Call 651 : FREE FREE

Hello Son,

So yesterday (Saturday), after talking to you on Call 650,

Mom and Grandma went to Bangsar for our manicure appointment.

We were at the salon before 12 pm.

Dad took Grandma's car for a wash.

During the mani and pedi (Grandma did mani, Mom did both),

Mom told Grandma all the ZAPS that happened the last 2 days.

(the ZAPS that Mom told you in Call 650)

Fast Forward ...

We were done by 1:30 pm.

We went to have lunch at a Chinese restaurant at the mall.

After a nice meal of noodles and spring rolls, Grandma and Mom

walked a bit before Mom called Dad to say we were ready to go home.

It was 3:17 pm when Mom sent Dad a text to ask Dad to pick us up,

as it was about to rain.

Dad said, okay .. he was on the way.

Grandma and Mom walked to the entrance/exit where Dad dropped us

earlier, to wait for Dad.

It took Dad about half an hour to arrive.

About 10 minutes before Dad arrived, the strangest thing happened.

Grandma and Mom were just standing right there nearby the entrance/exit.

At one point, Mom's attention was drawn to a family, who were walking

towards us ... or rather the exit. Mom looked at the father, and the mother,

(presumably) who was pushing a pram with a little boy inside.

As they were approaching to where was Mom was standing, the mother

who was talk talk talking to the child, said in a loud laughing voice,

"bla bla bla ... ice cream??? FREE??? FREE???"

Mom spun around to see if Grandma heard.

Grandma was busy admiring a handbag at the retail window beside us.

Mom thought of taking her handphone to take a photo,

but the family had walked through the exit of the mall already.

Mom had a big wide smile on her face.

Seriously???

FREE FREE ???

This woman had to say out loud this word FREE FREE

as she was approaching Mom???

What are the chances? A billion words she could have uttered

at that moment, she uttered one that would ZAP mom???

Of all the words in the distionary, she said this word out aloud???

FREE FREE???

And two times at that too???

OMGosh.

My Son received my call, Mom thought to herself with a

victorious smug. Mom had just sent Call 650 to you before

going to the mall.

OMG.

ZAP ZAP ZAP!!!

Dad arrived.

Mom was so excited.

She couldn't wait to tell Dad.

She jumped into the car.

The words poured out -- freely.

LOL.

"OMG, Son received my Call. I just sent him before I came to the mall.

A mother was talking to her child, and as she was passing me, she said

in a loud voice, "something something .... ice cream ... FREE?? FREE??"

In a question tone.

OMG.

That was incredulous.

Repeating that was just unreal.

Dad chuckled.

Grandma didn't quite understand what was happening ...

and Mom did not go into it. It was a precious moment and your mother

did not want to ruin it.

ZAP ZAP ... all the way from heaven and back.

You got Mom's message. That's for sure.

Hello Son ...

Bog smile.

Was that amazing or what!

So anyway ... we went home.

Dad and Mom were going to attend the 6 pm mass (Easter Vigil).

Justine was at work and would finish by 6 pm.

Your sister will meet us in church.

We arrived at the church at 5:15 pm.

Would you believe it but the whole church was packed to the brim.

We were not able to sit inside.

The last 2 masses, we were in church an hour earlier and was able to sit

like right in front -- like 2nd row from the altar.

So no choice. We had to sit outside the porch.

Before long, the altar boys came.

There was that very tall boy, well over 6 feet 2.

Dad and Mom noticed him during the last 2 masses that we attended

on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.

Dad said under his breath, "Daniel would be that height."

Pause.

Are you, Daniel?

When we sent you off in your spaceship-coffin, you were 6 feet.

Have you grown taller? You were the tallest among your altar boys

during your time.

Seeing that tall boy reminded us of you in your white robe.

Especially your handsome face.

Hymns were being rehearsed at the time, in preparation of the mass.

Mom sang along ... from one to another.

Until one made her sit up straight up.

Pause.

OMG.

Seriously.

This song.

OMG This song???

