CALL 603 : FREE MARBLE

Hello Son,

Sunday Mass just ended.

Online.

Dad and Mom have not attended church since lockdown on March 18th till now.

There is a spike in Covid cases these past few days.

The Year of the Rat is certainly making its presence felt.

Bad, bad rats.

Dirty, germ-spreading rats.

Honestly, we can't wait for the Rat Year to be over.

Next year, will be the Ox Year.

It's Dad's year ... next year.

Hardworking, sturdy, reliable, trustworthy ...

These are the traits that would stand out next year.

No more spreading of rat's germs.

The world is in a definite need of the Ox's gifts of superhuman strength mind, body and spirit.

Yup, the 2021 Ox should just appear quickly and crush the 2020 Rats to microscopic pieces.

Would that be right to assume, Son?

Is this how it's gonna work?

The cycle just ... goes ... and we see and experience a different view at each ...

umm ...

angle ...

like on a Ferris wheel.

Anyway, that aside ...

Mom has been wanting to tell You about this incident which happened about 3 weeks ago.

Sept 14, to be exact.

A few days before Sept 14, Mom was looking to buy a marble.

It was for the children in school.

It was Revision week and one of the Science experiments was on FLOAT / SINK.

The teacher had gathered all the required items needed ... except for the marble.

We did not have one in school.

So anyway, Dad and Mom were at a nearby DIY store.

Aunty D came with us.

It was lunch hour.

Aunty D was with us.

After a quick lunch, we went to the DIY store.

Dad said we should find marbles at the shelves where they display rocks for home aquariums.

Oh yes, Mom seemed to remember seeing packets of marbles at that section.

To cut a long story short, there were no marbles in sight.

Not at that rock section, or anywhere else in the big, huge DIY.

Dad asked one of the workers and was told it was OUT OF STOCK.

Huh.

Why would be marbles be out of stock??

We walked out of the DIY store ... went down the escalator ...

and happened to stop by a Flowers & Gift shop.

Aunty D and Mom walked in ... and started browsing around.

Suddenly, Aunty D exclaimed, "Hey, how about this?" as she held out a metal looking round ball (slightly bigger in size compared to a normal marble).

Mom looked at it and thought that metal ball could pass as a marble

It would be good for the the SINK and FLOAT experiment.

Mom asked the lady in the shop for the price.

The lady said, "Only one?"

Mom replied, "Yes, only one."

There was only one in that shallow bowl anyway ... the rest were colourful rocks. It was the only ball in that bowl of rock, and that was how Aunty spotted it.

The shop lady informed, "RM10."

What??? RM10 for one small ball??

Mom started, "We only one this one ball? RM2 ok?"

Your mother's negotiation skills were not appreciated.

The shop lady showed her annoyance, both in her face and in her voice as she retorted,

"RM2?? Cannot buy anything with RM2 ... It's RM10 ..."

Mom tried her persuasion skills,

"There's only one here ... We only want one ... It's your last one ..."

(With RM10, you could get 2 packs of 20 marbles each).

What a rip off.

The lady almost snorted as she maintained her price.

Mom decided she did not want to have that marble that badly.

She wasn't that desperate.

The children will just have to imagine the marble s-i-n-k-i-n-g in the experiment.

Oh well ... your mother has had worse days.

This is not one of them.

We went home without the marble.

A few days later ...

Sept 14 ...

Mom was in school when she received a text from Aunty D.

Aunty D sent the above photo with an audio message at 4:59 pm :

"Is this weird ... suddenly this marble fell off from Megan's bed ...

and she doesn't know where it came from ..."

Pause.

Aunty D had said there were no marbles in the house. She did not buy marbles for her kids because they are a choking hazard.

Mom replied : OMG ... talk about weird ...

Aunty D texted back : Yah, it's really weird ... I asked her (Megan) and she said right, when she came home from school, she doesn't know how, but there was a marble in her shirt (uniform) pocket.

Aunty D continued : Of course when she went to school, there was nothing in her uniform pocket. OMG ... It's so weird ... and she didn't know what it was until just now, it rolled out from her pocket and onto the floor ... and I saw it ... and actually she said, it fell from the sky ...

Mom replied : OMG ... I mean, we were looking everywhere for a marble ... and you also know it right ... OMG I can't believe this.

Aunty D said, "That's what I told her also ... I was like OMG, where did you get that? And then she said why, what's that? I was like, this is a marble, where did you get that from? Teacher Lynn and I are looking for it ... looking for one marble ... and only one marble you know ... she was like, I don't know, it was suddenly in my shirt and it rolled out ... She will pass it to you later ...

Mom replied : OMG Unbelievable.

Aunty D sent another photo :

Aunty D texted : It's a real marble ... I have goosebumps. It's too funny ... really unbelievable ...

I mean, come on ...

How can ONE MARBLE suddenly appear???

And you remember you kept telling that lady, but I only want ONE ... I want ONE MARBLE only ... ONE ...

Mom replied, We were gonna buy ONE MARBLE for RM10 (which we didn't) ... This is like - FREE MARBLE

OMG FREE !!

Aunty D was like : Omilord ...

Mom said : How do we even explain this??

Son, can you explain this? Are You responsible for this? Were You trying to help Mom find a marble?

Mom can almost hear You say, "Here Ma, looking for a marble???"

Hard to believe.

Megan didn't even know what it was. Humph, children these days really do not play with marbles, and would not know one when they see one.

Of all the things Megan could have said, she uttered these, "It fell from the sky."

It just rolled out of her uniform pocket ...

Oh boy ...

CoinciDANS for sure ...

That evening, Megan came to the house to pass that MARBLE to mom.

Megan said, "Here is the marble, Teacher Lynn ... it's orange ... Daniel's colour ..."

OMG ...

The marble has an orange stripe in it.

Silence ...

There are no words to describe how your mother felt at that moment ...

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

Thank you, Son ...

That was surely, surely You ...

There is no explanation.

Mom was looking high and low for a marble ... she couldn't find one ... and You brought one for her.

Simple as that.

A few days later, Mom was in school.

Aunty D came to fetch the kids.

Mom came to the car with Dylan and Ryan.

At the same time, Dad came to us and believe it or not ... he handed Mom a MARBLE ... and said, "Here's a marble ... it was on top of that cone."

Aunty D heard that.

Mom was like -- what??

Totally speechless ... staring at the marble in her hand.

The second time.

Her Son sent her that.

For reinforcement.

Orange cone on top of that ...

To make sure Mom really believes that the first one truly fell from the sky. You know your mother is just thinking and wondering and wondering and thinking if that marble ... the first one ... had anything to do with You ... Hard to believe doesn't mean she doesn't believe it ... but it's nice to have eviDANS.

And so You send her, a second one.

And Dad had to announce that, in front of Aunty D too ... because she is involved.

Gosh, the incidents that she must take notice, always happen in twos.

OMG Son ...

That was super-amazing ... how You make, and always make, your presence felt.

In all the 5 years that we have been operating the kindergarten at this place, we have never come across any marble of any kind ... anywhere ... and all of a sudden .. two appears. Just because Mom was looking for one ... and couldn't find one.

Not one.

And now she has two.

One fell from the sky ... and the other is on top of a cone ... an orange cone.

Like a hill ...

Like the peak ...

Something high ...

Heaven high ...

Thank you, Daniel, for zapping Mom.

Continue to very, very stay close.

We love You so very much.

Hugs and kisses,

Mom
