Call 151 : MAJOR FIREWORKS

Hello Son,

Thursday, March 10

Ash Wednesday was yesterday.

Lent period has started.

From ash to ash ...

Solemn thoughts of your ashes in a ceramic white urn were all your mother could think of during mass yesterday.

Justine passed her driving test.

She was out at her driving place the whole day yesterday. Mom was with Aunty H at Starbucks, attempting to brainstorm a project when she received a text message from Dad.

Two short words: Jus passed!

Yayyy! :D

You must have been thoroughly entertained watching your sister impress her instructor from a fat white cloud up there.

Grin.

Did You help to clear the way for her car? She said she was very lucky her instructor was a nice, jovial person. He must had a sprinkling of angel dust on him to be in a really good mood ... :D

Anyway, are you ready to continue from where we left off at Call 150 : Number Four before your mother abruptly jumped to Call 169 : Oh Maria ?

Saturday, February 5
3rd day of Chinese New Year

Aunty Diana and Chris were leaving for Tawau after lunch.

Before they left, Chris gave Grandma a card.

It's a green froggie Thank You card.

See what Chris wrote here?

"Daniel - our invisible cupid & guardian angel."

aww ... that's nice, yeah ... :D

Wednesday, February 9
7th day of Chinese New Year

Justine came back from kindy at 1:30pm.

She had with her a large packet of Mamak Rojak. We were soon eating fried glass noodles and rojak, sprawled on the carpet before the television, which was then showing,

Behind The Scenes : Black Swan.

Half-way eating at one point, your sister sprang up, reached for the telly remote, to change the channel ... to ...

SpongeBob ...

Your favorite cartoon show ...

A few seconds later, would You believe it but the CampFire song came on.

Oh Wow ... How did J ...

Heart-warming memories of the both of You attempting to sing this song, in a fast manner, flooded in to fill your mother's thoughts. You must have whispered to Jus to switch the channel ...

You must have ...

It was just moments before the CampFire Song came on. How would Jus know when to change the channel? Honestly, how could she have known? What are the chances? Seriously ...

O -- kayyy ...

Mom didn't want to over-react ...

Mom asked, "Did You know SpongeBob was on?"

Justine said, "Yeahhh, it's normally on during this time..."

Ohh ... Your mother did not expect to hear that ...

O -- kayyy ...

Still it didn't explain about the perfect timing ...

Maybe it was just a small, very very small, coinci DANS.

Your mother shrugged to herself. She badly wanted to believe that that was one of her usual ... You know ... coinciDANS ... but somehow, when Justine said she knew SpongeBob would be on, whatever sparks your mother had felt initially, fizzled right out ...

and was quickly replaced by a cold feeling of ...

emptiness ... disappointment.

We continued eating ...

Half-way through, Justine told Mom that the day before, she was with Grandma. They were on the highway on the way home from a wedding dinner, when she happened to catch sight of a billboard that advertised the movie:

I AM NUMBER FOUR.

Your sister said that she was just staring into space (her own words) (it was night time) as Grandma was driving, when she happened to suddenly looked up at one point, turned to the left, just in time to catch sight of a large movie-poster and the date it would be hitting all the screens in town.

Jus reminded, "It's starting on February 24."

Mom said, "Your brother must have whispered to You to take a look at the poster." :D

Pause ...

Hmmm ...

Two incidents ... similar in nature.

A coinciDANS, no doubt ...

I AM NUMBER FOUR

on February 24 ???

Sure, we'd go watch the movie when day comes ...

Had the movie been called

I AM NUMBER THREE or

I AM NUMBER SIX

we'd probably not have paid too much attention, but ...

I AM NUMBER FOUR ???

On top of that, of all the dates - 24 th?

Your birth date?

Yeah, we gotta go watch ... all the signs were there ...

Call 43 : Angel Sign

Late that night ...

Mom was writing the entry on Call 133 : Rubber Band.

Type type type before the computer ...

Just before midnight ...

there was a loud phom phom phom sound ...

followed by a spectacular and continuous display of fireworks that lit up the black sky in the most magnificent manner imaginable!

Mom refused to allow her attention to be distracted and had only looked up from the computer to see the fireworks exploding in the sky, for a few seconds, before going back to her call-entry. However, before long, her eyes were soon glued to the fireworks ...

Dad and Justine were exclaiming their delight, both kneeling on the sofa by the window like how You and Jus used to do when you both were very small, expressing in child-like wonder ...

Wahhhhh ...

Wahhhhh ...

Wahhhhh ...

at each burst of fireworks in the sky.

The fireworks were exploding into tiny threads and dots of fire-lights right outside our window, at close range. On and on and on the fireworks went. What a treat we all had that night. Like a special entertainment from the sky.

The fireworks were so loud and so near that Jus said you could feel the heat, and at some point, she thought they would shoot into the condo.

Dad was so entranced with the display. He said in open amazement, that in his entire 50 years, he has never EVER been so close to fireworks before.

Your father was like, "Wahhh, amazing ... That's the closest you can get to see the awesomeness of a fireworks demonstration ... right outside our window ... about 30 feet away. Normally, you see fireworks with the eyes ... this one you can feel ... You can feel the effect ..."

Yeah, honestly ... when you talk about fireworks, you normally look up into the sky and watch it from a distance. This time, the fireworks were exploding into tiny fire - sprinklers right outside our window!

It really was like a live show ...

Just to show You how near to us the fireworks were. Dad said, "Some of the sparkles actually hit our window..."

Really, it was simply breath-taking spectacular. :D

When the fireworks finally ended,

Dad said,

"The fireworks are a special treat from Daniel... :D

Yeah, Mom and Justine think so too.

Of course, that would be from You ...

Entertainment in the sky.

Why, that's your specialty. :D

See Call 86 : Sky Show

It was so unusual and totally unexpected for that splendid demonstration of fireworks to happen that night ... and in that way. Loud crackling pop noises followed by continuous explosions of colorful bright fire-lights were literally sprinkling down from where Dad and Jus were watching by the window. Truly a sight to behold.

Oh, the awesome-ness ...

It must have been from You ... :D

It was too magical not to be from an angel.

Must have looked really pretty from where You are, Son ...

You would soon drop some signs to let us know that You had something to do with the fireworks!! :D:D:D
