Hello Son,
Sunday, 2:43 am
It's all quiet in the house.
Mom got up and now unable
to go back to sleep.
Good time to call you.
Been so busy at school.
Still, you always find a way to
make your presence felt.
So, you would have heard.
MICHAEL was aired in the cinemas
on April 24.
Dad and Mom went for the movie
on April 25 (Saturday).
U.Chris bought tickets a few days earlier.
Aunty D and the 3 kids will also be going.
Grandma too.
Then, on Friday, April 24, we received
news on Grandma's family chat at 20:26,
that Aunty M (79y) had passed on (in
Butterworth, Penang).
So Grandma followed a relative
to go up to Butterworth by car the next day.
Mom and Dad would take the train up on
Sunday to attend the funeral. It was a 4 hour
train ride from KL to Butterworth.
Grandma did not go for MICHAEL.
The rest of us went for MICHAEL that
Saturday, 25th, Ryan invited his online
video-game buddy to take on
Grandma's ticket.

Fast-forward (after the movie)
O
M
G
It was so so so good!
Mom enjoyed it so much.
Tears rolled down freely,
throughout the movie.
Your mother felt his pain,
his vulnerability, his loneliness,
Why, his greatness touched ...
no, overwhelmed ... her.
The 2 hours and 7 minute movie
was just pure magic for Mom.
During the part where the sacks
of fan letters were brought to MJ's
house, Mom whispered to Aunty D,
"My letter's in there ..."
Haha.
We chuckled in the dark,
your Mom and Aunty D.
Mom have always maintained that
she is Michael Jackson's BIGGEST fan.

Mom would always say, that
MJ knows it too ... because ...
when MJ departed from us,
he chose a date that is connected
to your mother.
Her birthdate.
June 25.
Grin.
Say what you like.
365 days in the calendar in 2009,
and Michael Jackson chose
JUNE 25 to leave for his eternal
paradise.
Now if that's not acknowledgment,
seriously,
what is.
Mom and Dad had attended
Michael Jackson's HIStory World Tour
when MJ was in Malaysia in
October 27 and 29, 1996.
We were at MJ's concert on both days.
Hahaha.
Talk about the biggest fan.
The first day, we were right at the back
of the stadium, that MJ was more like
a small dot to us.
Still, Mom screamed and cried and ...
and did everything MJ's fans do at a his
concert ... and more.
Mom even bought a new pair of
binoculars, just so that she could could see
him clearly.

Hehehe.
On the second day, Mom and Dad were seated
on the second row from the stage.
Dad's aunt was given 2 VIP tickets and
she didn't want to go. She gave us the tickets.
It was unbelievable.
To see MJ up close and personal.
When he made his entrance,
and just
STOOD THERE ...
we lost our minds.
A week later ...
on Sunday, May 10,
Mother's Day ...
Mom, Dad and Grandma attended the
early morning 6:30 am mass.
Mom was not expecting anything.
It was so early.
She went for mass to receive
special blessings for mothers.
The mass proceeded as usual.
Then, the ZAP came.
Just before communion song,
the organist played a tune.
It filled the church and Mom's senses.
It was a familiar tune, a tune that
your mother has not heard for quite
a while.
Mom's breath was caught in her throat.
Omg.
Seriously.
It's Mother's Day.

Of course, her son would ZAP her and
make his presence felt.
In Moments Like These
The tune.
The song that Mom sang to you
in repetitive mode at your last visit
in the hospital and the days at home
thereafter.
In Moments Like These
and
For Those Tears I Died.
Mom sang these two songs to you.
Mom whispered to Dad with the biggest
smile on her face,
"Son is wishing me a Happy Mother's Day ...
In Moments Like These ... hear the tune?"
Dad heard.
He nodded.
Of course, Dad remembers.
That song ...
In Moments Like These ...
and For Those Tears I Died ...
both the songs ...
had carried Mom and Dad through
the most difficult period of our lives.
Thank you, Daniel ....
Mom whispered happily.
Your mother should have known
you would reach out to her today.
Especially today.
Mother's Day.
The mass came to an end.
Father invited all mothers and
grandmothers to stand for the
special blessing on Mother's Day.
Mm went for mass specifically
for that blessing.
After mass, we went to Mother Mary's
grotto to light some candles.
Happy Mother's Day, Mama Mary.

After church, Dad drove us to Gardens Mall.
We took Grandma to a new coffee shop
for breakfast.
It was about 8:15 am.
We were gonna meet Aunty D and family at noon
and have Mother's Day lunch with Grandma.
Mom asked Grandma if she would like to watch
a movie.
Grandma said : NO.
The last few times, the family brought Grandma
to the cinema, Grandma slept and only woke up
when the movie was over. Haha.
Mom asked Dad to get the tickets anyway.
No prizes for guessing which movie we
were gonna see.
Hehehe.
Dad got tickets for the 10:20 am slot.
10:20?
Perfect.
21.
MICHAEL.
For the second time for Mom.
Dad said it should be a mother's day treat.
He didn't want to go.
He went back home instead
and said he would join us later
for lunch, along with Aunty D and family.

The second time around was even more
fantastic for Mom.
First of all, she knew when that ... that ...
slimy pet ... was gonna show and she
had her eyes closed.
Unlike the first time, Mom had let out a
shriek when it appeared. Yikes!
That part should not have been included.
Totally unnecessary.
Oh, and your mother noticed the
car number plate when Michael and
Bill took a drive out.
84
Hah.
That's 21.
Clearly.
More reason to smile.
He's such a wonderful person.
17 years after his passing, he's gonna
make a come back.
Mom is rooting and cheering on
for MICHAEL to surge pass the
$1 billion mark at the global box office!
So for the first time, Grandma did not sleep
in the cinema but watched MICHAEL
from beginning to end.
Haha.
Talk about being star-strucked.
Anyway, Mom and Dad went to see
MICHAEL
again yesterday (Saturday 16th).
Mom's 3rd time.
This time Mom recalled
the Daniel that was mentioned
in the scene with MJ and John Branca
with the MTV boss is :
Charlie Daniels
Mom still found tears flowing freely
down her cheeks during the show.
So anyway ...
Last week, Mom came across a
video that has the title :
Mom took a snapshot of the title so she would
not lose the video.
In it, MJ was in London at the time, and happened
to pick up a fan letter. He normally does not read
fan letters as his team of people will filter MJ's mails
for him.
However, for some reason,
MJ picked up that simple envelope that morning.
It was a letter from an 11 year old boy from
Liverpool.
His name was Daniel.
A million names that could have been the boy's
name, but it had to be your name.
Daniel.
He was a sick boy. In hospital.
He wanted MJ to know that MJ's songs made
him happy. He was supposed to go for MJ's concert
but he was too sick to attend.
Mom had taken a snapshot of this when she watched
the video last week..
Mom sent that photo to her gmail, so she could
download and upload onto her blog here.
Your mother's eyes widened when she saw
the time the mail/attachment was received.
4.08 am
It that not 84???
21
ZAP ZAP ZAP!!!
Thank you, Son for always making sure
Mom knows you are near.
Will stop here.
Need to go back to bed.
Nite nite.
Mom
xoxo
