Call 351 : FREEZING COLD

Hello Son,

Sunday, April 8

It's Easter Sunday today.

A reminder to us that Jesus is ALIVE and because of His resurrection, we can no longer die but have eternal life  ... because ...

We -- are children -- of the resurrection.

Say that with attitude, please.

Yup, Mom remembers that sermon, the first Easter without You with us, where the priest had drummed that line into her head. He obviously succeeded, since she still remembers it. Hah.

That entry is somewhere in the blog - but Mom has no time to look for it now.

On Saturday April 7 ...

Mom and the maid R, were in school ... Maid R was cleaning and mopping the floor. Yes, the maid has finally arrived and boy, is there a story to tell about the maid. Ah, but that can wait ...

Anyway, about 2 pm, Mom told Maid R that we had to go get some lunch. Justine was in the house and was waiting for her food.

So, we stopped whatever that we were doing, went to the car, and drove to the food court. It's been awhile since your mother went to the food court. Your sister had said she wanted hor fun (rice noodles).

Mom walked over to the hor fun stall and made her order. Then, she walked to the back of the court, and bought mixed rice for Maid R. After that, Mom walked back up, to a pan mee (flour noodle) stall, and ordered a packet for herself.

While waiting for the pan mee to be ready, your mother walked over to the hor fun stall, which was some 10 walking steps away from the pan mee stall, and asked, "How much?"

The man replied, "Finished shopping?"

H-huh?

He repeated, "You finished buying your food? Going home now?"

Mom said, "I'm still waiting for the pan mee ..."

The man remarked, "Oh, you get that one first. Only when you are ready to go home, I will prepare your soup for you. Otherwise the soup will be cold."

Pause ...

Oh gosh ... what was that?

All her life of buying food at the hawker, this would be the first time any hawker-man cared about the temperature of her soup.

Mom offered a smile and a "Thank you ..." and walked to the pan mee stall.

Your mother stood there and watched the girl prepare her noodles. Mom called out and said, she didn't want her noodles too spicy.

The radio at the stall was playing.

It was a Michael Jackson song.

Mom was not really paying much attention to it.

Her packet was soon ready. As the girl handed her the packet of noodles, Mom took a few steps forward, pulling out some notes from her purse at the same time, when she suddenly heard the song lyrics in the background :

You are not alone, I am here with You ...

OMG ...

Quickly, she pulled out her cellphone and saw the time.

It was 2:35 pm

Decode : 4

Oh gosh ...

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

She found herself walking over to the hor fun stall with a big smile on her face. She was not alone. Her son's reminding her.

I am here with You ... :D

At the hor fun stall, Mom said, "I'm going home now ..."

The man nodded and started packing up her soup.

Handing over the packet of noddles to her, he said, "RM8 ..."

RM8? Your mother thought incredulously.

For a packet of noodles?

When was the last time she bought a packet of noodles at the hawkers that cost that much. Even RM6 would have been expensive for a small packet of hor fun at the hawker's. What could he have put inside?

Then again ... heLLooooo ... EIGHT ringgit?

Eight?

Like  44?

Mom reached into her purse and paid the man with another big smile. :D

You're near ... Mom knows.

Mothers know these things. Don't ask how they know. It's a God-given intuition natural to mothers only.

A kind of umm, super-hero power.

Hah!

Ya Ma, Hah ... :D

Chuckle.

That Saturday evening ...

Justine, Mom and Maid R attended mass at 7 pm.

Dad was outstation.

The church was packed like sardines, and so we went up to the air-conned room (to witness the celebration through the projector screen). You must be shaking your head, huh.

No, strictly speaking, we were not late.

Just that everyone else was very, very, very early that day.

It was freezing cold in that small room, which could hold about 100 people or so. Mom found herself shivering as she sat there in the - ice-box. How many times has she told herself that she must bring her wrap everywhere she goes? You just don't know when you're gonna need it.

Like now ...

Brrrrrrr ...

How was your mother gonna enjoy, let alone survive, the 3 hour mass like that? Yes, tonight the mass was gonna be long.

Would You believe it but a few minutes later, a lady came to the front and made an announcement, ushering everyone to another hall located one floor above where we were.

Oh, mom was glad to leave the place and found herself welcoming the stuffiness of the corridor outside the room ... but then, the second hall was also air-conned, she grimaced to herself.

You could say her joy was short-lived.

Call 350 : CHE SARA

Hello Son,                                           (continue from Call 349)

Saturday, March 31

A little while later, whilst still on your draft, Mom somehow found herself at one point, googling "youtube che sara jose."

No particular reason.

Now and then, she would listen to CHE SARA and just - bury herself in the song ... why she has to do that, and for what, she doesn't really know ...

The song just feels good and sad at the same time ...

Paese mio che stai sulla collina

 By Jose Feliciano.

Anyway, whilst on the CHE SARA video, Mom noticed a thumbnail video on the list on the right with the length of time showing 2:21

Miss Italia Pageant 2008

H-huh ???

221 again ...

Like ---- again???

Oh my ... again???