Mom has not heard this hymn like - forever.

Uncle Christopher who used to pray over you and for you,

sang this hymn each time we visited him, and Mom had

learned that hymn and had sung it for you (continuously)

while you were in a coma in the hospital.

(you woke up from the coma a few days later)

(Mom knew that you were merely having a conversation

with Christ -- during that coma time).

The hymn that had come on in church was :

IN MOMENTS LIKE THIS

IN MOMENTS LIKE THIS

(youtube link)

This was the hymn that Mom sang to you in your last visit at

the hospital. And a second hymn For Those Tears I Died ...

the latter of which Mom had also sang for you during your

Farewell Mass.

FOR THOSE TEARS I DIED

(youtube link)

So anyway ...

after mass ended about 8 pm, we were in the car, and driving to Bangsar.

For dinner, and also to get Justine's car -- she had taken a grab/cab to church

to avoid parking issues.

In the car, Mom googled FOR THOSE TEARS I DIED and played

the youtube video it in the car.

Mom sang softly to herself.

It wasn't until the second paragraph, that she suddenly felt her pulse race ...

when the FREE word appeared.

Your goodness so great,

I can't understand

And dear Lord, I know that

all this was planned

I know You're here now

and always will be

Your love loosed my chains,

and in You I'm FREE ...

But Jesus, why me?

Tears started rolling down your mother's cheeks.

She was overwhelmed.

It was dark in the car, and Mom made every effort

to sit silently, and just allow her tears to trickle

down her face.

Dad and Justine were exchanging news of the day.

Mom was choking back lumps that kept appearing

in her throat.

Thank you, Son ...

You are near, Mom knows. And Mom knows you want her

to know that you're near. Because of Jesus's resurrection,

you are alive and well.

You are certainly FREE.

This morning, Easter Sunday, we went for morning Mass.

Dad, Mom and Grandma.

Justine was working.

We attended the 8:30 am mass.

We arrived in church early, and managed to sit near the altar.

2nd row from the front. Any nearer, we would have been ON the altar.

Hahaha.

After mass, we went to Our Lady's grotto.

We lit some candles, said our Hail Marys, and took a selfie.

From church, we went to the Gardens Mall.

Being Easter, we were going for dim sum at a Chinese restaurant.

After brunch, we strolled along the shops.

Then about 12 pm or so, as we were walking towards Jaya Grocer,

Grandma stopped by a chocolate retail counter ROYCE.

Grandma was taken in by an easter egg that was on display.

She asked the girl behind the counter whether we could buy that.

The ROYCE girl replied, "I can give you that."

Grandma said, "I need 3. Let me pay for them."

The girl responded, "It's FREE. No need to pay."

Pause.

Pause some more.

FREE???

3 eggs???

FREE???

FREE???

FREE???

OMG what???

Seriously???

Mom had to ask the girl to pose with Grandma for a photo.

By the way, Grandma wanted 3 eggs for Megan, Dylan and Ryan.

See the 3 eggs???

You can put stickers over it.

Grandma had so happened bought some mini chocolate eggs

from Marks & Spencer a moment ago, and so it was just perfect

to present those mini eggs in this Easter egg shell.

Wow!

Thanks Son. That was surely you, arranging for that.

You must have whispered to the girl ...

Let them have the 3 eggs for FREE.

... because there was no hesitation on the girl's part. She just turned around,

went to a cupboard, and took out the 3 egg shells.

Mom was laughing when she repeated the incident of yesterday's

FREE FREE (2x) to Grandma, and now this.

Today, it's 3x.

Three FREE Easter egg shells.

FREE.

FREE.

FREE.

Oh my.

ZAP ZAP ZAP all right, Daniel.

We walked for a bit, until Grandma said, Grandma's friend

was going to meet us at the mall. Grandma and her mahjong

friends were going to have a mahjong session at 2 pm at

Grandma's house later before going for Easter dinner

celebration in the evening.

So one of Grandma's friends was supposed to meet Grandma

at the mall.

