Call 418 : WITH LOVE

Hello Son,

It's Saturday morning. The time is 7:58 am.

What are You doing today?

Mom's having a nice cup of chamomile tea. Yup, she's definitely trying to relax and stay calm. You know why, right? The concert ... it's in 2 weeks.

Yikes!

There's so much to do ...

Double Yikes!

Will we ever be ready ??? Omg ...

Panic Panic Panic ...

It's been amazing how You are able to make your presence felt at this time to your mother and remind her constantly just how very close You are ... and that You know what's happening ...

Truly ... there's a way for us ... :D

Call 417 : A Way

Two days ago on Thursday, October 25 ...

Mom was driving to school for the evening activities. She had a lot on her mind ... Oh, You know ... all the this and thats ... she still had not been able to get the lei set for the Bambi kids. She specifically wanted the flowers for the neck and hands ... many of the shops that she had checked only had the flowers for the neck. Anyway, Grandma and her had gone to this costume accessories shop in town 2 weeks back, found a set on display (yeah, just one miserable set which colour was also faded) and we had informed the shop person to call us when the new stock come in ... which she had assured could be at any day then.

As Mom was driving out of the condo, and onto the main road, she found herself thinking ...

and thinking ...

and thinking ...

when she suddenly realized that she was driving behind this vehicle ...

Photo taken at 4:46 pm

A smile appeared on her face. You must have seen that, huh?

Quickly, she took her cell and snapped a photo.

1324 ???

Why, that's a clear 1234 ... for her.

She sang out loud, her hand on the steering, her eyes on the number plate in front of her.:D

There's only 1 way

2 say

Those 3 words

4 You --uuu

I love You

She remembers how You used to sing this song, with your finger actions and all. How is it that your voice is so much louder now that you're not around? You used to drive your sister nuts when You stick your fingers in front of her face. Chuckle.

Sigh ...

What Mom would give to hear You sing 1234 I Love You again, Son.

WLD ... She noted the letters on the number plate. Why, that's so easy ...

With Love, Daniel ... :D

Awww Son ...

There's only one thing though ...

Her Doubting Thomas' one teeny weeny itsy bitsy shred of uncertainty somehow managed to creep into her veins. Is this a coincidence ... or is it a coinciDANS?

If this zap is from You, Daniel Phua, there must be two ... Mom sent a direct telepathic sms straight to um, Heaven.

There must be two ...

Still I say, there's a way for us ... she found herself humming softly as she was driving out on to Jalan Klang Lama. Everything was just quite normal ... until this vehicle swerved into her lane ... like ... on cue.

Oh My Gosh ...

You don't say ...

Photo taken at 4:50 pm

WLD 777 ???

Decode : With Love, Daniel 21 ...

Holy Mackerel ...

Are we allowed to say Holy Mackerel?

Mom had to laugh ...

Boy oh boy oh boy ...

It's really You, Daniel ... It's really really You ... You're right beside Mom, aren't You? How could Mom doubt that? Her defence?

Well, she's ... human ... and as we all know, humans tend to have an ocean of doubts ... about every darn thing. Besides if we were not supposed to have doubts, this word would not have been created.

Smile.

It's Me la, Ma ... WL, Daniel 21 ... :D

What did Mom tell You? There's a way for us ... she sang the line happily.

What are the chances? No chance whatsoever. Oh Oh Oh, by the way, did You notice but the second vehicle came into the scene 4 minutes later ... That tells a lot, huh.

So anyway, that happened on Thursday 25th.

Yesterday, Friday 26th ... Omg ... once again, You leave your mother breathless with your presence.

By the way, before Mom tells You about the inciDANS on Friday, let her just mention here that she received a call from the shop-girl (the costume accessory shop) on Thursday late evening and was told that the new stock that came in, are only flowers for the neck ... no flowers for the hands ... She asked if Mom wanted them ...

On hindsight now ...

Mom surprised herself by calmly telling her no and that she would continue to check elsewhere. You must have whispered to your mother.

Don't worry, Ma ... I'll show You where to get them ...

Call 417 : A WAY

Hello Son,

You know what ...

