Hello Son,
Here are some photos taken on
Friday June 24th.
Grandma celebrated her birthday at the Redbox Karaoke on June 25th,
which is Mom's birthday.
So, our family celebrated Mom's birthday a day earlier.
On Friday 24th.
This year, Mom felt like she celebrated her birthday twice.
Dad cooked his famous Hainanese Chicken Rice
and winter melon soup with ribs.
Aunty C ordered monster prawns with noodles.
Megan wrote a secret message for Mom. |
Justine's boyfriend brought a crate of durians. |
OMG Chocolate Cake ... |
from Nutmeg, Bangsar. |
Dad's fragrant chicken rice. |
The chicken rice was OMG - totally awesome. |
The sambal -- too die for. Seriously, super delicious. |
Mouth-watering monster prawns & noodles. |
We used paper plates to avoid all the washing. |
How pretty is our dinning table? |
Takes our breath away. :D |
Aunt J and Uncle C enjoyed Dad's cooking. |
Justine and K look so happy together. |
Uncle C says ... |
This is the way to eat chicken rice (flood the rice with chilli). |
OMG. The prawns. Out of this world. Hands-down. |
K patiently decorates the dish with cucumbers. |
Dad's Hainanese Chicken Rice. Absolutely delicious! |
Preparing rice with pandan leaves and chicken stock. |
2 packs of the giant prawns arrived just before dinner time. |
Dad busy in the kitchen. |
Dinner is gonna be awesome. |
Our dinner table is all set up. |
You need to see the photos from bottom here,
to the top ya.
Mom has no time to re-do.
Just realised the order of photos
is terbalik.
There was a small commotion in the middle ...
Hehehe ...
May the good Lord bless ...
(you can't hear the name)
Each one calls Mom a different name ...
from Lynn (Grandma)
to Bun (Dad),
to Mom (Justine)
to Chare (Aunt J, D & C),
to Teacher Lynn (kids)
to Aunty (K)
So, Mom was like ...
Helllo ... ???
May the good Lord bless ... ???
And no one mentions the name?
Hahaahaha.
Good thing Aunt C said,
let's do that part again.
May the good Lord bless
Bun / Mom / Chare / Teacher Lynn / Aunty etc
and
all of us.
Did Jesus hear the song, Daniel?
We sang it twice.
Chuckle.
No blowing of candles.
So fan the candles.
Dinner is served.
We had a durian feast after dinner.
Tuesday, June 28
We went to the Premium Outlets at Genting.
Aunty J and Uncle C took Grandma to the casino.
Dad, Mom and Justine went shopping at the outlet.
See Mom's MCM pink sling bag? Mom's birthday present. |
Aunt C will be going to Australia for a year to do her palliative training.
We sent her some photos of windbreakers and jumpers.
Justine wore a few hats to show Aunty C.
Sales everywhere.
from RM298 down to RM49. |
How not to buy???
Aunt C says no. |
Aunt C says no to all the hats. |
Nice luggage. |
Aunt C said no to new bags too.
We left the store.
Empty-handed.
Obviously, there is no one around us. |
Frogs? |
How about this? |
Justine is also looking for a pair of sneakers. |
Pink shoe? |
Ah, Mom found her shoes. |
So cute. How could one not fall in love with this pair? |
Dad said Mom has to wear covered shoes when riding. |
Mom and Justine bought our shoes.
Felt so good.
Like we accomplished a very important thing today.
And this is how we do it ... |
We go to GODIVA for ice-cream ... |
and afternoon tea. |
Wednesday, June 29

Aunt J and Uncle C will be leaving at 10 pm. |

At the photo studio. Jus, K and Ryan. |
Gosh, so much happened in a short 2 weeks.
We took like hundreds of photos.
Will only upload some here ya.
We are now planning to go to Australia for a short vacation.
Speaking of which, Mom checked with her tourist agent former parent,
how long it would take to apply for a tourist visa for Australia?
Her agent-friend said, "between 5 to 6 weeks."
So anyway, to cut a long story short, Aunt C helped us to submit our application online.
For Dad.
Mom.
And Grandma.
(Aunt C is applying for a working visa.)
Believe it or not, but we got our visas approved within the hour or so.
OMG.
We couldn't believe it.
Thought it was gonna be difficult and a long wait.
So, that was super-amazing.
Definitely had angel's help from up above.
Thanks Son, for always making things work for us down here.
Will talk to you in a bit.
Keep the zaps coming, Son.
Hugs & kisses,
Mom