The godson of that friend would drop her at the mall.

Meeting point at KFC.

Gosh.

You're so not gonna believe what happened next.

So Grandma's friend arrived with the godson.

After the initial greetings, the godson introduced

himself to Mom.

"Hi," he said, "I'm Jason."

Pause.

What???

O

M

G

Seriously.

Jason???

Jason is your second name.

Daniel Jason.

Jason was pulling a small overnight luggage for his godma

(she was staying the night at Grandma's after their dinner).

He followed us to meet up with Dad. Dad was waiting for

us at Village Grocer (we had left him there to go to KFC)

He shook Dad's hands.

Mom couldn't wait to introduce him to Dad.

This is Jason, Mom said to Dad, as she gave your father

that - look.

LOL.

Mom whispered to Dad whilst we were walking to the car park.

FREE FREE FREE and then JASON???

OMG. What more proof do you want?

That's Son with his Happy Easter message to us.

Thank you JESUS for your resurrection ...

because You died for us,

we will live forever.

FREE FREE FREE

Happy Easter, Daniel. Thank you, Son, for all the ZAPS

that you send to us daily. Your EASTER ZAPS were

really really awesome.

Over to you, Son.

xoxo

CALL 650 : MAUNDY THURSDAY

Hello Son,

Something totally amazing happened on Thursday, April 6.

Maundy Thursday.

We were in school.

The plan for the day was as follows :

Teacher A was going to stay back in school till 5 pm.

(She normally goes back at 3 pm)

Mom will return at 5 pm ... and be in school with another staff,

until last child goes home (normally around 6:15 pm) ... and

thereafter, Dad, Mom and Justine will be off to church. We are

helping out during the mass at 8 pm. (Mom mistakenly

thought it was the 8pm mass.)

So that day, Justine was on leave.

She went to the gym.

After her exercise, Jus texted Dad about lunch.

Your sister was supposed to swing by the school to pick us up

for lunch at around 1:30 pm.

Just before Justine arrived in school, Teacher A was telling Mom

that she will be able to stay back until the "last child goes home."

Mom didn't think it was necessary, and told Teacher A to just

stay back till 5 pm, and Mom will be back to school at that time,

and Teacher A and go back then.

Very strange.

Teacher A repeated several times to Mom that she would be able

to stay back "till the last child goes home." She has never said this

before and coming from her, that was a little strange. Normally,

her latest would be 5 pm, thereafter she would need to go home

to prepare dinner etc.

Anyway ... Justine arrived in school.

Dad went down first.

Mom was finalising with Teacher A at the time.

Teacher A still insisted again that she could stay till "the last child

goes home."

Again, Mom told her, that was not necessary. Stick to the original

plan, Mom said. Teacher A will stay back till 5pm. Mom will return

to school at 5 pm, and Teacher A will be able to go home them.

OK. So that was set.

Mom took her handbag and went to the lift.

In the lift, your mother realized she had left her handphone in school.

This is not uncommon. Mom has left her handphone in school

before ... and she will normally retrieve it when she returns later in the

evening.

However, that day ... there was this nagging feeling ... like a voice

in her head ... to tell her to go back to school to get her handphone.

The lift came to the G floor.

The door opened.

Mom would have stepped out as she normally does, and tell herself

that she would get her handphone later when she returns.

This time however, the voice / feeling was just intense. Mom found

herself pressing the lift button to number 5 ... to go back to school.

She had to get her handphone.

At 5th floor, Mom walked out, went back to school ... and at the same

time Teacher A came out of the school door entrance and handed Mom

the handphone.

Your mother took the handphone, said her thanks, and told Teacher A

"will be back by 5 pm."

Everything was as normal as could be.

In the lift, Mom scrolled to the Church group text to check what duties

Dad, Mom and Justine would be assigned to.

She scrolled to the 8 pm mass.

She frowned.

Where were your father, mother and sister's names?

You would have seen your mother slowly scrolling down the list

with her finger.

Our names were not on that 8 pm list.