Honestly???

What are the chances of your mother seeing this 221 two times after viewing the BIKE photo that evening???

It was just so weird ...

First, seeing the photo of the motorbike MAA 2210 ...

and then the anime girl 0221 ...

and now CHE SARA - 2:21.

Gosh, that was surreal ...

Mom was pretty dazed sitting at the computer with all her

221 eviDANS.

Che Sara, Maa ...    >.<

She decided she couldn't continue with her draft entry anymore that night. Dad was watching wrestling on telly. Mom wanted to change the channel but Dad said - wait - he wanted to see the Japanese guy ...

Arghhh ...

After what seemed like a long wait (5 minutes later or thereabouts), Mom finally changed the channel despite Dad's 10th "wait wait wait ..."

Good thing she did ... because she suddenly found herself watching FIREWORKS in the show that was then on - REVENGE.

Mom jumped up from her seat to check the time on the computer. It was 11:45 pm.

Decode : 144

Triumphantly, she said, "You see? Fireworks ... Son must have whispered for me to change over ... Hah."

Like ... Ya Ma, Hah! :D:D:D

Grin ...

Mom made herself comfortable on the sofa and continued watching the show ... it was a beach scene ... a man was dragging a body from the water.

Justine, at her desk at the time, said, "That's Daniel ..."

Mom's response was instant, "What?"

Your sister repeated,

"That's Daniel ... the woman's son ... he died ...

someone killed him ..."

Pause ...

You must have seen your mother sucking in her breath?

No, no comments ...

Don't get her wrong ... She has plenty to say about that, but no energy at the moment.

Che Sara, Son ... <3

As long as God's will be done and You're safe with the Lord.

Che Sara ...

Keep the zaps coming, Daniel ...

Wherever we are, there You'll be ...

Call 349 : BIKE INCIDAN

Hello Son,                                                (continue from Call 348)

After the two song zaps, Mom carried on with her work with a perpetual smile on her face. She's owing several entries, she knows ...  she knows.

Wait wait ... be patient ... :D

So anyway, as Mom was half way through preparing her draft on Call 348, she had stopped at one point, to find some images to upload on to certain paragraphs ... as she normally does.

Nothing unusual about that.

At the same time, she was transferring some photos she had taken during the week on her mobile to the desktop of the computer.

Got it so far? Two things were happening at the same time. She was looking for images and importing photos from her cellphone to desktop.

Soon, she was viewing the photos in the folder. Mom remembered with a smile at this particular photo :-

Taken on Thursday, 29/3/2012 at 3:13 pm.

Our car is the grey one on the extreme right.

The BIKE inciDAN on Thursday, March 29

Dad and Mom were in the car.

Dad had stopped in front of a bank, and double-parked as the area, including both lanes on left and right, was fully-packed with vehicles. As soon as Dad got out, the driver of the car that our car was then blocking (read that line slowly and picture that carefully ... Can? Got the picture?), came to get his vehicle.

Mom had to climb over to the driver's seat to drive our car out of the way. She could have reversed and waited for the man to get out, and then drive into that bay, but she decided not to. The lane was very narrow and it didn't look like she could turn our car in to the bay at her angle without leaving a scratch or two on the vehicles on the right and left of her.

Ha ha ha. Don't let Dad hear that. His streak of humor does not extend to scratches on the car, You notice?

Chuckle.

Anyway, we were not gonna be there for long.

So, Mom released the brakes, and slowly drove forward. Almost immediately, she noticed a vehicle coming out of its parking slot, two cars in front of her.

She had to smile. Such an impossible time to find a parking, and yet, a car had to move out to leave an empty bay for your mother. Why, the empty bay was just right there in front of her nose ... eyes .. she means eyes.

She slid the car in and as she did so, noticed a motorbike with the number plate:

MAA 2210.

Oh My Gosh ...

ZAP ZAP ZAP.

Decode 1 : MAA 14

Decode 2 : MAA 21 two times.

Hi Maa, it's me ... :D

However way she looked at it, she saw YOU YOU YOU.

Nobody nobody but YOU ... :D

On top of that ... OMG  - YAMAHA ???

As in like : Ya    Ma,    Ha!

Is that You, Daniel?

Ya Ma ... Ha, here's a parking spot for you. :D

Oh boy ... That was awesome.

At the same time, after Mom drove into the bay, she couldn't help but noticed immediately the vehicle right in front of her eyes :-

40420266

Mom saw an instant :

4     24    14

24 in front of her. 21 behind her.

Why, that's easy. Who else can it be?

And a large huge A?

So many clues ...

A for Angel, of course. :D

Dad appeared just then. Mom had opened the car door, popped her head way out, with her body still strapped under the seat belt (can you picture that?) to take a photo of the motorcycle, and Dad was like,

"What are you doing?"

Mom had to like shoo Dad away, "Move aside, move aside, I'm taking a photo of that bike ... move aside ..."

Dad did not move aside. He was not that cooperative that day and was hurrying Mom asking impatiently,

"What are you trying to do? There's a car waiting ..."