Something awesome happened last night after Mom published Call 416 : 33rd Month.

She posted that Call at 12:18 am (Sunday morning).

Then, Mom went to Dad, sat with him and asked him how his trip down south was. We were talking for a bit when she happened to stand up at one point, as Dad was still talking, reached for her cell, clicked it on, took a peek and saw that it was :

12:23 am ... which turned to 12:24 am ... before her eyes.

Mom stared for only a brief moment, before giving an excited shriek and showing her cell to Dad.

She was like, "Omg look ... it's 12:24 ... it was 12:23 when I saw it first and it turned to 12:24 ... What are the chances? Omg ... I just told him in my call that there's a way for us ... I wrote a caption under a picture of a girl trying to get a signal from the sky ... Still I say, there's a way for us ... it's part of the lyrics of ON MY OWN ... and you see? He's zapping me ... He's zapping me ... He's got my message alright ... He's saying, there's a way for us, Ma ... there's a way for us ... Aww Son ..."

Dad listened and smiled.

"It's his 33rd month today ... of course he'd zap us ..." she continued quietly ... happily. It's good that these zap moments happens when she has a witness because otherwise it is difficult to relate the inciDANS later on.

12:24 ...

December 24 ... Your birth date ...

There's a way for us, Ma ... :D

She's sure You must have whispered into her ears to check her mobile right at that moment. She wouldn't have gotten the timing so perfect ON HER OWN.

So anyway, we went to sleep ... it was past midnight. Remember?

This morning, we left the house about 10 am.

We were on the way to your garden. Mom prepared her cell to camera mode to get ready for any eviDANS that might cross her path. It was your 21st. She wanted to be ready for any zap that You were gonna send her. She held her cell in her hand and sat in her seat, looking quite alert.

Grin.

All the cars were moving fast paced today for some reason.

We soon reached town.

Mom sighed, and put down her cell.

She mumbled to Dad, "Nothing so far ..."

Then, shortly after, there was a loud siren ... it was a police car ... the vehicles on the road began to slow down, and suddenly, Mom noticed this zap number staring at her face.

Omg ...

Would You believe this?

Mom yelped in excitement as she grabbed her cell to take a photo.

The vehicle was in front of us for quite awhile ...

She had to laugh.

Oh boy ...

You're funny, Son ...

Take your time, Ma ... :D

Chuckle ...

12:24 ...

Two times ... and in the most unexpected way ...

Hmmm ... Just when she'd put down her cell and decided that she wouldn't be getting any zaps at the time, one was literally handed to her on a plate.

Pause.

She knows what You're about to say next.

She should have more faith, huh.

Okay okay ... She's working on that ...

So anyway, we arrived at your garden at 10:44 am.

You must have seen Justine posing with your flowers ...

Justine put on Tong Hua at the garden and we were singing that song aloud.

Did You hear us?

You must have ... cos there were lots of tiny ants just scampering all over the place today.

We left the garden about an hour later.

Your sister said she wanted to have dim sum. We drove there ...

Dad parked. We walked over to the restaurant, which was about 30 walking steps away from the car. Half way there, Mom spotted a parked white car with the number plate 21.

She pointed it out to Justine. She could have taken a photo but she didn't. Oh well, she has a witness. :D

Truly, everywhere we are, there You'll be ...

We feel your presence, Daniel ... always ... all the time ...

Even on her own ... all by herself ... she knows her son's right there ...

God is good to us ...

Yeah, there is a way for us ...

Thank You Jesus  for that ... because of the Cross, You are alive and safe with Jesus. :D

Your 33rd month today ...

Mom's keeping count ...

Nite Son ... going to bed now. Keep the zaps coming kay.

Love you ...

Call 416 : 33rd MONTH

Hello Son,

Thinking about You on your 33rd month with Jesus and Mother Mary in heaven.

Mom saw Les Miserables in London some 25 years ago.

Never thought her favourite song in that play could ring true for her some day in the future then.

Be careful what we sing, huh ...

Enjoy Son ...

We're going to your garden in the morning.

It's midnight Sunday 21st.

We love You so very much ...

Mom

 Still I say, there's a way for us ...

