Call 245 : REMIND ME

Hello Son,

Tuesday, July 5

Mom's really really really sorry for not calling the past few days. Been trying to the last few nights, but would You believe, she fell asleep at the computer a couple of times, and the other times, Dad made her shut down the computer with his :

"Will you turn off the computer? You're falling off the chair. Son knows what You want to tell him. You can talk to him tomorrow ..."

And tomorrow just never came ...

Where did all her energy go?

Honestly, she feels like a deflated ball ...

Even tonight ...

She's not gone to kindy on a full day basis since You left.

Somehow, You've made July her official return date. Will have to tell You about that long story in a bit. You really are with Mom, aren't You, showing her one step at a time, what she's supposed to do.

Today, after dropping Justine off at college, Mom drove straight to school. Early in the morning, she heard Teacher L calling out in a sing-song manner,

"Daniel, Daniel, come here Daniel ...

Don't take that, Daniel, put it back ...

Don't put that in your mouth, Daniel ..."

How not to smile, Son, and think of You?

Anyway, Mom was busy with admin stuff, and was smiling from ear to ear as she tried to imagine what little Daniel was trying to put into his mouth, when her handphone beeped.

It was Dad reminding that he needed to use the car.

It was 10 am already.

Already?

Mom sent a return text @ 10:01 am, telling Dad that she was on the way to the condo.

However, for some reason, she couldn't go immediately ...

Anyway ...

When she could finally leave, You must have been shaking your head as You watched your mother drive like she was on a race track.

At the condo, Dad was leaning against a pillar at the lobby, appearing to be reading the papers. He hopped into the car. If he had been waiting long, he didn't say it.

Dad was supposed to drop Mom back in school.

Just as we were about to leave the condo, a familiar tune came on the radio ...

COUNT ON ME ...

Awww ...

Mom pointed to the time.

It was 10:18 am.

Decode : 244

OMG ...

Two Four Four ???

Call 244 : Rocket Zap

Bruno Mars began ...

If you ever find yourself stuck in the middle of the sea

I'll sail the world to find you

If you ever find yourself lost in the dark and you can't see

I'll be the light to guide you

Mom said, "Eh, Count On Me ..."

You can count on me like one, two, three

I'll be there and I know when I need it

I can count on you like four, three, two

And you'll be there 'cause that's what friends

Are supposed to do, oh yeah, ooh, ooh

That Count On Me line touched a nerve and your mother suddenly found her vision blurred. Her voice quivered as she tried to tell Dad, "I haven't been writing to Son the past few days, my last call was on Thursday, and he's still telling me I can count on him ..."

Before she knew it, she broke down and bawled like a baby.

"I've been trying to write the past few days, but I can't ... I'm just so tired," she sobbed. She's only just started going to school on a full day basis, on Monday.

If you toss and you turn and you just can't fall asleep

I'll sing a song beside you

And if you ever forget how much you really mean to me

Everyday I will remind you

Dear Lord, just what is this song doing to her?

Every day I will remind you ...

That did it. Tears streamed down her face. She couldn't hear anything that Dad said. She was beyond comfort at that moment.

Then came the line :

You'll always have my shoulder when you cry

I'll never let go, never say goodbye

Oh Gawd ... This song is killing her ...

No Son, never say goodbye ... We'll just say, "See You later ..."

"He even knows when I'm crying..." Mom was practically crying her eyes out by then.

She calmed down and wiped her face with the back of her hand, as we approached the kindy. She stopped the car at the gate. The song came to an end. What perfect timing. Mom pointed to the time on the dashboard.

10:21 am.

You must have seen your mother's face radiated with sheer happiness,

"How cute is he? 10:21 ... That's 4 ... And 21? TWO signs to make sure I know he's with me ..."

Mom was only in the car for like 5 minutes, and in that short time, You had zapped her with a message and made a connection. Honestly, had she gone to the car immediately when she received Dad's text at 10 am, she would have missed the zap. She was so meant to hear the song ...

That was awesome, Son ... <3

Everywhere Mom is, there You'll be ...

Call 70: Count On Me

In Call 70 ...

Justine said she caught the word Cry from the Count On Me song, when she brushed away her tears. What a coinciDANS. What are the chances of Mom sobbing away, and hearing that line same line comforting her ?

TWO similar inciDANS?

This is too easy, Daniel ...

It's nobody, nobody but chiu ...

You'll always have my shoulder when you cry ...

Thanks Son ... <3 ...

We love You and miss You so very much ... <3