(waiting for us to leave the bay).

Anyway, Mom finally managed to capture a photo of her
eviDANs.

Hah!

Ya  Ma,  Hah! :D

Grin ...

So, that was the bike MAA 221 inciDAN that happened on Thursday (March 29th) afternoon.

Okay ...

Now go back ... go back would You please, to Saturday March 31st evening, when Mom was looking for images as she mentioned earlier.

Tsk tsk tsk, why so complicated one ...

You wait ... everything is just kinda connected.

Mom came across this anime photo of a girl looking at the moon. That image kinda reminded your mother of herself, she has to admit ... staring at the moon, talking to the moon, crying to the moon etc.

She clicked on it (Yeah, Dad said you have to click on the image first before dragging it out on to the desktop, did you know that?), and was somewhat surprised to see the number 0221 on the bottom left of the image.

W-what?

Two two one???

Again???

OMG ...

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

What are the chances???

(continue on Call 350)

Call 348 : THE CLIMB

Hello Son,

Saturday, March 31

On Saturday morning, Mom was doing some lesson plans on the computer at home, when a song broke out from the blurred PA speakers from the school nearby. Your primary school.

The Climb by Miley Cyrus.

 By Miley Cyrus.

Mom was singing along as she continued her work.

I can almost see it

That dream I'm dreaming

But there's a voice inside my head saying

You'll never reach it

 Every step I'm taking

Every move I make feels

Lost with no direction

My faith is shaking

But I gotta keep trying

Gotta keep my head head held high

There's always gonna be another mountain

I'm always gonna wanna make it move

Always gonna be an uphill battle

Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there

Ain't about what's waiting on the other side

It's the climb

A zap happened when mom found this image.

OMG ...

Will tell You at the end of this entry later ...

Shortly after, 21 GUNS came on, blaring from the sound system from the primary school about, Mom estimates, 100 meters away.

21 GUNS???

Awwww ...

Mom said to Dad who was on the sofa reading something on his laptop, "Son's waiting for me to get on call ..."

You can't fault your mother for reading between the lines. C'mon, why would a primary school play 21 GUNS on a Saturday morning in the first place? THE CLIMB she can understand, it's a song about inspiration and encouragement for the students, but 21 GUNS

In school?

What's the connection?

In her heart, deep in her heart ...

Yes, deep deep deep down in her heart ...

Oh, let's just add the "mind" and "soul" since we're talking depths ... she knew, oh yes she knew, her son was making his usual connection to make his presence felt.

God knows she needed that connection.

That bond.

That link ... to go on ...

God, my mother needs to know I'm right beside her,

otherwise she cannot function ...

... is what Mom thinks You'd probably say to the Jesus to please bend the rules in heaven a bit.

Nothing is impossible with Jesus, Mom has always told You ... and now that You're WITH Jesus, surely everything is just - sap sap suey? (easy)

Like You said, Daniel ...

It's so easy ... :D

So anyway, Saturday morning is our usual connection time, she knows ... most of the times anyway, if she doesn't have to go out. The time at the bottom of her computer screen showed 9:20 am.

Hmmm ...

9:20 am ...

Oh well, okay ... not a zap time, but still ...

Still, it was 21 GUNS.

HeLLoOoo ...

By Green Day.

Your mother continued with her work ... as she sang along.

OMG ... You wouldn't believe what happened next.

There your mother was, minding her own business and busy typing out her lesson plan for the following week, when suddenly, she heard a familiar tune when the first line of the song came booming through the interspace between the condo and school.

She had turned to Dad and asked,

"Eh, what song is this?"

Dad gave her "that" look, like "how could you not know this"

before saying, "1234 I love you ..."

(WONT' GO HOME WITHOUT YOU)

OMG, of course ...

Quickly, she turned to check the time and blurted out excitedly as she saw her angel sign starring back at her.

It was 9:44.

Decode : 44

Our Code 44 ... Everywhere we are, there You'll be ...

Call 334 : Code 44

Song number two.

Ah, heard that? Twoooo ...

Two songs to zap your mother and to tell her You're near. The school was playing WON'T GO HOME WITHOUT YOU? What on earth for? What's the connection to school students? She had to smile. It was for her. All for her. She would only take the signs seriously if there were two. Her son knows that.

That's our rule - there must be two.

THE CLIMB was to get her attention, before the zap by

21 GUNS and WON'T GO HOME WITHOUT YOU.

Two songs ... so ...

Take notice, Ma, I'm right beside You ... :D

Mom said to Dad,

"He's saying, Maaa ... I'm waiting for Youuuu ..."

Dad smiled.

Your mother turned to look out of the window, and kinda yelled out, "Give me a minute ... I have to finish some work first ..."

Pause.

Did You hear her?

Hmmm ... 1234 I love You ...

bY mAROON 5.

The first song You sang to Mom the night before You left us. How could she not feel the zap zap zap??? She's got to be made of stone if she did not feel that OMG zap. Mom could really feel your presence.

Our call time, Maa ... :D

(continue on Call 349)