Les Miserables

And now I'm all alone again nowhere to turn, no one to go to
without a home without a friend without a face to say hello to
And now the night is near
Now I can make believe he's here

Sometimes I walk alone at night
When everybody else is sleeping
I think of him and then I'm happy
With the company I'm keeping
The city goes to bed
And I can live inside my head

On my own
Pretending he's beside me
All alone
I walk with him till morning
Without him
I feel his arms around me
And when I lose my way I close my eyes
And he has found me

In the rain the pavement shines like silver
All the lights are misty in the river
In the darkness, the trees are full of starlight
And all I see is him and me forever and forever

And I know it's only in my mind
That I'm talking to myself and not to him
And although I know that he is blind
Still I say, there's a way for us

I love him
But when the night is over
He is gone
The river's just a river
Without him
The world around me changes
The trees are bare and everywhere
The streets are full of strangers

I love him
But every day I'm learning
All my life
I've only been pretending
Without me
His world would go on turning
A world that's full of happiness
That I have never known

I love him
I love him
I love him
But only on my own

Call 415 : MATH TEST

Hello Son,

THURSDAY, OCT 11

Wow Son ... something really awesome happened in school on Thursday.

Mom's still in awe of the inciDANS. :D

Honestly, how do You do it?

It's just too amazing ...

So ...

Give her a minute ... let her catch her breath and think for a moment how best to tell You. Pay attention and listen carefully to what your mother has to say because this is truly incredible. Let her start first by saying ...

O     m     g ...

Mom was in school.

The children were gonna have their Math assessment paper that morning. Child A and B came early. She called them both over to the two desks by the window, and gave them each a set of test papers.

Child A was on her left, Child B on her right and she was sitting in the middle of them.

She asked them to write down their names.

Child A wrote his name.

Child B wrote her name.

She smiled inwardly.

Good good.

So far so good.

Clever kids. She's so proud of them. They're just so bright.

She turned to the left and asked Child A, "Can you write the numbers from 10 to 20?"

Child A said, "Yes ..." and proceeded to fill in the blanks, writing slowly and carefully.

She turned to Child B on her right and asked her to do the same thing.

Child B started to write the numbers.

She leaned back against the kiddie's chair, folded her hands against her chest, and waited patiently for them to finish page 1. By the way, the two desks are separated. Mom was seated in the middle of them and they are not able to see each others work at any material time.

When Child A was done, he sat back, and said, "Teacher Lynn, finish ..."

She gave him a smile, reached for his paper, saying, "Very good ... let's have a look ..."

And she looked ...

And held her breath ...

And stared ... before releasing a slow exhale of ...

Oh --- My --- Gosh ...

She saw it instantly.

Pause ...

Was - that - a - coincidence ...

or was it a coinciDANS ... she wondered to herself, feeling that familiar tinge of exhilaration that was starting to pound in her veins. First thing in the morning, she gets a little sign that her son is near. Evey day, You remember to ZAP Mom, Daniel ... Not one day go by without You telling Mom that you're right beside her. :D

Take a look at the Math paper.

Taken at 8:41 am : Child A's paper ... See the 21?

ZZZZAP ZAP ZAP ...

Taking out her mobile, she quickly snapped a photo. Had it been any other number that was wrongly written, she would have asked the child to just -- erase it ... but ... helloooo ...

21???

You must be near ... :D Mom thought happily as she turned over to page 2 and asked him to count the objects and match them to the correct numbers.

Meanwhile, Child B was done with that same page one.

Mom took B's paper, gave her a big smile and praised her, "Very good B ... clever girl ..."

She gave it a quick glance, before finding herself gasping in disbelief, as her hand flew over her mouth.

Omg ...

You have gotta be kidding ...

Oh my gosh ...

What are the chances???

Taken at 8:42 am : Child B's paper ... See the 21?

Mom stared at the paper ... can You blame her ... before snapping a photo.

Oh boy oh boy oh boy ... left and right of her ... Number 21???

Oh gee wow ...

Two times ...

Two times means ...

TAKE NOTICE ...

I'm right here, Ma ... :D

Honestly, what are the chances of the two children writing this number 21 (wrongly) at the same time?

