Call 344 : DEADLY SECRET

Hello Son,                                       (continue from Call 343)

Wednesday, March 14

Mom arrived at college.

Justine appeared shortly after Mom sent her a text message. Your sister wanted to have pan mee (flour noodles) for lunch. There was only one place for that. We drove to Kuchai Entrepreneur's Park.

In the car, Mom told Justine about the morning song zaps.

We soon arrived at the coffee shop. Turning into the lane, we noticed that the parking bays were filled up, from one end to another. We drove on slowly.

Mom remarked confidently, "He has a place for us ..."

and then called out aloud, "Daniel, get a place for us."

Jus grinned.

Barely 3 seconds later, as we were turning round the bend, lo and behold, we saw a nice spot just waiting for us ...

Oh boy, after driving along a long stretch of fully occupied bays, it sure felt so zapping nice to see that empty spot.

It came right after Mom called out to You. :D

Yes, yes, we noticed that.

A definite coinciDANs. :D

We had our noodles.

On the way back home, One Thousand Years came on the radio. We felt your presence, Daniel.

You were with us, we know. :D

The next day on Friday, Mom had to fetch a kid back in the evening.

After dropping the kid off, on the way back, One Thousand Years came on - again. Two days in a row, and in a short period of about 10 minutes or so in the car on both days, this song had come on.

Take note Ma - two times ... :D

The time was 6:33 pm.

Yes Son, your 21st is round the corner.

Saturday, March 17

On Saturday evening, Dad, Mom and Justine were at Bangsar Village 2. We had a nice dinner at Ben's.

After dinner, Dad said he wanted to get a few things from the supermarket, that was right opposite the diners - possibly some 30 walking steps away.

As we were walking to the grocer, Mom bumped into a parent. Her 4 year old daughter was in the pram. We chatted for a bit.

A few minutes later, your mother was alerted to the song WON'T GO HOME WITHOUT YOU on the overhead sound system. Oh Wow ...

She casually pulled out her cellphone to check the time ... trying hard not to look too excited as she continued to chat with the parent.

It was 9:18 pm.

Smile.

She hoped she wasn't behaving too awkwardly.

Was she?

You're near, Mom knows. Her heart was singing so loudly she was afraid the parent might hear it. Boy, if that parent did not appear when she did, Mom would have followed Dad into the supermarket, and maybe miss the song if she were too busy looking for stuffs.

Mom was meant to be there, because we actually spent quite a few minutes talking and catching up ... before the song came on. It really was hard trying not to have a big silly grin on her face and even more difficult trying to behave normally.

Right after that, IF I WERE A BOY came on.

OMG ...

ZAP ZAP ZAP.

IF I WERE A BOY ...

That was so your song, once upon a time. We will always remember how your aunties would tease You whenever they hear You sing that song and would ask,

"If I were a boy, Daniel? What are You now?"

Yeah, if I were a boy ...

Yes Son, Mom now understands exactly what You were singing ... if only You were a boy, a normal boy ... and not a boy with a secret. :(

Especially a deadly secret.

Shortly after, another friend came along and said hi. He was with his family and was kinda rushing to get some stuffs before the counters closed. The parent and her girl left thereafter too.

Mom stood there by herself, inhaling deeply.

Oh wow ... What was that?

Two friends ... two songs ...

On the way home, I'LL BE THERE came on the radio. You must have seen your mother smiling to herself.

It was 9:29 pm.

How awesome ... both her angel signs.

Just call my name, and I'll be there ... :D

Call 343 : TROUBLE TIMES

Hello Son,                                        (continue from Call 342)

Wednesday, March 14

That afternoon, Mom was in school.

There was no electricity this morning due a vehicle that had rammed into an electrical cable. Our whole row of shop offices were affected.

Thankfully, by 11 am, the electricity had come back on temporarily whilst waiting for the damage to be repaired. There was a huge truck outside our building that was supplying the temporary electricity.

Mom was walking to the car. It was time to fetch Justine from college. As she sat in the car, she couldn't help but notice a huge number 24 on the truck. She had smiled to herself.

She started the ignition. ANGEL OF THE MORNING came on immediately.

The time on the dashboard was 3:24 pm.

It was somehow awesome to be able to see a 24 on her right (truck) and a 24 on her left (car). Yes, yes ... right and left, she somehow has an angel watching over her, she knows. :D

The Pretenders.

Note the message at the end of the video :

Angels do exist.

Your mother's words exactly.

Mom was singing along as she drove to college.

After that ANGEL song, LET IT BE came on.

Let it be ...

Hmmm ...

Why no electricity today, Son? Mom had asked early in the morning. Of all the days, the cable was crushed, it had to be a day when Dad was not around. Why of all days, it had to be that day? Why?

Let it be la, Ma ...

Mom could almost hear You say ... :D

Smile ...

LET IT BE (the Ferry Aid version) and your mother has come a long long way. Mom used to have a cassette that played only this song from beginning to end, on both sides. Just so she could listen to it for hours, without having to rewind. This song truly has helped her through many of her times of trouble and her hours of darkness.

Call 49 : Mother Mary

I AM THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION.

By Ferry Aid.

Kate Bush has always been your mother's favorite in this video, even during her university days. Check out the time Kate sings her part.