Hurriedly, Mom swiped to the list of the earlier mass at 4 pm.

Gasp!!!

We were on duty for the 4 pm mass!!!

Immediately, Mom called Teacher A and told her yes, yes, yes ...

she needed Teacher A to stay back in school (with another staff)

"till the last child goes home."

In the car, Mom told Dad and your sister that we were attending

the 4 pm mass ... and not the 8 pm. Dad and Justine did not

remember and had not said anything about the 4 pm mass either.

OMG.

Had we forgotten, and gone to the wrong mass, we would have

inconvenienced all those on duty at 4 pm ... because 3 volunteers

were missing!

Gosh Daniel ...

You must have whispered to Teacher A to stay back "till the last child

goes home" (so that Mom need not return to school after she left at noon)

... and ...

and ...

for sure, you had whispered to your mother to "go back to school to

get your handphone, Mom."

That was pretty amazing, Son.

On top of that, Dad and Mom had said a prayer in school early that morning ...

when no one was around. We had not for a while now because by the time

your parents came to school, the staff were already there. However, the helper

is on 2 weeks leave (went back home to Indonesia) and so Dad and Mom were

early on that Thursday.

The helper was absent from Wednesday.

Just to mention here that, on Wednesday ...

there was literally BIG chaos in the school.

3 kids were wailing throughout the day.

One was a new kid, so yeah, that's understandable.

The other 2 ... were normally very good.

We hired a replacement helper for the 2 weeks ...

and we wondered whether it was because of this new

stranger in the school that made these 2 uncomfortable.

She has a pleasant face ... not scary or fierce looking.

So anyway, because of all the crying on Wednesday,

Mom told Dad that we had to say a prayer that Thursday morning.

At the end of Dad's prayer, Mom added, "In JESUS' name,

all-that-is-unclean-and-of-no-good, BE CAST OUT!

She had raised her voice "BE CAST OUT" several times, while pointing

to all the directions in the school ... up down center left right corner to corner.

Yup, it was dramatic.

When things get dramatic, dramatic measures have to be taken.

So there.

Kids wailing throughout the day --- Hellloo, don't say that's not dramatic!

That day, on Maundy Thursday after the prayer early in the morning ...

believe it or not but there was a drastic difference.

Total calm and peace in the school.

Child A was back to her normal quiet self.

Child B cried when she first came in, but stopped and return to normal.

Child C (new one) dropped the crying mode by like 90%.

Gosh.

We have forgotten how powerful a PRAYER can be.

Did Mom not read somewhere that the D*vil actually shivers when

we say THE ROSARY?

So yeah, PEACE returned on Thursday ... after a TURBULENCE on Wednesday ...

and Mom was able to leave the school to Teacher A and another staff while

she was attending mass at 4 pm. (We had to report by 3 pm ... and mass would be

like for 2 hours ... so yeah, definitely no time to return to school).

So that was good.

We were in church by 3 pm.

Fast forward ...

After mass, Mom went to Mother Mary's grotto.

We have 2 grotto at St Francis Xavier.

One was Lourdes, and the other was Fatima.

Mom went to the Fatima Grotto ... our car was parked nearby.

Justine was in the car ... Dad was still in church helping

with the collection duties.

Mom was with Mama Mary till Dad came to get her.

That was about 20 minutes or so.

She had a good heart-to-heart talk with our Lady ... more

importantly, she remembered to thank JESUS and MARY

for keeping you safe and alive in HEAVEN ... we feel your presence

all the time, Daniel ... and today was no exception.

Mom is humbled how God allows you to communicate and zap her

all the time.

ALL THE TIME.

Yes, all the time.

Daily.

So anyway, Dad came to get Mom. and we walked to the car.

Justine was driving.

We were going to SS2 for dinner.

In the car, Dad and Justine were talking about some new condos

and developments.