No chance ...

No chance at all ...

Angel chance ...

Mom was all smiles that morning. She continued to test the other children, two at a time, by the window. Meanwhile, Justine was doing some activity with the other children at the whiteboard.

So anyway, to go straight to the next ZAP point, Mom called Child C.

Child C was late that morning, and was the last student to take the Math test that Thursday.

Mom went through the same instructions.

Child C picked up her pencil, like she couldn't wait to write. Mom watched her write confidently, the number eleven ... and then ...

Gasp ...

Omgosh ...

Taken at 10:55 am : Child C ... See the 21?

Stopping C abruptly, Mom questioned, "Is that how you write number twelve, C?"

C immediately picked up her eraser (see her left hand in the photo above) and was about to erase the number ...

Mom stopped her.

"Wait wait wait ... " your mother said, before taking her cellphone out to snap a photo. :D

Grin ... Let's not forget the eviDANS ... :D

After C completed page one, we proceeded to page 2. Counting and matching.

It was on page 3, when Child C once again wrote 21, instead of the number 12. It was a question on addition with objects. She had miscounted.

The answer was 13, but she said "twelve" as she wrote 21 in the answer box.

Pause ...

Oh my goodness.

You have so gotta be kidding her ...

This time however, Mom did not take a photo. She forgot.

She had reached for the eraser too quickly, and had erased the mistake even more quickly, instructing C to count again - slowly - frankly she was a bit horrified that one of her star pupils did not know how to write the number 12.

This is her Kumbayah girl.

Yes, the Kumbayah girl ... that same girl who had said, she lived "far, far away" when your mother asked her where she lives ... once upon a time.

Remember the inciDAN?

Mom's told You about it ... about a year ago.

Yeah ... far, far away ...

That's where YOU live ...

Oh wow ... she had thought to herself in wonderment.

Imagine that ...

At the starting of the test, and at the end of the test, yes yes yes ... at BOTH times, mind You, she encountered the number 21 TWO times.

Take notice ???

Correction : Take double notice ???

Oh ... Oh yes ...

She did ...

She did ...

Of course, she did ... take precise notice ... :D

Omg ...

You really are with Mom from the beginning of the day (or an activity) right to the end, aren't You? :D

Yes, Mom cannot help but notice that the zaps are normally in that fashion.

After school, whilst the kids were taking their nap, Mom went home ... to take off her contact lens. After having some fruits with yogurt, she rested a bit before going back to school about 4 pm.

In school ...

Everything was as normal as normal could be ...

The full day kids were engaged in evening activities.

Mom called X, a bright 3 year old girl, and practiced reading with her.

After that, Mom  asked Teacher A, "Has P done his reading today?"

Teacher A said "Not yet."

Mom picked up a reading book of P's level, called him over to her, and sat him down before the book.

Okay, before she goes on, let her tell You first that normally, Mom does not read with P. She normally reads with the older kids, and leave the teacher to handle the younger children. Today however, unknown to her why at the time, she chose to read with 3 year old X, and then the 4 year old P.

Before P started the, he lamented, "I can't read this ..."

Mom said, "Of course you can ... let's try ..."

P started ... saying the words that he knew out loud, and the ones he didn't, she made him spell out, say the phonetic sound before helping him with the word.

When he came to page 10 (by the way, this is the Peter and Jane series), he pointed to the page number at the top left on the left side of the book, and said out loud, "Page 10 ..."

Mom nodded, "Yes, you see? You're at page 10 already ... clever boy ... go on ..."

He continued to read page 10 ...

After page 10, he turned over a new page, pointed to the page number at the top and said, "Page 12 ..."

Mom suddenly found herself sitting up right.

Of course she heard him.

It was loud and clear to her ears.

Page 12 ...

Page 12???

Pause ...

Is this going somewhere? Why, this morning has been nothing but numbers 12 and 21 interchanged.

She watched P. It was kinda strange that he did not refer to any of the page numbers earlier. He only started at page 10. Mom was not at all prepared for what would happen next.

He continued to read a few more pages ...

Then, suddenly he stopped, turned to his left, raised his right hand to swat at ... at ... something ... in the air. Imagine him like, swatting a fly or insect with his hand. He did that a few times.