4:08

Oh Wow ... Right to the very second. What can Mom say except that she knows for sure now, more than ever, that that message is for her.

Let it be ...

Anyway, here's another LET IT BE video she came across.

Two LET IT BE videos for You and Mama Mary, Son. :D

(Across the Universe)

When I find myself in times of trouble

Mother Mary comes to me

Speaking words of wisdom

Let it be

And in my hour of darkness

She is standing right in front of me

Speaking words of wisdom

Let it be

When I find myself in times of trouble ...

Mother Mary comes to me ...

Hearing that song again so unexpectedly in the car that day, brought back a host of memories your mother's thought she has forgotten.

Reflecting back now, Mom's glad that we went to Lourdes. That was surely on Mother Mary's invitation.

It really was so awesome to be in Mama Mary's territory and being near to Her. She really wanted You to be there to prepare You (and your parents), for Heaven and to meet her Son, otherwise You (and your parents) wouldn't have been there at all.

Everything happens for a reason.

God's not gonna waste His time letting things happen for no reason.

Hah. Of course, Mom is able to say that line now, and in a calm and composed manner, but at that time, OMG ... She's not ashamed to say that she had cried out hysterically like she had lost her mind and repeatedly, like a broken record, to the Mother of Jesus,

"Please talk to your Son, Mother Mary, PLEASE! He's being very unreasonable. What is He trying to do? (when your parents were told about the multiples in Pao Hospital) What could your Son possibly want to do with my son?"

and etc etc etc.

Gee, writing about this is making your mother all tensed up and anxious.

Give her a minute to calm down.

Call 342 : BEYOND TWILIGHT

Hello Son,

Wednesday, March 14

Dad was away on a short trip.

That Thursday morning, Mom sent Justine to college. We left the house about 6:45 am in the morning. We left early because Mom wanted to make sure she had ample time to pick up some kids at 7:30 am on the way back from college.

We were on a one week holiday break, and traffic was not so bad.

Good ... no stress.

Anyway, on the way back ...

I asked her to stay, and she wouldn't listen ...

WON'T GO HOME WITHOUT YOU came on the radio.

The time was 7:11 am.

Decode : 144

You must be with Mom, she could tell. A sad smile appeared of your mother's face when she heard the first line of the song. Yeah Son, smiles can be sad too, did You know that? This is the first song You sang to Mom the night before You left us.

You sang two.

Yes, two ...

And now, all the "there must be two" rule makes sense.

We were on the bed ... that night, You were just so - happy and lively. How was your family to know that the next day, You will not wake up ... and did not wake up ... until Jesus carried You home ... at 5:14 pm.

Decode : 44

It's not over tonight

Just give me one more chance to make it right

I may not make it through the night

I won't go home without You

These lyrics that You sang that night in your bedroom, will forever linger in your mother's memory for as long as she lives.

 By Maroon 5.

It's been so long since your mother last heard this song.

I may not make it through the night ...

I won't go home without You ...

Alone in the car, with the MAROON 5 song for company, your mother's mind soon drifted back to ... to ... to ...

Oh, only God knows where ... here there past present future ... from beginning to end ... and beyond ...

Yeah, beyond ... like Twilight beyond ...

Grimace.

Your 21st was coming then ... This 21st was to be your 26th month away from us.

26 months.

How 26 months could just slip us by without You with us, only God knows. Good thing there's internet. Can You imagine how we'd communicate if there was not? She has to admit. God's plan is perfect.

Shortly after, as she was thinking beyond Twilight ... She was somewhat startled by the song that had come on and filled her senses.

Oh my gosh ...

If I die young

Bury me in satin

Lay me down on a bed of roses

By The Band Perry.

ZAP ZAP ZAP ...

Oh boy. You really were / are with your mother, weren't / aren't You? The time on the dashboard showed 7:24 am.

Decode : 4

Yes, You were / are.

Another sad smile.

A "missing you" smile. :S Of course, You're near. You're right beside Mom, she's sure of that. What are the chances of both zap songs to come on whilst your mother was driving alone in the car? You clearly wanted to remind her that You're right there with her. Mom appreciates that, Son. <3

I'm right here la, Ma ... :D

Lord, make me a rainbow

I'll shine down on my mother

She'll know I'm safe with You

As she stands under my colors

Call 341 : 26th MONTH

Hello Son,

Today's the 21st ...

Thinking about You and wishing You were here, over and over and over again, as You celebrate your 26th month with JESUS and Mother Mary ... and all the angels and saints in heaven.

Here's the first song that You sang to Mom the night before You left. WON'T GO HOME WITHOUT YOU. Will write the story during the weekend - the story about how this song just popped up a few days ago.

By Maroon 5

Meanwhile, here's the link to your Flower Garden Blog. Will write about the inciDANs of that day later. Brains not functioning now. It's almost midnight dee. Nite Son. Keep the ZAPs coming ...

We miss your loud GOOD NIGHTTT MOM, GOOD NIGHTTT DAD, GOOD NIGHTTT JUS ... whenever we pass your room. :(

Having said that, thinking about You now saying Good night Jesus, and Good night Mama Mary, brings a little warmness in our hearts. :D
