Hello Son,
Wed, Jan 24, 2024
Today, Dad and Mom went to Gardens Mall.
Yup, we are always at the mall .... to walk walk walk.
Mom needs to get one of those smart watches
that tell how many steps she has done in a day.
Grin.
Should be 10,000.
It was mid morning, which meant parking
is not easy to find. Yet, right in front of the
entrance to the mall, we saw a car was reversing
out. No other car was nearby, so obviously,
that empty bay was for us.
Thanks Son.
What nice feeling to be able to find a nice
parking spot.
Mom forgot to check the number plate,
of that car. When she did, it was a bit too late.
The car was out of sight.
Sigh.
It could have been a ZAP car there.
Now, your mother will never know.
Still ...
At that lunch hour, and we found a
parking easily, clearly her son was with her.
So there.
We parked.
We went in to the mall.
It was barely 2 minutes, when a ZAP ZAP
happened.
We were walking by The Chicken Rice Shop ...

Suddenly, Mom noticed a couple ...
okay, a guy and a girl ...
who were wearing matching t-shirts ...
with a large number 24 on their tees.
OMG.
BIG HUGE Number 24 24.
Both of them were wearing identical tees.
Mom nudged Dad.
OMG.
See.
"Two 24 ... 2424 ...
First Prize, remember?"
Your birthday, and Dad's birthday.
2424.
Mom was not able to take a photo
as both of them turned into the eatery.
They were just right-in-front-of-us.
Why wasn't she ready with her camera???
Oh well.
2424.
Son is near.
That's for sure.
We went to Oriental Kopi.

No prizes for guessing.
The line was not too long today.
Still, we waited for about 5 minutes before
we were asked to go in ,,, there was a table
for 2 pax.
Yup, we cut the line.
Did you do something there, Son?
The waiter brought your parents to this table.
Table 48.
Mom had to smile.

ZAP ZAP ZAP!!!
Both you.
All you.
Always you.
Thanks Son, for always reminding us
that you are near.
11:39 am |
Dad and Mom ordered our usual drinks.
Dad, iced coffee and Mom, iced tea.
The best.
Seriously.
Why do you think we are always at this coffee shop?
Dad also ordered a mee hoon with fried chicken.
We shared that.
Mom is trying to cut down.
Hehe.
We ordered take-away for Grandma.
Mom had asked Grandma whether
she wanted chicken rice or chee
cheong fun.
Grandma said BOTH.
Haha.
Good appetite.
After our brunch, we walked over to MR DIY.
Mom wanted to get some plastic eggs for school.
We are doing this egg craft and we do not have
enough eggs.
We are having Kopitiam Breakfast
activity in school on Friday 26th.
So the children are doing egg crafts.
At Mr DIY, Mom went to the toy section.
Dad wanted to stop by the hardware shop.
At the toys area, would you believe it but Mom
saw this.
Oh boy, only ONE pack of eggs left hanging on the
shelf.
Thank goodness, there was one for Mom.
And easily seen too.
She didn't have to hunt for them.
Nice.
With the eggs in her hand, Mom said
she was ready to go back. We have to
pass the take-away food for Grandma
for her lunch.
So, Dad and Mom walked to the car.
There was a car waiting just beside
our car at the bay. The lady signalled
and mouthed, "Going out?"
Mom said yes.
The lady broke into a smile.
She was probably relieved too to
have easily found a nice parking
during peak hour.
Dad reversed out.
Mom caught sight of the number plate
of the car driving in to our bay.
Mom said aloud:

ZAP ZAP ZAP!!!
All you.
So weird that the car waited by our side
to go in when we came out. It was exactly
that when we arrived, and the car in the
bay reversed out for us to go in.
Strange.
3,000 parking bays.
And we had the same car wait and car
go at that bay two times?
It was no coinciDANS that when we came,
the car in the bay was reversing out. Had
we come into the mall just 10 seconds
earlier, we would have drove past.
Timing is everything.
Yes Son, that was you, arranging
for a spot for Dad. And when Mom
wasn't sure ... you arranged for the
same scenario for Mom's benefit.
Chuckle.
Got it.
You are always by our side.
We drove back home.
Grandma said she wanted to go to the bank.
So, we picked her up and went to the bank.
She was having some problems with the
online banking and was unable to do transact
successfully since she was overseas.
14:25 pm |
Aunt D dropped Ryan at the bank
after school since we were all there.
Ryan did his homework whilst
waiting for Grandma.
14:57 pm |
It was more than an hour before
Grandma was done with her problem.
The photo above at 14:25 pm was taken
about 20 minutes later.
The officer really took the time to explain
to Grandma about the online banking.
Step by step.
Very patiently.
Again and again.
Oh my.
You must have arranged for that
officer to handle Grandma.
15:21 pm |
We were finally done and waiting for Dad
to pick us up.
That evening, at home Dad was doing some
work on the computer when he suddenly
commented, "Hey today is 2424 ..."
24-1-24
Oh ya, we had the 2424 zap all day
the day before too.
Smiling, Mom tuned in to Netflix.
She was gonna catch up with the last episode
of THE TRUST.
She found the show, and paused at the new
episode 8, (waiting for Dad and Justine),
when she found herself taking note of
the title :
Mom stared at the word on the TV screen.
She read the words slowly.
First, to herself.
Second, to herself again, heart pacing.
Third, she had to take a photo.
Good darn eviDANS here.
Fourth, she yelled it out to Dad.
She must have a witness.

The Trust.
Episode 8. (That's 44 to her)
The End of the Rainbow.
Trust ...
44 ...
Rainbow ...
OMG.
Seriously.
Wow Wow Wow Daniel.
Message so received by Mom.
We must TRUST for sure.
44 ... your angel number.
Rainbow ... always you.
Everywhere we are, there you'll always be.
Dad is waiting for Mom to get ready.
We are going to the Komune park.
Keep the ZAPS coming, Daniel.
We love you and miss you so very much.
xoxo
