CALL 835 : RED BOX

Hello Son,

(Continue from Call 834)

We went to a noodle shop at about 230pm.

Mom, Aunty J and Aunty D.

Uncle C and Dad.

We are trying out the filter.

Only Honor phones have filter.

It's suppose to blur away our lines.

Altogether now.

Birthday girl in the middle.

Food is here.

Aunty H.

Noodles in nyonya sauce
and chicken chop.

Noodles with preserved
vegetables.

Pan mee.

Dad and Mom went back about 430pm.

We had to get our dishes ready for dinner.

Mom made steamed chicken rice.

Dad added the sauce and some greens.

Omg. The sambal for chicken rice.

Dad made curry lamb and potatoes.

To go together with sambal matah.

It does look better with some
spring onions.

We brought our 2 dishes to Grandma's.

The lamb was so succulent
and the curry was delicious.

Grandma made sambal petai.

White people call this stinky beans.

They are not stinky at all.

This is our favourite dish.

Aunty D,  Aunty J and Mom.

Can you smell that?

Hmmm ...

Amazing!

Happy birthday, Aunty Jess!

Jelly cake.

Aunty J got this shirt for Dad.

Your Aunt J got these 2 twin

blouses for Mom and Justine.

Justine said :

Noooooooo!

Lol.

Ahhh.

Something incredibly awesome

 happened here.

See that red gift box?

So,  that box was on the table

beside us ...

and has been there since

Aunty J came 9 days ago.

Your Aunt J brought

all kinds of gifts

for the family

and they were all placed

on this round table.

At one point,  Aunty D asked :

"What's that?"

(indicating that red gift box)

Aunty J replied,

as she reached out for the box,

"This?  Oh,  this is a box of

chocolates."

Aunty D asked,

"From who?"

Aunty J said,

"From Daniel ... "

Mom was like - what?!

There was a small tag

attached to the gift.

Mom looked at it.

Omg.

Seriously ...

Do you see your name

Daniel

on the tag?

Then,

Mom let out a gasp

before exclaiming,

"Hey, isn't that my name!"

Omg!

Doesn't that surname on

the second line end with

something that looks like ...

Lynn?

Omg!

That ZAP was so incredibly fantastic!

Mom said excitedly,

"Daniel wants to be here too ..."

Mom couldn't wait to show that ZAP tag to Dad and Justine.

It was too amazing!

That box has been on that table for 9 days. Mom has been checking out all the little cute gifts and American snacks that Aunty J brought for the family.

How did Mom not see this tag sooner?

Mom told Aunty D,

"Daniel must have whispered to you ..."

to ask the question, what is that and who is it from.

If your aunt had not asked that question, we would never have known there was a ZAP for Mom on this box.

Omg!

What are the chances.

Seriously ...

Unbelievable.

BELIEVE ....

It would be difficult not to ...

Of course,  you would be here with the family.

It's just so amazing that you were able to ...

announce ...

your presence with us.

Yes.

Announce.

Like with a loud speaker.

I am here,  yall.

Aunty J explained that the red box of chocolates are from her student,

Daniel ...