Mom could see nothing.

She asked, "What are you doing, P? Go on ... read the next line ..."

P was then looking ... kinda ... up in the air, on his left side. Again, he raised his right hand to swat down something --- invisible.

P said, "There's an ant flying, Teacher Lynn ..."

Mom couldn't help but smile at his serious-looking face.

She said, "P, ants don't fly ... You mean, mosquitoes ..."

Wait a minute ...

Mosquitoes???

Her Einstein brainwave went into full drive. Only You would know why ...

P's eyes were focused in mid air, kinda at the same spot.

He insisted, "It's a big ant flying, Teacher Lynn ..."

He moved both hands in front of him in an oval shape, to signify his version of "big."

She watched him in amusement. He was still trying to swat the invisible flying - ant down. His face was intense and expression, quite determined. :D

Finally, she said, tongue in cheek, "Is the ant waving at you?"

P replied ... easily, seriously and quite naturally, "No, it's waving at you, Teacher Lynn ..."

H-Huh ?

He made that remark like it was the most natural thing to say. Then, he looked down on his page and started reading the next line. The flying-ant was forgotten.

Mom stared at him. She looked down on his book, and suddenly noticed that he was on page 24.

Omg ...

24?

Your birth date?

ZAP ZAP ZAP.

A flash enlightenment shot through her, as she was suddenly reminded about the DAN THE ANT inciDAN.

See Call 403 (Huge Ants) & Call 404 (Power Cut) where the ant inciDAN all started ... :D

Oh gosh. Honestly, You really are with Mom, aren't You, Daniel? Peter and Jane books do not print odd number pages, by the way. And so, it had to be page 24 ... since there is no page 21 in print.

Omg ... How incredible.

As P read on, Mom watched him, trying to freeze that heart-warming zap moment that had just passed only seconds ago. She remembered that earlier on this Monday, P had come to school, and to her office, announcing to her that he had moved to a new apartment, and that his home number is "Number 12."

She had acknowledged that with a big smile and a nod, echoing, "Number 12?"

P had confirmed, "Yes, number 12, Teacher Lynn ..."

That was all ... She had not thought anything about it after that ... till right then.

Oh wow ...

How incredible.

See the familiar pattern?

Get the attention first, and then when focus is on You, bring on the ZAP ZAP ZAP. :D

That evening at home ...

Mom sat Dad and Justine down on the sofa, and told them everything that happened that day. From the test papers to the flying ant. It was just so amazing to tell them about the inciDANS. Good thing Mom took photos of the test papers.

VOICES was on telly at the time. Mom was not really watching the show, although she was eating her dinner before the telly. Then, just when she least expected it ... the song EVERY BREATH YOU TAKE ... came on.

Mom said to Dad excitedly, "Hey, Every Breath ... I'll be watching You ... I just told You about what Son did today ... and he says ..."

I'll be watching You ... :D

That's the song we dedicated to You on your 32nd month. See the (currently) top video on the left panel of the blog.

CoinciDANS???

Oh, oh definitely!

Happy Grin ...

Pause ...

Grin some more ...

Andddd Cut.

Call 413 : AND CUT

Hello Son,

Monday, October 1

Dad was outstation.

Justine and Mom were having dinner before the television. There were no good shows on the telly. So Mom went to the open partition shelf cupboard ... what a mouth full ... (You know which one Mom's referring to  right) ... to check out the DVDs that we have that we have not seen, and came across one that caught her eyes ... quite, quite instantly ...

Letters To God.

Pause ...

Letters To God ...

Like ... Calls to God?

Now why have we not watch this movie? She would definitely be able to relate to this movie, since she's constantly calling God ... and bugging God ... to allow her to speak to her Son, in her case. God has human emotions, she believes, since we are all made in the image of God ... if we have emotions, God has them too ...

Does He, Daniel?

Oh, what is she saying ...

Of course He does. How else could He love us so unconditionally if not?If at first He says NO, pester and pester again ... :D

Anyway, now that she's stumbled upon that DVD, she remembers Dad buying it but cannot remember why we have put it aside and have not watched it ...