Mom was sitting behind ... just looking out the window ...

and going through the events of the day. Seriously, what made

Teacher A kept telling Mom that she was able to "stay back till the

last child goes home"?  And ... What made your mother return to the school

to retrieve her handphone? Oh, and what made Justine come over to pick

your Dad and Mom up for lunch? (In the end we didn't have lunch --

Justine only had time to shower, she had been to the gym ...

and then we had to hurry to church by 3 pm)

You must have whispered to Justine too.

Go pick up Mom and Dad.

Since your sister started working, she has never stopped by the school

to pick us up for a meal ... not even on her off days.

Normally Dad will just buy back home.

That was the very first time that Justine came to pick us up.

Everything just fell into place ... so orderly.

About 10 minutes or so in the car, Mom suddenly noticed a familiar

tune coming from the radio.

Your mother listened.

It can't be ...

She wasn't 100% sure of the song until the first line came on ...

When I find myself in times of trouble ...

Pause ...

What???

OMG!!!

No way!!!

GASP!!!

Mother Mary comes to me ...

Speaking words of wisdom ...

Let it be ...

You would have seen your mother almost jumped out of her seat

in the car as she was trying to get Dad and Justine's attention.

Mom was like, "OMG!!! I was just talking to Mother Mary at

the grotto just now ... and now she's replying to me!

She heard my prayers!"

What are the chances of this LET IT BE song coming on right after

Mom visited the grotto, and on the way to dinner? The car ride was

about 20 minutes thereabouts.

Mom had the FULL song sang to her.

It was heart-to-heart talk at the grotto ...

from a mother-to-a-mother, Mom said,

and this-song-comes-on????

ZAP ZAP ZAP!!!

All the way from Heaven and back!

Mom's eyes had shot to the time the second she knew the song.

1816

Immediately, your mother's brains went into overdrive.

1816

286

143

Mom drew in her breath slowly.

One

Three

Four ...

Why does that sound familiar?

OMG ...

Is - that - not - the - number - she - had -

seen - on - the - recent - Saturday?

Mom had taken a photo then. She was watching a movie (Netflix on TV) ...

Dad was away during the weekend, and Mom was all alone at home,

Justine was working ... Mom cannot remember now which movie it was ...

it could have been MURDER MYSTERIES 2 (but she can't be sure) ...

when she saw the name DAN popped onto the TV screen.

At the time, Mom had taken the photo to show Dad that DAN was

with her when she was all alone at home.

413 DAN

44 DAN

Now it made sense.

Of course, DAN was behind it all the time.

LOL.

Mom laughed to herself.

It was amazing.

She thought about it so much that the next morning, on Friday @ 7:11 am,

as Dad and Mom were driving to school, a car with the number plate

1618 drove ahead of us.

1618

All the numbers of the day before : 1816.

Yup, the time when Mother Mary appeared to Mom ... on the radio.

It's the car on the right of the bike.

1618

It's not clear, Mom knows ...

but you know what you sent.

1618

Message received.

Two ZAP numbers.

Mother Mary surely and truly came to Mom yesterday

right after Mom visited the grotto.

Nobody ... but nobody can say otherwise.

photo from the internet

On Friday, Good Friday ...

At 3 pm, it started to rain.

Every Good Friday, as far as Mom can remember, it always rains.

Anyways, we were gonna attend mass at 8:30 pm.

Justine finish work at 7 pm, so we were not able to go

for the earlier mass at 6 pm.

Meanwhile, Aunty C from Sydney sent the following 3 photos

in our family chat.

Aunt C says : Mass was packed. (14:46)

Aunt C : Right after mass. (14:47)

Aunt C : Double Rainbow (14:47)

Lord, make me a rainbow,

I'll shine down on my mother ...

(If I Die Young)

Double Rainbow right after Aunt C attended Mass???

So awesome!

That Friday morning, our children in school were drawing

"my family members" ... and Mom asked them to add a rainbow

over them, because it shows happiness.

LOL.

Gotta go. Taking Grandma out for mani and pedi.

Happy Easter, Son.

Continue your ZAPS and watch over us, k?

Hugs,

Mom
