CALL 843 : DANNY THIS

Hello Son,

Friday @ 20:25 pm.

We were done with our activities in school by lunch time.

Mom took a selfie at this point.

She had just cut her hair yesterday and she wanted to send a photo to your sister.

13:30 pm

Mom snapped 3 selfie - shots of herself and then,  chose one to forward to Justine.

Lol.

Everything was as normal as normal could be ...

when suddenly, our 2 year old brought this storybook and put it before your Mother.

13:46 pm

Mom looked at it.

O

M

G

This is the book Aunty Jessie's mother-in-law gave you ... for Christmas ...  a long, long time ago.

You must have been 7 or 8 years old.

Mom caught sight of the Unicorn.

It's the same child ...

as the one Mom told you about yesterday.

Danny and the Dinosaur.

Your book.

The toddler was flipping the pages.

Mom remembers this page with your name on it.

This book has been kept in the school all these years ... buy we have never used it.

Not really.

Maybe once or twice ....

Some 10 - 15 years ago ..

Yeah ...

that long ago.

The book was just kept with other reading and story books in our small library.

Yet ...

the little girl picked THIS book ...

YOUR book ...

DANIEL PHUA's book ...

and brought it to Mom.

That was --  awesome.

To say the least.

About 10 minutes later,  a 6 year old girl exclaimed loudly :

"Teacher Lynn!

Seriously?

Seriously?"

The girl cried out loud.

Pause.

What?  Seriously?

That was like the very first time Mom has ever heard that 6 year old girl speak like this.

Like -- Mom.

Mom asked,  "Why?  What happened?"

The girl picked up your book ...

and said,

"I have this book!  Danny and the Dinosaur. I have this book!"

Mom couldn't help smiling.

"Are you sure?" your mother asked.

The girl was like -  really excited - and telling Mom repeatedly :

"It's the same book! Danny and the Dinosaur. I have this book at home!"

She began to read a few lines ....

on this page ...

and on that page ....

Mom only heard Danny this and Danny that ...

You must have seen your mother smiling secretly to herself.

Thanks,  Son.

That was cool.

You are always near.

Mom can count on that.

After school,  your parents drove to the mall.

Haha.

Where else could we go on a hot day?

We need the aircon.

15:11 pm.

And the iced drinks.

After her nice and refreshing iced tea,  Mom went for her pedicure.

Dad said he would wait at the coffee shop.

16:13 pm

Mom did not have an appointment.

She figured 4pm would be her lucky time.

She was right.

There was  an empty slot for her.

Mom asked how long would the pedicure be.

The girl at the counter said,

"45 minutes."

Alright.

Mom was going through her photos taken this morning during the Spring activity ...

when the therapist said the pedicure is done and could Mom move to the fan to dry her nails.

Mom was asked to sit here.

Mom looked at the "signboards" before her eyes.

Smile?

Rainbow?

Her heart whispered,

"Hi Son ..."

Her Son is making his presence felt.

Smile.

The fan for her toe nails.

Mom's view.

So anyway ...

when we got home this evening,  Mom was busy going through the school's photo gallery.

Dad happened to be watching a YouTube video that was on.

Some food video.

18:50 pm

Suddenly,  your father said,

"Hey,  look at the shirt he's wearing ..."

Mom looked up.

Mom grabbed her cell and ...

SNAP!

And SNAP again!

21?

Nice.

Perfect!

Ok Son.

Need to go.

Talk to you tomorrow,  Daniel.

Keep the ZAPS coming.

Mom

xoxo
