Call 619 : SALON PAS

Hello Son,

We celebrated Mother's Day yesterday (Sat) evening.

At hotpot restaurant.

Our first time to this place.

Waited more than an hour to get a table.

When we arrived, we were told we were number 2 on the waiting list.

That's why we waited.

Who knew it would take an hour and fifteen minutes to finally get a table?

But ... it was well worth the wait.

Plus, you sent us a zap.

Nice.

Here are some photos we managed to take whilst tucking in to our food.

3 soups : malat, pork bone & beauty soup (chicken and pumpkin)

Aunty D and Grandma

Aunty C

Mom's bowl. The soup was amazing. Mixture of beauty and malat.

The beauty soup tasted like a weak campbell chicken soup.

Dad on extreme right.

It's hotpot style.

Steamboat way.

So the waiters would come over to bring the individual sets

of meat and vegetables as pre-ordered by Aunty C.

At one point during dinner, one of the waiters came over to the table

with a tofu dish and asked Aunty C, "Has this come to the table already?"

Aunty C and Mom replied, "Yes ..."

The tofu dish came much earlier and we had immediately put it all into the hot pot.

To make space for the tiny table for 9 of us.

6 adults and 3 children.

He asked again, "This came already?"

Aunty C said, "Yes yes ..."

Mom also repeated, "Yes, came already."

The boy said, "Never mind, just take this ..."

Pause.

Say what?

As in FREE?

Hahaha.

But of course.

It's our family dinner.

You would definitely want to make your presence felt.

Especially when it's a special Mother's Day dinner, on top of that.

Our FREE dish.

The day before, on Friday evening, Mom had gone to the pharmacy.

To get a salon pas.

Not sure why her shoulders were aching.

She had bought a pack of 10 patches a few days back, and had used them all.

Each time, dad had helped mom to put 2 patches of the salon pas just below her left shoulder.

So, Mom was at the pharmacy.

Your mother was looking for a 10 patches salon pas box, but apparently there were no more.

They only had 40 and 20 patches.

40 patches is a tad too dramatic, don't you think?

So mom took the 20 patch box, and went to the cashier.

The last time Mom used one of this was like, a year ago.

So anyway, at the cashier, a second girl at the same counter,

presented your mother with these 2 packs.

The girl said, "Two packs for you. Free."

Free ???

Pause for the words to sink in.

Say what?

The cashier repeated, "It's salon pas. Free two packets for you."

Oh boy, Son.

Your mother has a shoulder ache and you're sending two packs of salon pas to her?

Smile.

What would you think of next?

The cashier said, "Eight ringgit."

Eyebrows raised.

The other day, your mother paid RM3.50 for a pack of 10.

Eight ringgit? (RM8)

8???

Decode : 44

Mom took a closer look at the receipt and saw :

21.

Like 3x.

Omg.

ZAP ZAP ZAP.

Her angel numbers.

That's you, alright.

Thank you, Daniel.

You really do know what's going on down here, don't you?

Mom made cupcakes for Mother's Day.

This would be your mother's second time at attempting cupcakes.

She used the easy way.

Ready mixed packet.

Betty Crocker.

First batch of 6 turned out crispy on the top.

Quick, put on the frosting to cover the flaws.

Cheese vanilla frosting.

Don't play.

Dad adjusted the temperature and

second batch of 4 turned out pretty nice.

We have that icing piping thingy for the frosting,

but Mom just used a butter knife to spread the frosting.

Don't forget the rainbow sprinklers.

Please wish Mama Mary

a Happy Mother's Day

from all of us back home.

Need to go change now.

Dad is taking Mom out for lunch.

After lunch, she is going for a facial.

Watch over Justine and the family.

Stay close and keep the zaps coming, Daniel.

Hugs,

Mom
