnya you have to take out 21 ringgit to pay this bill ... Wah, Son's really good ..."

You must have whispered to Mom to :

Look at the receipt properly, Maaa :D

Mom heard your lazy drawl.

She ate her sandwiches whilst watching Dad cracked an egg into a large teacup.

"Eeeee ..." Dad said with face.

The supposedly soft boiled egg was not done properly and had looked rather raw, even to your mother's eyes. He called the waiter and asked for it to be re-done.

Mom's brains started working up again at this point.

Strange ...

A delay in time.

A deliberate delay.

There must be a reason why.

Mom left that aside ... and found herself going through the angel signs of the day, one by one, explaining to Dad happily ... and finishing with a ...

"And who says Son can't have breakfast with us, hah! Let me take a picture ..." :D

It was a lazy Saturday morning.

We slowly sipped our coffee and talked about coming concert.

When we were finally done with our food, we got up to leave.

Our car was parked some 20 walking steps away.

Approaching our car, Mom spotted a vehicle which numbers zapped her.

"Look, look ... double 21 ... enough or not? Son is asking, enough signs or not, Ma?" she asked laughingly.

The whole morning has been a 21 zap, one after another.

You really do know how to make your presence felt, Daniel.

We hopped into the car.

Dad started the engine.

Mom immediately heard a familiar song on the radio.

Turning up the volume, she pointed to the time on the dashboard, asking, "9:48 ... What's 9:48?"

Dad said, "21 ..."

Before she could respond to that, she exclaimed excitedly,

"Omg ... omg ... What song is this? Omg ... are You kidding me? Isn't this 21 GUNS???"

Dad grinned, and confirmed, "Yes, it's 21 GUNS ..."

Omg ...

What are the chances???

No wonder there was that delay. Had the eggs been perfect, we would have finished our breakfast about ten to fifteen minutes earlier ... and that would have made us miss the immediate ZAP when we started the car and even missing the song altogether since the drive from the cafe to our condo at the most took us only 3 to 5 minutes.

Mom called out aloud as she looked into the sky, as Dad was driving, "We know You're here with us, Daniel ... You just had breakfast with us ... You're right here, we know ..." :D

Gosh Son ...

Honestly, what are the chances?

No chance ...

No chance at all ...

No chance whatsoever ...

Honestly ...

Eres tu, Daniel ... :D

The television is on.

Dad is watching some kind of foreign documentary.

Suddenly Mom heard the name, "DANIEL ..."

She removed her headphones instantly, and turned to ask Dad, "Did I hear Daniel?"

Dad said yes.

Mom immediately checked the time on her mobile beside her and gasped.

Omg ...

She said out loud, "It's 1:02 pm ... That's a 21 ... Omg ..."

Mom asked Dad the title of the show.

Dad said, "8TV Let's Go I Dream Team ... speaking in Japanese ..."

Updated for the 3rd time today at 8:19 pm.

Oh Gee Wow ...

Today, something's awesome's just going on with the number 21.

This afternoon, about 3:30 pm, Dad and Mom left the house. We were going to fetch the maid from school, and get some groceries to prepare dinner this evening. Dad had just driven out of the parking bay, when Mom spotted a guy wearing a red shirt.

Excitedly, she had exclaimed to Dad, "Look, there's 21 over there ... slow down slow down!"

Dad had to slow down because your mother wanted to take a photo. :D

We went to get the maid, bought some groceries and came back home about an hour later.

Mom decided against telling You about the red 21 tee-shirt. It didn't feel like it was counted.

It was just a one random sign. There was no second sign.

There must be two ... for her to take the signs seriously.

Besides, it wasn't really a number 21.

Oh, open your eyes and take a look.

It was a number twelve. Not twenty-one. :(

It was just the way the guy appeared for her to see ... it had felt like there was a ... something.

Anyway ... Fast forward to after 8 pm at home.

Mom happened to changed the TV channel and found herself stopping at MTV.

A music video on Taylor Swift singing You Belong With Me was on.

As You know, watching music videos is really NOT her kind of thing but for some reason, she found herself watching that video ...  and thinking quietly to herself ...

Awww ... the girl is so pretty ...

She's got really nice skin ...

The black hair is so silky ...

Aiyah, but the guy's not that cute ...

Then came a part when she let out a gasp.

Her hand flew to her mouth.

Omg ...

You've got to be kidding her ...

Omg ...

She sat right up, and found herself holding her breath as she watched the boy on the field, in a 21 sports shirt. The same number twelve.

Omg ...

What are the chances???

Honestly, You must have whispered to your mother to turn to that channel at that precise moment.

You knew she'd get it (zapped) when she sees the two - one  ( 21 )  on the sports shirt.

Now it's counted, Ma ... :D

Yes ... Now there are two ...

ZAP ZAP ZAP !!!

Oh Gosh ...

You really do know what's going on in your mother's mind, don't You?

Honestly, Daniel ...

Eres Tu ...
