Hello Son,

Thursday, Feb 7

Your family had their Chinese New Year's Reunion dinner earlier this year. We had to, we were traveling to Singapore the next day, at dawn. On top of that, Aunty D and Uncle C had bought bushels full of lobsters and large fat prawns from their place in Tawau. The fridge was literally bursting with goodies.

We have always had Grandma's delicious steamboat every year for as long as we can remember, and this year was no exception, even though we were not gonna be at home.

We would have the reunion dinner early, Grandma had announced.

We all agreed that was a good idea.

Don't You? :D

Yee Sang ...

Grandma's version is undeniably the best!

Time to lo hei ...

What a colourful dish ...

Let's all have a happy, colorful and prosperous 2013 ... :D

Gong Xi Fa Cai, everyone! :D

Have one more ...

Grandma's awesome shark's fin soup.

It must be mentioned here that FALL FOR YOU came on the telly as Mom was taking photos, in particular when she was taking the above photo.

Mom had glanced at her cell, and had smiled, a secret smile.

The time was 8:00 pm.

I'm here, Ma ... :D

Of course ... but of course ... You would make your presence felt during the family dinner.

FALL FOR YOU was the second and last song You sang to Mom the night before You left us. don't get Mom started on that night, Son ...

I won't live to see another day, I swear it's true ... (tune)

Awwww ...

Dinner was amazing ... We all remember how much You enjoy Grandma's steamboat.

Kish sits quietly by herself, watching us from the side ...

Here are some photos that we took on our last Chinese New Year together.

We were at Genting Highlands. January 2009.
