CALL 778 : BLESSED 21

Hello Son,

Sunday, Feb 8

This morning, Dad and Mom attended

the 6:30am mass.

Then we drove to Petaling Street

and had beef noodles and curry mee.

Oh my. Totally sinned against our

carnivore diet.

We went to the mall at mid morning.

Chinese New Year is just round

the corner. Mom decided to get

a few new outfits for our up and

coming cruise.

So, Mom was at this retail outlet,

trying out a few clothes.

Mom sent 2 photos to Dad.

Dad replied : Both nice.

Wahh. At the time of checking

Dad's text, Mom just noticed that

her photos to Dad were sent at

12:12.

How perfect was that.

You were clearly with Mom.

Grin.

The day before on Saturday,

Mom tried on this red dress.

Dad said : Not nice.

Pause.

Dad didn't make any attempt

to mince his words.

Your father didn't like the sleeves.

Oh well.

Good thing Mom didn't insist on that

puffed up sleeves. The sleeveless

dress fit better and is more her style.

Coming out of the fitting room,

Mom went over to queue at the

cashier. There was quite a long

line of customers.

As Mom was inching her way to

forward, Dad sent this following

photo :

Awww. Blessed 21.

Mom replied : I just saw a big 21 shirt too.

After paying for her purchases,

Mom brought Dad to her 21 t-shirt

and asked Dad to pose.

Haha.

A big 21 at the back of Dad's tee.

Seeing both the 21 t-shirts today,

Mom told herself she would give

you a call later at home.

ie : now.

She wanted to call you last week,

as you know, but all the eviDANs

(photos) that she took were no good.

So, last Sunday, Feb 1st ...

Justine and Mom were at the

Gardens Mall.

We attended the 11:30 am mass

with Dad.

After mass, Dad went to do his thing,

and your sister and mother drove

to the mall.

Justine wanted to do some work.

Being a public holiday,

there was heavy traffic.

On top of that, there was a long line

of vehicles going into the mall parking.

Your sister drove into the mall parking,

from one level to the next, trying to

find an empty bay.

There were like 100 cars on each level.

All the vehicles were nicely parked

and there was not a single person in sight

who were coming to get their cars.

We drove up to the level 2.

Then level 3.

Level 4.

Mom had a feeling you would

have a bay for us at this level 4.

But no ...

Fully parked.

No vacant lot.

Wow. Seriously?

Not even level 4???

You are not having your lunch

now, are you, Son?

Justine drove up to level 5.

You must have seen your mother

holding her breath she scanned the

parking place with her eyes.

Left and right.

Ahead and behind.

All bays were filled.

Then at level 6 ... Mom finally spotted

a family heading to their car.

Ahh, there.

Mom pointed.

Justine saw.

We waited by the side for the car

to drive out.

The car reversed out.

Justine drove - backside - in.

Just as we were in the bay,

another car next to us, drove out.

What?

Two cars went out at the same time?

Side by side.

Both cars went out within 30 seconds

of each other. The driver was already

in her car when we drove into our bay.

Mom said : When Daniel is near,

he zaps us in twos.

All through levels 1 to 6, there was

not a single car that moved out for us,

and now, suddenly, there were 2 that

drove out.

2 cars side by side.

You were near.

We felt your presence.

It was a busy day, that day huh.

Thanks, Son.

We walked into the mall.

The first thing that we saw was a

huge crowd that had gathered to

watch a lion dance performance.

Suddenly Mom saw.

An orange t-shirt with the number 4.

Mom pointed it out excitedly to Justine.

Justine smiled and nodded her head.

Yes, Mom knows.

You wanted us to know that

you were clearly with us just now,

looking for an empty bay.

Mom was so busy explaining to your sister,

she forgot to take a photo.

She should have.

Darn.

The orange tee just stood out ...

with the number 4, of all numbers.

We walked over to DOME.

Your sister took a table.

Mom told Justine :

"Order a cappuccino for me.

I'm going to the washroom."

You would have seen your mother

hurrying back to the crowd

watching the lion dance.

Mom took out her handphone.

All ready to take a shot.

Now where is that orange number 4???

Mom searched every inch of that area.

The crowd had dispersed a bit.

The orange number 4 tee was nowhere to be found.

Dejected, Mom walked back to the coffee house.

Never mind ...

You know ...

Your sister knows ...

Mom knows ...

Good enough.

About 5 hours later ...

We were ready to go home.

Dad texted that dinner was ready.

Justine packed up, and we walked to

the car.

At the car, Mom got in.

Justine slid in.

Mom was not expecting anything.

Suddenly, we noticed the car right

next to us, on our right, started

its engine, and drove out of its bay.

We followed suit.

Oh wow!

Would you look at that???

What are the chances???

Your sister was surprised too.

When we came in, there were 2 cars

going out.

Now, we are going home, 2 cars also

going out at the same time.

A smile appeared on your mother's face.

You are making your presence felt,

Mom knows. You were clearly with us,

we know that, Son.

Monday (2nd) was a replacement

public holiday.

Federal Territory and Thaipusam.

Dad and Mom went to IKEA.

After our brunch at IKEA

cafeteria, we were walking around

at the mall attached to IKEA.

Mom spotted a HUGE number

94 staring at her in her face.

Quickly, she tried to take her

handphone to snap a photo.

Darn!

The guy turned.

The 94 was in front of his t-shirt.

Your birthday year.

ZAP ZAP ZAP !!!

Mom was kinda in hiding behind

a pillar, waiting for him to turn

around.

He did not.

He walked straight toward this

glass door exit.

Ahh.

Your mother tried to take a photo

of the reflection.

21:09

It did not work.

Sigh.

Mom had to go.

Dad was waiting at a distance.

She was behaving in a very

suspicious manner.

The CCTV might pick up on her.

Mom lamented to Dad, all

the way to the car park.

We got our car.

Dad drove out of the mall.

A few minutes later,

there was a massive, humongous

signboard in front of us that flashed

this (see the white board):

21:18

21:18

Wahhh!

Mom said, "Son must be saying,

is this BIG enough, Ma?"

Hahaha.

So that was last Monday : IKEA.

The following day, Tuesday (3rd),

was also a holiday.

Dad and Mom brought Grandma

to the Gardens Mall.

Grandma wen to look at some CNY

goodies.

Mom went to a skin care outlet.

She wanted to get a cleanser.

As your mother was walking along the aisle,

a big number 21 was staring back at her.

Mom grabbed her handphone.

Oh dear.

Mom was too near the girl.

Mom walked past her.

It was too difficult to snap a

photo of the back of the tee-shirt

without arousing suspicion.

That was a big number 21.

Smile.

Thursday (5th) came ....

Back at home, Mom turned on the TV.

Anthony Chaffee was being interviewed

by these 2 guys.

Your mother was not really following.

The TV was just on.

She only sat right up when this part came.

The number 21.

And the number 7 ...

as in triple 7???

We were driving to the mall,

when this 7777 caught Mom's eyes.

Oh wow, Mom breathed to herself,

saying out loud, "There's just one too

many 777 the past few days ..."

Smile.

All you.

Saturday (7th) ...

Dad, Mom and Uncle KK went

to the Pavilion Mall.

We spent the whole day there.

In the evening, back at home,

this hallmark movie was playing.

Before long, this scene came.

1221

That's a 2121 for Mom

all the way from Heaven.
