Thurs, February 8
We left for our CNY holiday on Thursday.
Planned for 8:30 am.
By the time, we loaded the car and picked
up Grandma and Aunty C, it was about 8:45 am.
The music in the car at the time was slow and sleepy.
According to Grandma. Haha.
Dad's slow jazzy music.
So Aunty C put on her prerecorded songs on her mobile.
Pause.
First song that came on ...
Mom's ears pricked up like an alsatian.
Say what?
Hello from the other side ...
Mom was smiling from ear to ear.
Hello from the other side, Mom said
aloud in the car.
Dad nodded with a grin.
Daniel is saying HELLO.
Hello Son ...
Thank you Daniel, for reminding us that
you are always by our side.
It was a smooth drive to the foothills of Genting
Highlands. The CNY traffic had not start yet.
We arrived at Gotong Jaya about 10 am.
For brunch.
There was a long row of shop houses.
We picked one that was somewhere in
the middle and looked the busiest.
Dad mentioned that the eatery place is called 66.
Mom's number.
Her birth year.
Also, a ZAP number.

About an hour later, we continued our drive
up to Genting.

We walked around to check out
dining places for dinner that evening
and also for Reunion Dinner the next
day (Friday).
Aunty D and family will be arriving in the
evening, just in time for dinner.

Friday, February 9
Reunion Dinner
On Friday, we spent half the day at the
indoor theme park.
There was no crowd so the lines to queue
for each ride was not as crazy as before.
Always good to visit Genting before the
peak time.

Grandma and the rest were having
their noodles in another eatery nearby.
After our meal, Grandma brought
Justine to get a member card so your sister
can collect points at the casino. Haha.
It's not like we were gonna be spending
a lot of time at the slots.
Dad and Mom have our own cards.
Zero points.
Hehe.
Aunty D, Aunty C and Uncle C all
have their cards.
By the time we got all the cards
sorted out, it was almost 1pm
thereabouts.
Aunty D and the children went to the
indoor theme park. Aunty C went back
to the room to do some work and catch up
on her sleep.
Dad, Mom, Justine and Grandma went to
the casino.
We were at the roulette table.
Individual tables.
Grandma sat on one table.
Justine on the second table.
Dad on the third.
Mom was standing in between
Justine and Dad's tables.
Grin.
The casino was practically empty.
Unlike during CNY time when
Grandma has to stand by a table to
wait for her turn to play.
It was still early at Genting -
being reunion day.
Most people are at home having their
reunion.
Aftee a short while, Grandma made
1,000. Mom asked Grandma to discontinue
and take a break. Grandma cashed out.
Justine made 200.
Dad made 700.
His big bet was on number 24.
Dad got quite a bit of chips back for
that number 24.
We decided to stop and cash out.
Then just as we were about to leave the table,
the voice over came on and announced:
Number 24
What!
Number 24???
Again???
Two times number 24???
Why, that first prize on Dad and your
birthdays. Remember?
Mom couldn't contain her excitement.

25 is Mom's birthdate.
Dec 24 : Dad and your birthdays.
Message received, Daniel.
You are once again reminding us that
you are right beside us and watching over
us - like all the time.

Number 2424 came out first prize
on your birthday in Dec 24.
Grandma's second round at the roulette.
Dad, Mom and Justine left Grandma
at the table and went to look
for a cafe to have some tea.

and some cheese-ham buns,
Dad, Mom and Justine
went to the indoor theme park
to see the children.

We all went back to our respective rooms
at 5 pm to change and get ready for
the reunion dinner.
By the way, Mom forgot to mention that
our room number is 16100.

We enjoyed the yummy hot pot dinner.
The lamb was certainly tender and delicious.
After dinner, we went back to the hotel lobby
and took some photos.

Little did we know then, that 2 days later,
our Horse power would show up in the top
three lucky numbers - no, we didn't win
anything - we didn't buy the numbers ...
Haha ...
Just knowing that the top 3 numbers were
connected to us (3 generation of Horses)
made Mom feel - invincible.
Need to get ready now.
Taking Grandma out for lunch.