Mom said, "There's Letters To God ... Shall we put this on?"

Justine replied lazily, "Yeah okay ..."

And so we put it on ...

It is about a young boy, named Tyler, who has brain cancer ... he was 8 year old ... of course, of all the illness that he could have had, it had to be the same one that You had ... You were 7 years old ... close enough?

Mom watched ... without any emotion ...

Then came the character Daniels ...

Pause ...

Mom heard it ... Justine heard it ...

Daniel?

What???

You're kidding right? Gosh, a million names the scriptwriters could have chosen, and they chose this name?

Brady McDaniels, the temporary postman ... the local postman went on an extended vacation and McDaniels was hired to replace him temporarily ...

Yes, yes ... Mom sees the transition ... that familiar interception or intervention, if you want to call it ...

Like ...

Hello ... You --- You move aside ...

And You --- You come in ...

That's how God works ...

Yeah, that's what God does when He's about to ... to ... orchestrate ... a masterpiece of some sort. Many, many times, she's seen this ... how God puts all the right people in place for her ... to ... to ... get through a scene ... at times, when she knows she no longer has the energy to carry on the part before her, she would hear Him holler,

"And CUT ... " :D

You could say God's like the director ... and we are only His actors ... His players taking only but a small role in His BIG, BIG PLAN ...

You know the PLAN now, don't You?

The Master Plan ???

Which brings Mom to this song ... in JOSEPH, KING OF DREAMS ...

You remember this cartoon movie, don't You?

You've got to give a little more than you take

You've got to leave a little more than was here

You may be prideful of the strides you will make

But keep one thing clear

You're just a player in a much bigger plan

And still you have to give it all that you can

The very measure of your soul is at stake,

You've got to give a little more than you take

She noticed the --- style ... God's style ...

So anyway ... where were we?

The movie ... Letters To God ...

As Mom was saying, she watched the movie without a care in the world.

She did not feel sad or tearful, or ... or ... anything ... for that matter ...

At first ...

Scene after scene, You would have seen your mother sitting on the sofa, witnessing the story enfold, without any expression ... she sat there like a cold stone ... a cold tomb stone, she might add ... some parts stirring memories of what You and your family had gone through ... and others, she watched with no emotion whatsoever.

Yeah, she could relate ... of course she could relate ... each dark moment was so HUGE at the time, so darn HUGE that we could not see past it, not over it, not under it, and definitely not through it ... so totally solid and impenetrable those dark moments were ... but as time went on, (like some 32 months later at the time of this call) she has learned to see and classify the experience as a tiny dot of a mustard seed against a much bigger plan that God has ...

So there ...

You must be whispering to Mom now and then to comfort her. All your daily zaps are evident that You are right beside her. Knowing that You are well and happy and very much alive and kickin' with JESUS and MAMA MARY in Heaven (Yes, your zaps tell a lot :D), fuels your mother with the strength and energy to ...

GO ON ...

and GET ON ...

and MOVE ON ... always with the sure knowledge that You are by her side.

GOD's PLAN is good, Ma ... All good ... :D

Pause ...

Okay Son, if You say so ... You would know ...

Oh, she's sure the PLAN is good and flawless ...

It's God's Plan, for Heaven's sakes ... and while we are at this, let's just make one thing clear :

God does not make mistakes ... remember that ...

Grimace ...

So anyway, at one point, during the movie, Justine left to take as a shower ... You must have whispered to her to leave the room, so your mother could be alone for the following scene that would tear her down and break her down and shatter her to her very soul.

Aiyoh Ma, you're so dramatic ...

It was at the bedroom scene when the Tyler boy said to his mother,

"God picked You to be my mother ..."

That line did it for her.

She's not sure now if those were the EXACT words ... but it was something to that effect.

Hearing those words, your mother instantly broke down, bawled her eyes out, covering her sobs and crying into the cushion in an attempt not to make a sound ... and remember feeling very grateful that she was quite alone at the time ... your sister having taken off earlier ... and the maid was in her room. Dad was outstation.

Was she really alone?

Oh, physically maybe ...

Spiritually, never ...

Anddddd CUT !!!
